Monthly Rentals in Ropehaugh

We stayed for two nights in Butterfly Cottage 25-27 January. When we arrived the cottage was warm, well lit with music playing, it felt very welcoming. We loved the quirkiness! There was a starter pack including milk, fresh orange, butter, biscuits and freshly baked bread by Bruce which was delicious 😋 The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped throughout. It has fabulous views which will be even better in the summer months especially as there is a sitting area outside and a garden. We would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Anita and Bruce for providing such a lovely place to stay.

Spent a lovely few days at Mill Cottage bunkhouse with my son. Sarah was very friendly and we felt very welcome. The bunkhouse is very comfortable warm and well equipped. The little extras provided like chocolate and eggs were a wonderful surprise. A fabulous place to stay at an even more fabulous price! Will definitely stay again if I am in the area .

The cottage is just beautiful, everything had been well thought through with style and good taste. The kitchen was excellent with everything we could possibly need, the house was warm and cosy and the bed super comfy. Overall the location was an absolute dream - would recommend the Allenheads Inn if you’re walking that way. Normally we use airbnbs as a base to be out every day but with this cottage, we ended up wanting to spend time in, just enjoying the cottage. We’ll definitely be back!

Firstly, Amanda was super proactive in facilitating check in and instructions to find the property. She provided a great tour of the place, which was exactly as described online. There was a folder bursting with local recommendations for hikes, places to eat, linked activities, pretty much anything you could want! The house is lovely, warm, well styled and perfect for a short or long term stay with every appliance you could need. It really was a home from home. It is a 15-30 minute drive to some of the best hiking, and will take you along the A686 or B277 which gives some of the best views in the Pennines! Overall, such a great place to stay in a brilliant location with welcoming and unbelievably helpful hosts. I will be back for sure!
