Nature eco lodge vacation rentals in Rivas

We had a wonderful stay. A proper jungle experience, we even had a tarantula in the outdoor shower!

This stay was special in exactly the way we thought it would be. You’re sleeping right in the middle of the jungle, but protected with a net on the bed. You can hear all sorts of animals throughout the night and day which enhances your experience. The restaurant on the grounds is magnificent and has amazing food. Our host Megan was so supportive and proactive with our constant change in travel plans. She also helped setting up a guide to hike the volcano as well as took care of our ferry tickets to come in (we did ourselves for the way back due to last minute changes and it was a huge pain) Overall, if you’re looking to be immersed in nature on an island with several good restaurants and plenty of things to do. This stay is perfectly located for that and offers great value for the price.

Lizzeth and Mark are amazing. They were very responsive before I arrive and during my stay gave me a lot of insight on things to do on the island. Very laid back and peaceful home. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay at Ananda. The private terrace was amazing - so relaxing being able to have breakfast served there with the view of the gardens, monkeys in the trees and Conception in the background. It’s a very comfortable place with great amenities- the private kitchen is huge and some good local restaurants even deliver takeaway if you want it. It was also nice not having to worry about bugs getting into the apartment as everything is contained with doors and windows having mosquito screens. And the guys are super helpful and responsive when it comes to organising taxis/transport/tours etc. As others have mentioned the road to get there is bumpy and we were pleased to have hired an ATV to get around. Highly recommended all round!

Liked this place a lot. I got a private room here to take a short break from the crowded hostel life. The folks here were super chill and cool. The owner Johnny is awesome. Very chill guy and super flexible and good with communication. Would highly recommend!

This place was a dream!

If your looking for an authentic experience this is it. We were hosted by Mama Rosario. She made an amazing dinner. I’ve been in Nicaragua and it was the best meal I’ve had to far. The dogs were friendly and super sweet. In the morning my two younger children helped collect eggs and played with Mamas sweet grand children. They really liked Mama and kept asking me, “how do you say, Can I help?” so they could help cook. Mamas breakfast was incredible as well. We would def stay here again. Thank you!!

This home is situated in the best position on Ometepe. The pictures of the view does not do it justice! You won’t be disappointed. The staff are welcoming, the home is spotless and the breakfast is a must. The whole home is perfectly built for a wonderful stay, the friendly staff bring your breakfast to your own private porch area while you sit and watch the view of the Conception volcano. It is 100% worth climbing the Maderas volcano a short walk from the home (ask for Marvin!)

Chris and Beth’s spot is a gem. A perfect location to get away from the craziness and be surrounded by natural beauty. The location is perfect, about 15 minutes outside San Juan del Sur, giving you access to the town but also providing a quiet slice of paradise. The accommodations are terrific. The room is clean and comfortable. Chris and Beth are incredibly gracious hosts. The communication leading up to and throughout the trip was 10/10. Chris helped schedule a shuttle from the airport and was incredibly helpful making sure my day trip went off without a hitch. Beth was also incredibly kind and hospitable and cooked amazing food. I highly recommend spending some time here.

We had a great stay at the eco-lodge! The room was nice and the gardens are beautiful, the pictures don’t do it justice! Santa Cruz is a lovely small town with everything needed. Would really recommend staying here. Staff super helpful with renting scooters and other information. Thank you!

As indicated in the description, Spike's place is more remote than other places and was a bit of a haul on the moto but it was worth it. The room was very comfortable, clean, with a great breeze at night. The only noise at night was the lapping of the waves of the lake and howler monkeys and roosters in the morning. It was not far to San Ramon to hike to the waterfall and the lakeside there was also nice for swimming. But the best part were Orli and Carla who were amazing hosts (Spike was away) and made great meals even given my daughter's dietary restrictions. They were very helpful for anything we needed and super friendly. We loved our relaxing week there.

Absolutely incredible accommodations. All the staff were so friendly and extremely accommodating. Anything that we needed was looked after immediately. The view was incredible, the place was very clean! The dogs Osa and Alfie were such a highlight for us as well. The breakfast was amazing. 10000/10 We’re so grateful for this experience and would absolutely love to come back! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!!

Chris is a wonderful host, very friendly, and makes you feel right at home. Their space is beautiful, absolutely gorgeous, even better than the pictures!! The kitchen was awesome and very well equipped, we cooked most meals because it was so lovely. Playa Hermosa is a wonderful, close by beach that is very chill and has a great open-air restaurant. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful refuge! We will be back!!

Probably best room we stayed at during our trip in Nicaragua. Room is big and well furnished. We enjoyed it. Nice view on the Vulcano from the garden. If there would be a pool in the garden, it would be 6/5. Be cautious with the street leading up to the house - I’d only recommend for experienced scooter drivers or ATVs. Taxi was fine.

This place was a dream!

We loved our stay here, it had a real jungle feel but we felt comfortable and loved the cabin. The staff were all very friendly and helpful through out, we felt very welcome. The shared kitchen was a lovely space and we tried some delicious fresh fruit. The breakfast included was delicious, but we did miss the rice and beans for fuel for the day if you’re doing some hiking etc. We rented ATVs and had a taxi to and from the port, this was all easy to organise with staff and made the trip stress free. The only suggestion we had would be to have the ATV rental times a bit more flexible, we arrived at 3pm and would have been charged the full $65 to rent one for the afternoon, which seemed a lot for just a few hours as we had one from 8am the next day. I do recommend having one for the stay though as it made it easy to explore the island and was really fun. We enjoyed Balgüe which had some lovely restaurants and it was a great base to explore. We would be delighted to stay here again.
