This house is great for families or multiple people traveling for a retreat. It has great space. The views overall (there are multiples) are amazing. The view from the deck is simply magical, the most magical. It is hard to capture the feeling you get when you see the view from the main deck in person. You will be relaxed and transported to a magical place the minute you walk in. My family of 8 (plus 3 who stayed nearby) spent a glorious 4 days. The host recommended Conchita, the cook who arrived at 7:00 am everyday. OMG she was the best cook. Simple meals with great flavors every day. She was a life saver. There are no restaurants nearby (only a very expensive and limited restaurant by Aqua). We were spoiled with Conchita’s food. Felix, the caretaker gets 5 starts. He was 100 percent responsive and a hard worker. Our host was too. She was responsive immediately with all of our questions. We are grateful she shared her beautiful home with us. It is truly a special place. Bring games.

Amazing place to stay a few blocks outside of the main part of the port of you want slightly more quiet but want to still be able to easily walk to everything! Loved my stay here

We had an amazing vacation and felt in paradise. Ideal for couples looking for a bice peaceful place to stay and if you surf, location is in between popoyo and santana. The outdoor area is beautiful and you are right on the beach. Bella treated us as friends and was always available and willing to go the extra mile. We will be coming back

I highly recommend this place, the house is pretty clean, the pool is clean and has all the amenities that you looking for vacations, Definitely I’ll be back in the future. Omar is very responsive and Jose the caregiver is very friendly.

We spent just a few days and now wish we had stayed longer. Wilbur’s place was simply wonderful. Set right on the lake and surrounded by a beautiful garden. Well situated on the island with easy access to many of the highlights. Simple, clean and comfortable with a great bathroom. Would recommend for a relaxed and peaceful stay.

Our stay at The Beach House was absolutely perfect. We cooked every dinner at home and The kitchen had more items than my own kitchen!!! Often, Airnb's have few dish towels and bathroom towels.. not the case here! Yay! The air conditioning worked great! Hot water too! The pool was sparkly clean. Sophie was quick to respond, and very friendly and accommodating from the time I booked to check out. She even let us know about local ceviche and coconuts!! I think the biggest compliment to an Airnb is if I would stay there again and I would say yes definitely!

We were very happy with our stay. It's very comfortable and Carolina was an amazing host. Just a short walk to the beach.

Mariella has all the quality of a great host. My group and I had some unexpected inconveniences due to Covid-19 and Mariella was extremely kind, helpful and accommodating to our needs and situation. She was helpful and easy to reach and talk to. As you can see in the pictures the apartment is beautiful and San Juan del sur is a favorite destination for many visiting Nicaragua!

Casa Mafalda is a unique place, in this beautiful beach, it feels a tranquility, peace, and being surrounded by trees and vegetation , next to the cottage, in front of the beach, it does better, we had a great time, both María Elena and Julio and doña María, very attentive to everything, we are going back

Helen and Lee are fantastic hosts. Their apartment was exactly as described and the images bang on. Messaging Helen and Lee was an absolute breeze. We never had to wait for a response which is great when you don't have roaming cell service and wifi can be limited outside the apartment. The apartment itself was very comfortable and really clean and had everything we needed. The grounds and pool were beautiful and very well kept. I would absolutely stay there again. Thank you Helen and Lee.

We had amazing experience! The house was great. It was beautiful, centrally located, and even better than we expected. Even though we were right in town the house made us feel secluded. The pool was lovely, the beds were comfortable, and the showers had hot water and good water pressure (not what we found throughout the rest of the country). But what really made the experience great was Mary Jane - she had so helpful and friendly. She made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us several times. I can’t imagine a better way experience in San Juan del Sur.

Place is beautiful! Karin, and Leonel were amazing. The road heading to the house is rough so drive careful and then it is a very inclined drive up hill. Overall staying here every time I come, very peaceful!

We stayed one night, arrived a little earlier and were able to enter without any problem. The house is very comfortable and spacious, it has different environments that make it very cozy, I would definitely return. Don Luis and Don Samuel's attention was excellent.

Ken's place is a comfortable home away from home. The condo has everything you need for a few days or a few weeks. We were especially happy to have screened in windows (not a guarantee in this part of the world) and great fans that reduce the need for A/C. (the A/C was excellent when needed) The complex is quiet and secure and onsite staff were friendly and helpful. No hesitation renting here again, we were very happy and comfortable!

Couldn't expect for more at this dream beach front location. I had the best time with this beach front property. Photos simply don't show how beautiful and peaceful it si. Big thanks to Dominic for great advices to enjoy the best Popoyo has to offer.

We felt warmly welcomed by Linda from the very first minute and thoroughly enjoyed every moment in her beautiful little house. Our expectations of the accommodation were more than fulfilled. We had a fantastic time at Martin’s beautiful beach front paradise in Popoyo. Martin is a lovely and very accomodating host helping to arrange a scooter, tips on what to do in town and being very responsive for whatever we needed. The property has everything you need for your stay and more. The location is perfect as it backs directly on to the beach with supermarkets, restaurants, board rental, etc all within 5 minute walking distance. Highly recommend!

This place is absolutely wonderful! Situated just across the river from the main area of San Juan del Sur, it offers the perfect balance—close enough to walk to restaurants and bars, yet far enough to enjoy peace and quiet away from the weekend festivities. The river is easy to walk across at any time of the day, making access to town simple and convenient. Ronaldo, who lives on the property with his family, was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. Although we used Google Translate to communicate, he was always quick to assist whenever we needed anything. The house is just a two-minute walk from the beach and features a beautiful outdoor space, perfect for relaxing at home. Highly recommend!

Unbeatable view and close to the beach which has excellent waves for surfing. I had a very comfortable stay.

Carolina’s beach home is in the most beautiful spot, and was such a perfect beach escape for our family. The beach is stunning and most of the time it felt like we had it to ourselves. It was so nice to have the option to walk to the hotel for dinner, which was amazing. We never felt too hot since there is amazing shade around the house and gazebo, perfect for kids. Carolina was the most attentive and hospitable host you could imagine! Thank you so much Carolina, we hope to come back again one day !

To make it short: It’s the place we wanted to stay longer and longer. Beautiful, reduced natural interior, stunning light in the morning, nature sounds from birds to monkeys to breaking waves in the night and this very special feeling coming home when you enter after a good surf. Dunia is a great host, responsive, ready to help, laid back, just welcoming.
