Monthly Rentals in Raymond Island

Very peaceful cosy cottage, set in a beautiful rural location. Not far from Paynesville with its access to Raymond Island. Very comfortable bed, we slept well. Stacey is a friendly and responsive host.

I've stayed in many AIRBNB over the past 10 years and without a doubt John's place is the best property for the money hands down! Location is peaceful and beautiful. Scenic water views directly out the front with rabbits grazing in the green grass and colourful parrots visiting the bird feeder. There is a walking track right there too or option to stroll via the lake to see all the boats. A visit to Raymond Island which is just a few minutes drive away is a MUST. we saw 21 koalas but 200 live on the island. John's place was exactly as the pictures show. Bright and airy with huge windows. Their are 2 bedrooms downs stairs and the main upstairs in the mezzanine level with its own bathroom. This bedroom has no doors and has a view out to the water. The kitchen is really well equipped. We cooked all our meals easily and the choice of wine glasses, crockery and cutlery was very generous along with all those really handy items like oil, spices, gladwrap. There is a washing machine too.

We had a lovely two night stay. It was a real wilderness stay starting with the short ferry ride to a small but comfortable cabin with all the essentials such as a comfy bed and hot shower. The cabin is set in a tranquil location with garden /lakeside views & access to the water. We have been travelling for a few weeks & enjoyed the peace & quiet. I was chuffed to bits to see Kangaroos in our back yard our first evening. Then in the morning there were lots of birds & we spotted so many koalas in the trees on the nature trail. If you need any food there is huge supermarket in Paynesville and cafes just a hop across on the ferry. We were met and made to feel welcome.

Really comfortable and spacious accommodation. We felt very much at home there. Well equipped. We enjoyed the garden which led down to the private berth. Unfortunately, we didn’t have a boat, but no matter! Very much enjoyed visiting Raymond Island, fortunate enough to see over a dozen koalas, a kangaroo and lots of birds. A great stay and can recommend to anyone.
