Vacation rentals with a kayak in Pulaski County

The perfect retreat! The views from every window and the large wrap around porches were breathtaking. The house was immaculate, decorated beautifully, comfortable and very well-appointed. Our family celebrated a birthday, Thanksgiving, and Christmas during our stay and the kitchen was made for all of it. The double oven and double dishwashers were so convenient for all our cooking and it was incredibly well-stocked. Jill was the friendliest host and was extremely helpful in planning our trip. She went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable - she even went out to get a roasting pan for our turkey on Thanksgiving Day! Our boys had so much fun with the countless toys and board games that were so neatly organized throughout the house. We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit and had lots of fun with the air hockey table. We're already dreaming up a summer visit to use the hydro bikes and kayaks on Claytor Lake!

Beautiful home with excellent views of the lake and valley--it was especially lovely as the leaves were turning. Also, the place has dark skies for star-gazing on a clear night. All rooms were clean and as-presented in the photos and description. Jeff sent some very helpful info and photos to help us drive in to the house--especially helpful since the last ~1 mile is on a private, relatively narrow road. Also, my Android Maps app on my phone was clearly sending me to the wrong location (i.e., not to the lake), so we relied on my spouse's I-Phone--which brought us right in. (Interestingly, Google Maps on my laptop had showed the correct location, but Google navigation on my phone was pointing elsewhere.) Recommend you pre-check your nav feature in advance of your arrival. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a serene location with great views and lake access.

This was a great stay! The host responded within minutes. They were very accommodating for my group with our last minute booking. The host went above and beyond to make us feel right at home. We will be back!

We gathered here with family from NC, GA, and PA a few days after Christmas. There were 12 of us and one pet and ages ranged from 16-81 and there was plenty of space for everyone in this large home. Being winter we couldn’t take advantage of activities on the lake but there were plenty of board games and a game room that were well enjoyed by all. We highly recommend this home and Chris is a friendly and helpful host.

House was very clean . Everything you need for a comfortable stay was right there , even phone chargers! Bathrooms are brand new and super clean . Kitchen was well stocked, even had coffee for us. We loved making a big pot of coffee for everyone in the morning !! Lots of bedrooms . The road leading to the house was very narrow and hard to navigate at night but was fine during the day. We really enjoyed our stay !!

We had a fun time at Chris’ lake house. It was very clean, quiet, and had all the amenities as described. Hot tub (with its private surround) was enjoyable during the winter temps. Ample kitchen supplies since there aren’t any restaurants around. Make sure to get groceries beforehand!

This was exactly what what we needed to unwind and recharge. The views were amazing and the house had verything you needed. It was great to be able to fish from the bank of the river. The kitchen was well stocked and one of the best yet in our view when it comes to pots and pans and all of the cooking utensils you would need. The primary bedroom has a great view of the river and it was nice to wake up and see the fog rolling off of the river. The bedroom upstairs was perfect for my daughter who enjoyed having a space to relax in larger than her dorm room. The painted wood floors and little island in the kitchen gave this home so much character and charm. We loved this home so much and hope that Frank will continue to rent this out for a few more years. would love to get back in the Spring and Summer. We stayed here at the Hokie Home a second time and loved it even more than the first! It is located on a very peaceful section of the lake and we spent many delightful hours lounging on the top story of the dock. We also enjoyed eating on the decks and are grateful to have found a place that is dog friendly and has room for the whole family.

One of the best Airbnbs my family and I have ever stayed in. A beautifully-renovated historic home, that still keeps its charm with updated amenities. The home is located in a very peaceful, remote location. We enjoyed riding bikes and walking on the trail. Would love to visit again in the future.

We had a great stay at the Redwood Lodge. It is exactly as described! The private sauna and hot tub were the highlights. The bed is very comfortable, and the lodge is well stocked with all the essentials and more. David is a wonderful, generous host. There's plenty to do nearby. We enjoyed hiking at Buffalo Mountain, checking out the shops in Floyd, and visiting the farm store at the Floyd Ecovillage.

This cabin was perfect for our 'girls weekend' away! The property owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The cabin was clean and had all the necessities for a comfy stay and the restaurant right down the road made for an easy first night to settle in. Would definitely stay there again!

Overall a great place to stay! Definitely will be back. Only things I will mention the driveway close to the home has a significant amount of ruts. My sister’s Chevrolet spark struggled to get up the driveway. So if you have a smaller vehicle may not the best choice for you Secondly the lack of window coverings in the loft above the kitchen, these windows look straight out into the driveway so was just a little uncomfortable This one of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at, they offer so much. And you cannot beat the views!

The place is located in a very quiet neighborhood. It had a cozy vibe and plenty of space for 2 people. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the kitchen as well as the amount of towels there were for the bathroom and hot tub.

This super cozy cabin in the woods was perfect for a weekend in the mountains! It was quaint and comfortable and convenient to Floyd. We loved sitting by the wood burning fireplace in the living room and the bed was super comfortable. We’d definitely stay here again!

These folks run a top-tier stay in the middle of the Blue Ridge Mts. My family enjoyed the getaway, and we soaked up all of the air and sun that we could! Simply put, we are already planning our return next spring. Thank you so much!

We were so pleased to last minute be able to stay here! The hosts were so helpful and very friendly. After enduring two significant hurricanes back to back it was the perfect place to unwind and find mental peace again!
