1 bedroom flat near Dunfermline Town Train station

GiacomoRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had such a great Xmas week staying at Vijay’s! The flat is in the perfect location to visit Edinburgh and the area called Kingdom of Fife, in fact during our stay we visited Edinburgh several times (we always drove as services might have been reduced over the festive period, yet Dunfermline train station seemed very close from home) but we also got a chance to see Loch Lomond, the whole coast up to St Andrew and Loch Leven (this last one only 20 mins drive with a lovely walk that circles the whole lake if one has time to do it all). It was spotless and toasty when we arrived and we were greeted by an unexpected Xmas tree which we really appreciated! The kitchen is fully furnished allowing us to cook a big Xmas meal as if in our own home; the rooms are extremely spacious; the sofa bed is super easy to open and there is still lots of space left even if not closed. We always found parking for our rented car just under our bedroom window and the neighbourhood felt safe and quiet!

Prime Commuter Executive Apartment Dunfermline

DouglasRating, 5 stars8 months ago
This was quite a nice place, well furnished and very comfortable, though a bit out of the way, though we knew that when we booked the place. The place is do-able for people like us who relied on public transport, as it was about a 10 minute walk to the closest bus stops and a train station, and then another half-hour ride into town. But it's probably better suited for people who have a car. There are a few shopping/dining options nearby that aren't bad, but if you're walking, make sure you walk in the right direction towards the town called Rosyth, not towards the bigger nearby town called Dunfermline, which is more interesting (and birthplace of Andrew Carnegie!) but too far to walk. The key situation was slightly confusing, as you need to use a one-time code to get in the first day, but the code expires after that and you need to use a fob that's inside the house to get in afterwards. But we got things sorted and everything was fine. Very nice experience overall

Linlithgow quiet 1 bed with kitchen and garden

My son stayed here for most of the week, perfect for what he needed. Clean and tidy with a good basic kitchen allowing him to cater for himself. Good to have off street parking and felt safe. Will most definitely be back if accommodation available for dates required.

17th Century Dovecot, 20 min to Edinburgh by train

VitaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
We stayed here for Christmas and New Years and Leon so kindly decorated the unit with a Christmas tree and other festive decorations which really made the whole experience even better. We true felt like we were at home away from home. Also, our adapter gave out and Leon was so kind to drop off one for the remainder of our trip. The walk to the train to take to Edinburgh was no more than a 5 min walk away. To conclude, we really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend.
