Ranch near Pinnacles National Park

KimRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Amy's home was spacious and very comfortable. The setting was beautiful and peaceful. The proximity to Pinnacles National Park was ideal, allowing us to start our hikes early and not worry about limited parking at the trailheads. Amy was very responsive and helpful. We hope to return!

Hollister Hills, The Pinnacles & Wine trail CabinB

Recently-built, everything works. Small but efficient, good for two. Right amount of whimsy. Lots to look at from the big nice porch: long horn cows, horses, about 15 species of birds. We even saw a fox as we first approached. Loud frogs at night. If you like watching birds you can just sit on the porch for hours. Bed was comfy. Kitchen was serviceable, got the job done, but would not work for serious indoor cooking (two electric burners and a toaster oven). Good BBQ set-up though. Has all the needed hardware but definitely bring all the foodstuffs, condiments that you require e.g. mayo ketchup butter salt pepper etc as you can't just run down to some store. Did not need to run the AC or the heater in April, opening/closing the window facing the hill was enough Temp control. My goal was to stay in a place with a goodly amount of surrounding nature and be able to get to Pinnacles quickly, and this place fit that bill very well. Big porch + birds cows horses = win.

The Telegraph Office Cabin, near Mercy Hotsprings.

PatriciaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
I had a wonderful stay in the Telegraph Office on Collette’s dairy farm, Claravale! I enjoyed sharing coffee and stories with Collette & a new neighbor, as well as touring the farm, meeting two newborn baby goats, sitting on the porch to soak in the beautiful surroundings, & hiking in Pinnacles National Park! The drive to Pinnacles is beautiful & takes under 90 minutes from the farm. The town of Hollister is about an hour’s drive from the farm & has all the amenities one could want. The Telegraph Office is cozy with an incredibly comfortable bed & a beautiful & newly renovated bathroom. The porch, replete with rockers, & the deck & fenced backyard add to the living space, & Collette is in the process of installing an outdoor kitchen on the deck. The sink and mini-fridge are already up & running! Collette’s farm is busy, yet peaceful. I miss it already! P.S. If traveling north on 5 to reach the farm, do NOT take the “shortcut” exit 368 Panoche Road, even if offered by Google Maps!
