We spent 10 fabulous days at Giovanna's house. The house is set in beautiful gardens with a lovely pool. The house is very spacious and beautifully furnished, it was superb. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. The house is very well equipped, it had everything we needed and more. We used the BBQ's most evenings, eating outside & enjoying the sunsets. We bought great local produce from the local butcher who was very friendly & helpful. You can get most supplies from the local shop in the village including charcoal. The house was a good base to visit the area including Ragusa, Noto, Modica, Scicli, Ortigia & Marzamemi which can all be reached in approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour. We travelled a little further to visit the amazing mosaics at Villa Romana del Casale. Thank you for making my husband's birthday so memorable and special. We were very sad to leave and can't wait to return. Thank you Giovanna and Carmelo!

We had a wonderful time here. Vincenzo is very warm and gave us valuable restaurant tips and explained the surroundings to us. The apartment has everything it needs and is lovingly furnished. We enjoyed the nostalgic style very much. In February, of course, it is cooler, but with the two fireplaces, a fireplace and the air conditioning in the bedroom, you could get muddled. For the terrace with the wonderful view, it was too cool. But there are cozy seating in every room. We made beautiful trips by rental car in the area and would have preferred to stay much longer. Vincenzo is very discreet, we only saw in at the beginning. And if anyone is afraid of dogs- Tom and Dina are very sweet and especially Tom is very cuddly😊. For anyone who likes it quiet, this place is ideal. Highly recommended!

My stay here was perfect - the apartment is beautiful, spacious, clean, so stylish and homely and had everything I needed for the one month I spent in this lovely place. Modica is historic, beautiful, and a very friendly and easy place to be. It has marvellous food in the abundant restaurants and cafes and plentiful shops but what made my stay was the delightful hospitality of my hosts who went out of their way to make my stay better than I could have imagined. I really cannot thank them enough and can’t wait to return to Casa Stella and Modica, I have left a big bit of my heart there.
