Sarah and Peter’s place was exactly what I needed. The cabin was a short walk into the woods but then you felt secluded and unconnected to the busy-ness of the world. The place was so clean and calming, I had a hard time to leave. Peter met me at my car and got me situated at the cabin. As well, he showed me the sweet outhouse and trails around the property. At night, I could hear owls and other wildlife sounds. Looking at the stars from the cabin deck was breathtaking. A beautiful retreat! Amazing hosts! Can’t wait to go back. 😊

I arrived feeling exhausted after a long drive from the USA. But, what a great place to land in Nova Scotia! I slept like a baby in a very comfy bed. The surroundings are beautiful--tucked amidst trees and overlooking the waters of La Have river- I found a little piece of paradise here. The cottage itself is charming. A well stocked kitchen including treats from the La Have bakery. Can't resist that! Joe is such a friendly and kind host. I appreciated that he was always quick to respond to any questions. He can tell you about all the sights and restaurants in the area. My favorite was Cresent Beach about a 15 minute drive--what a place to walk your dog and experience the ocean. I highly recommend staying here!

What a splendid place to stay. Spectacular sunrises every morning, so relaxing & peaceful. Daun is an exceptional host,lovely lady,very helpful & a pleasure to have a chat with. I would definitely stay again.

Peaceful and relaxing. A home away from home with its beautiful open concept, spacious kitchen, large open deck, and the best views ever from the primary bedroom. Just about everything you'd need is supplied. Extremely accommodating with our 4 cats and never any hesitation. Check in is scheduled for 3:00PM, but we had a message saying we could check in earlier. The view is absolutely stunning all throughout the cottage from the beautiful north Atlantic ocean across the street to the family of three deer casually exploring the area. The fireplace is the perfect way to warm up in winter. I can only imagine how nice it would be in summer with two beaches so close by. We enjoyed our Christmas immensely at The Lookout that we were sad when it came time to leave.
