Meredith’s place has everything you need for your stay. The location is excellent, the view is pretty and there are lovely sunsets. Duck has a boardwalk where you can walk along by the Sound and plenty of interesting shops. All the restaurants we tried close by were good. We didn’t use all the amenities as we visited out of season but there’s a lot for just about anyone to enjoy during their stay. The only downside to our stay - and not Meredith’s fault - was an unusual giant cloud of midges which settled outside the house so we had to run the gauntlet through them! They don’t bite or anything, just annoying and we heard from locals it was an unusually large number. Hopefully they’ll be gone for the next visitors! If asked, we would definitely recommend Meredith’s home. It’s a really lovely place.

What a gem of a place Olga and Yury have in this little loft appartement! We had a wonderful time in their home. The layout is incredibly well thought-out and has been beautifully set up with everything you need and more. We felt right at home so much so that we had to coax our kids to explore the beach! Olga and Yury have been welcoming hosts from our very first exchange, and communicative throughout. They were kind and generous, looking after our needs and even providing a refund when they found out the internet was not going to be fixed when they expected it to. We would love to return to this peaceful home, and will highly recommend their place to our friends and families. Thank you!

Wonderful... Family Christmas vacation was wonderful for my family and elderly parents. Olga was thorough with instructions. House was CLEAN, spacious, and beautiful. Kitchen fully equipped for finishing Christmas dinner. This was my family's first vacation away from home at Christmas and everyone wants to return next year. Thank you Olga!

Without a doubt one of the best places we have stayed in. Alan was easy to communicate with and super responsive . The house was beautiful and in a peaceful area. Neighbors were wonderful. Kitchen was easy to cook meals in and had everything we needed. Beds were clean and comfortable, showers were hot and towels were fluffy! The sound was a walk down the driveway and had great sunsets. Beach access was less than a 8 minute drive. Beach towels and all things you need were available. Pool was perfect and clean. The canal at the back of the house was great and lots of wildlife to hang out with. We would without a doubt come back again!! Just loved this place so much!! Thank you Alan for making our vacation so stress free and enjoyable!!

This was a fantastic house for our family (six teenagers ~ three boys, three girls). There were bedrooms and beds such that almost everyone had their own bed. (two girls had to share a king which was perfectly fine). The kitchen was well stocked, there were ample paper goods (paper towels, tissues, toilet paper) and coffee pods to get you started. Each bathroom had a hair dryer and Tresemme shampoo/conditioner along with Dove body wash so you could pack at little lighter. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room at the table/on the couch for all 8 of us (often when we rent houses the table/couches don't seat all of us at once). The house was very close to Wright Brothers Memorial, Jockey's Ridge, good restaurants, ice cream and grocery stores. We've stayed at the OBX five times in the last 5 years and this spot was the most convenient and comfortable. If it had a pool table it would be impossible to beat.

Comfortable, inviting space. Everything was clean, modern and the amenities were well stocked. When back in the area, we will definetely check availability at Artem’s place first!

Enjoyed our stay. Loved that we could utilize the community pool since the beach had red flags during our entire stay. The beach access private parking was also a plus. Hot tub was a great way to end the day. Lots of space for family meals at the dinning room table.

We really enjoyed our stay here! You can tell that Yuliya has put care and thought into creating a welcoming space at Velvet Oyster. We had everything we needed and felt right at home.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kearney Castle and we will definitely be back. The rental was in the perfect location and the views of the ocean were perfection. I love that the owners allow us to bring our dogs. They loved the beach too! The hosts recommendations for local restaurants were spot on. We loved Mulligans and Noosa Beach Grille. The deck was awesome also. we visited off season but the street was quiet and the beach was mostly empty, which we loved for the dogs! The house isn't brand new but that's what we loved. We loved the handwritten note instructions on the fridge and the sea shell shelf as a guest book of memories for all the past guests!
