It has a beautiful view and good House but it needs more space for carriage

Black Shack was so lovely, super clean and relaxing. The decor and furnishings were stylish, the facilities were easy to use and had everything we needed. Janine was very welcoming and hospitable, communication was polite and prompt and the care and attention was wonderful. Cannot recommend more highly , if I had a holiday house I would want the black shack. Tasmania is quite far away for us to visit often, but we will stay here again when we go to Maria Island again.

We really loved staying here. Everything you could need in a beautiful, peaceful farm. Only 10 minutes drive to the Maria island ferry. Would 100% recommend

We really enjoyed our stay of 2 nights - great access to Maria island (and this is well worth a day trip!) The apartment which is underneath the hosts home is very well equipped - lots of condiments in the pantry, lovely coffee AND chocolates and wine on arrival too! Beds were comfy and the space very clean. Kitchen is well equipped with crockery, pots, dishwasher and cook top (no oven, however frypan) I would say not suitable for young children as the patio has no railings and a child could easily fall off. Also worth noting that charging of electric vehicles is not allowed by the host.
