amazing host Mr Nesmani and the caretaker ganesa was also great . the breakfast provided by them was quite sumptuous and left us wanting for more . The photos of the property don't do justice it's actually even more beautiful in real.

We had a very nice stay here. We received clear communication & instructions. The expectations were set well and upon arrival the space matched what is seen in the pictures. The view is absolutely lovely. There is a slight bit honking you hear from the highway, but that’s just Ooty these days. Nothing that takes away from the experience. The garden is maintained very well and the caretakers were very helpful. The food was cooked to our spice preferences and served in a timely manner. We visited in January. During the day, if you’re sitting outdoors, the weather is lovely with the warmth of ample direct sunlight balancing out the cold. In the evenings however, it can get quite chilly and the heaters provided are only effective when in very close proximity. Additional blankets are provided but I would recommend carrying sufficient sweaters, socks etc if you are sensitive to cold weather. We had a comfortable, peaceful stay and would love to visit again.

Staying at the heritage cottage in Ooty was like stepping back in time. The ambiance was absolutely enchanting, with vintage furniture, roaring fireplaces, and stunning views of the Nilgiri Hills. The attention to detail in preserving the heritage of the cottage was remarkable. The caretakers (Saravanan and Family) were incredibly hospitable, ensuring that every aspect of our stay was perfect. This is a very good place to stay if you are in Ooty. Some things I really liked about the place: - Well decorated, and the feel and decor of the place matched the photos, which is really nice to see. Doesn't always happen that way. - Beautiful location on the side of a mountain, so you really get a nice view and a feeling of immersion when you are there. - The host is VERY accommodating and goes out of his way to make you feel welcomed. He went above and beyond many times and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. He helped us arrange cabs, book tickets, make travel arrangements and was always very quick to help. - You have a housemaid who comes in everyday to help clean One warning is the house is located on a very steep hill, so it can be difficult to drive into, but this is true for most places that have nice views in Ooty. But overall this place is very comfortable and better priced than similar listings and would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay at the property and thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of the villa. The view from the main deck and living room is just spectacular and perfect to disconnect from city life and enjoy the valley surroundings sipping on some hot tea. The host was very friendly and welcoming. Also, Vinay took really good care of us and made some lip smacking dishes which was an added bonus. All in all, we had a really memorable weekend and the property is much recommended!!

One has to try their green chicken!! It’s so yummy. Anand and Vybhav were very helpful and always responsive. We had great time and also its very close to the safari gate as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Amazing property at a peaceful location, with clear night skies and a crisp, cold during our visit. You can enjoy delicious meals prepared by the caretaker, Mr. Lethif, at a nominal charge. Breakfast is complimentary and is good. The host, Mr.Pronoy was very responsive and guided us for the local activities. However, we chose to stay at the property as property and it's surroundings were beautiful.

Our stay at Kalikavu has been the highlight of our 3 week trip exploring South India and loved by everyone in our group of 8 people - children and grown ups alike. The lush surroundings of rubber, betel nut and coconut trees and colourful plants with the mountains seen in the distance made it a perfect place to relax and take in nature. We all wish we could have stayed longer. Louis, Riyas and the ladies who prepared delicious meals for us were really helpful and made our stay very special. Particular thanks to Riyas who took us on a walk to the hidden waterfall where we all enjoyed a refreshing swim. We would definitely recommend Kalikavu to anyone wanting to explore Silent Valley and enjoy the beauty the valley has to offer.

From the moment Prakash and his brother Sarvesh met us at Ooty station, we knew our stay at Pine View Cottage would be a pleasant experience. Both villas are well maintained ,and comfortable, set in a lovely position, overlooking the neat, terraced vegetable fields. The garden terraces are a superb place to catch the sun and there are pleasant and safe walks into the pines. Both villas are serviced by Raja and his wife, Sumati, always with a smile. Whist the town is about 4km away, a short walk through the village will bring you to shops and a taxi stand. Drivers can be arranged to visit the local beauty spots and nature reserves. The houses are not really set up for self-catering but a kettle and basic tea/coffee facilities were provided on request. Breakfast is included in the rental, All other meals, are charged at a reasonable rate, other extras include the building, of a fire , (the nights can be very cold) and all costs of taxi/driver hire. We would recommend that the visitor clarifies, at the very start of their stay, what extras they would like, together with an approximate cost. Sumati’s cooking is superb and she will take requests for all meals, (some westerners may not like curried breakfasts). Prakash, Sarvesh, Raja and Sumati could not have been more helpful, in every way, Prakash is anxious to gather feedback and act on it. A bonus, for us, was the presence of Ceasar, a friendly Labrador puppy!

The property was very fine, it was very peaceful property there was no disturbance even the caretaker was very nice.

Caretaker was so friendly and helpful and made us feel like we are at home. Place is so beautiful, even so far beautiful then pictures provided. From place, we did walk to Ketty station many times and it was awesome. Place is properly fenced so our three dogs kept exploring the place whole, playing and got tired so we can enjoy our bonfire and grill party in night with views of mountains and sound winds.... this was one of best trip we had..

It’s a nice cottage with lots of space. There are several bedrooms, a large living room, a dining area, and kitchen. In front is a large garden along with space to park three cars. The caretaker, her husband and children reside on the property in a room outside the cottage. They are very helpful and will cook meals for you if you tell her a day in advance. There is a grocery store close by to get groceries if you want. The room was comfortable and spacious. The lawn is very nice. There is a nice view of a valley in front.

This was our first stay using Airbnb and it turned out to be exceptional! The house was very clean and the owner Mohan and caretaker Palanisamy were very responsive and respectful. The location is amazing with spectacular views, nestled among the tea estates and away from the noisy city traffic. Had a great time with family!
