Vacation rentals with lake access in Onrus River

We had a wonderful time at this lovely home. Situated right next to the lagoon, it is the perfect location to relax and unwind with plenty of activities available. We will hopefully be back soon!

We really loved our stay! The view is amazing and hearing the waves while falling asleep felt like a dream!

A really beautiful home that worked perfectly for our group of 3 families. We all loved the bunk beds in the rooms for the kids. The house was brilliantly equipped with extra toys for the kids and pool safety. There was an excellent kitchen. There wasn’t anything that we thought was missing. The views were gorgeous and we all had so much fun on the lagoon. Janette was helpful and kept in touch throughout.

Had a lovely stay! Had all amenities! Felt right at home, modern feel and great facilities for the kids to use! Will definitely be back

We had a fantastic stay at Lagoon Edge which exceeded all our expectations. The position is fabulous overlooking the lagoon and the sunsets were wonderful. Superbly equipped and Nicki was marvellous , always in touch to check everything was ok. Swimming pool and tennis courts close by as a great extra. Couldn’t have asked for more and very much hope to return. We loved it👍👍

We had a fantastic family stay at Carol's beautiful beach home. It was spotless. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and we felt at ease and relaxed from the minute we walked in. Nice courtyard at the back to entertain and keep out of the wind on some of the days. Otherwise, a lovely braai spot in from of the house on the verande with ocean views. Morning coffee on the veranda every day, with a view of the ocean, was a treat. Just a short walk down the path to the harbour with restaurants and little shops as well as soft serve ice cream. A brisk 2km walk down to the main beach all along the coastline making. Carol was super friendly, and her home is truly a gem.

We fell in love with the village of Stanford and the soul restoring River Home. This beautiful house is right on the river's edge and is a real treat (and retreat) to stay in. Just the place to surrender to nature, listen to the birdsong, rest and restore. We loved walking along the delightful river path. A short walk into the centre of town will bring you to several delightful restaurants. We ate at three of them (for lunch at Madré we enjoyed a really good pork belly with crispy skin and vegetables, at La Trattoria we had a feast of authentic Italian food and Agteros has a menu full of delightful South African dishes done with a modern twist). We also brownsed in some delightful homewear and gift shops. If you prefer eating at home, the kitchen at River House has everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. It is spotless, has a great gas hob and electric oven and a dishwasher for cleaning up after.

the place was lovely. the residents of the estate were a bit too sensitive towards music. we weren't playing music that loud and were asked to lower the volume by 9:30 in the evening. felt like it was a bit overboard. the estate manger was by all mean just doing his job by asking us to keep it down, not angry or annoyed at him in anyway.

We had such an incredible stay at Rene's place! Great location, clean, and really kind and helpful host. We loved the outdoor shower! Walking distance to the rock pools and beach and a short drive to Hermanus and the town. We can't wait to come back to visit.

Highly recommend this lovely apartment in the heart of some of the best vineyards in RSA. Comfortable, clean, tastefully appointment with beautiful views and garden.

We really enjoyed our time at the cottage. it was quiet and peaceful but close enough to all major sites and lots of restaurants. The cottage is well furnished and has more than everything you could need for a shor or long stay. The garden and patio are well furnished and make for a relaxing chill spot after a long day of sightseeing. Our pets were also well accommodated for and had a wonderful time playing in the garden.

Kyle was a fantastic host and the accommodation was fantastic. It was even better than the pictures. Very central within walking distance of everywhere. The apartment had everything you needed and more the attention to detail was outstanding. I would highly recommend and would definately stay again. Thank you Kyle for making our stay so easy and hassle free.

Serina and her husband were lovely hosts, kind and friendly. The room we stayed in was very clean, comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated. It was peaceful and easy to access. Onrus is a good place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Hermanus. It has a lovely beach and a few good restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed staying with Serina and would love to return.

The host Rian was very friendly & informstive, always gave me updates, very quiet & clean place. Definitely i will revisit Riann' s place "Coco cabana again, i will refer friends & relatives.

Very nice place. Picture perfect views, immaculate unit. Well organized, well equipped, piecefull and relaxing. Good braai area. We will be back !!!

The cottage was fantastic, beautiful setting with great privacy. You have a whole dam to yourself, walk in the vineyards, relax in the wood fire hot tub under the stars. No complaints, but do not plan to cook a lot of meals, the kitchen is small and washup area, we lit a braai outside and that was perfect. Definitely would recommend and return.

The cottage was private and plenty of outside space for our beach toys and dogs.

Jannie was very helpful, we had a lovely time, such a peaceful place. The kids really enjoyed building with rocks in the river and we went on lots of outings to onrus beach, the Hermanus Saturday Market and various winefarms all very close by.

Lovely location, remote enough for nature lovers but just 15min from Gansbaai for groceries, etc. Plenty of scenic walks for all fitness levels, multiple swimming spots, nearby Lomond wine farm has great MTB trails. The cottage is spacious and comfortable, the covered outdoor seating area with braai is a relaxing vibe. Would revisit for sure.

Super host indeed. Felt fortunate to share their family holiday home. It added to the warmth of family feeling for myself and my family as we spent Christmas at the holiday house. We spent far too little time and needed just another few days. I have not seen my parents that content in a long time. It was homely and had everything I needed, especially over the Christmas time. Sharps knives, nice stemmed wine glasses, more than sufficient and a nice variety of crockery and cutlery to entertain. An old time family holiday home. Where memories are preserved. What a privilege to stay here! The scenery were breathtaking! The bed in the master bedroom slept like a dream! We had everything we needed. You would not be disappointed!
