Family-friendly vacation rentals in Norfolk

Our stay at the Forest Lodge was just what we wanted, beautiful surroundings with acres of space to explore with the dogs right from the doorstep. The amenities at the Lodge were outstanding, more than you could ever need, hot-tub was hassle free and always ready for when we needed it and the pizza oven was great after days at the beach. Fantastic location with being less than an hour away to lots of different beaches and only 30 mins into Norwich city centre. Paul and Chrissy were great hosts always responsive and accommodating for our needs.

We stayed at Forestry Cottage to celebrate both my girlfriend’s and my son’s birthdays, and it was truly the best place we’ve ever stayed! The host went above and beyond to make the weekend special—decorating with banners, balloons, and even surprising us with a cake. Their kindness didn’t stop there; they messaged us on the day of arrival to say we could check in early and, on the day of departure, told us we could stay as long as we liked, making the experience even more relaxing. The hot tub was a massive hit with the kids and was spotless, having been freshly cleaned between guests. The whole stay was comfortable, welcoming, and beyond our expectations. We can’t wait to return in the future—highly recommend!

We had a lovely long weekend at Anna’s Coach House celebrating my mum’s 60th with my family. There was something for everyone including our 3 toddlers. Grounds were beautiful & the house smelt lovely & clean. Anna was very responsive & helpful during the lead up to the stay as well as during our stay. The only slight negative myself and my guests had was that upon booking we had expectations that some things would be included in the price as it was shown in the photographs (hot tub, extra fire wood,electric charger for example) but these were all at an additional costs that we were unknown about when originally booking. There were a few logs but didn’t last more than half an evening. Apart from this everything was lovely & we would recommend Anna’s Coach House.

We spent a lovely extended weekend at the barn visiting our family in Norfolk. The barn was clean, warm and comfortable and had everything that we needed. Jill and Phil were friendly and welcoming and check-in and check-out were easy. The super-king sized bed was comfy and the hot tub was an added bonus after a busy couple of days with the grandchildren.

Our host reached out to check in on our arrival, making sure we were settled and knew how to use the amenities, including the hot tub. There were five of us, and the space was perfect for both cooking and relaxing. We were also given great recommendations for the local beach and a good chippy, plus the beach itself was lovely and sandy. The property is about a 30-40 minute drive from the city center but is surrounded by smaller towns, perfect for supporting local business at the Christmas markets or seal watching. I'd definitely return—it's in a great location with a lovely host.

We booked a family break here for mum's 80th birthday and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful, spacious accomodation in the countryside - very peaceful and lovely surroundings. We were there during storm Bert and stayed cosy warm indoors with a roaring fire and the wood fired hot tub also got used by all three generations - lovely memories celebrating mum's 80th. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

What a lovely, cosy cottage. It was beautifully presented with fresh flowers, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The welcome cake, Prosecco and milk were really thoughtful touches and gratefully received. Communication from our hosts was fantastic and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dog Cottage and can’t wait to visit again.

We had a lovely time at Nick and Liz’s cottage with our kids. It was a great base to explore around Norfolk. The view across the fields was really peaceful. Liz was really helpful with local recommendations for pubs and places to explore.

We cannot recommend this place highly enough. Beautifully decorated with everything you need and more. Melissa and Chris were exceptionally warm in their welcome. Recommend the local dairy for raw milk, etc.

A beautiful and authentically decorated and furnished Victorian cottage, located in a peaceful village next to the church. Liz was a wonderful host and left us scones, cream and jam for our arrival. I very much enjoyed learning about the history of the house and the surrounding area. There is every convenience you might need during your stay and Liz is just across the courtyard should you have any queries or concerns. Highly recommended!

Just wow! The cosiest, most beautiful cottage, close by to shops and beach we didn’t need to use the car. Went on the Norfolk light express which was magical, then back to put the fire on, feeling very festive. Thankyou Fiona we will be back!

Our 4th stay here and loved it once again! Perfect location to enjoy this incredible part of the country. House is great as always and Sophie was on hand to help when needed. Already booked to come back later this year!

Perfect for us, a fabulous place, charming yet wonderfully quirky, just as we like. Beautifully quiet and calm. Some great furnishings and extremely well presented with a lovely little open fire adding to the character and ambience. The space outside is great especially, if like us, you have a dog and we were super fortunate to get 19 degrees of warmth on the 22nd of Feb so spent most of the day outside! I would highly recommend this holiday let. We will definitely be back.

Titch house is a lovely little cottage in a great location! The cottage was very clean and warm on arrival. There were some much needed milk and biscuits left for a nice cup of tea after the drive down and we were lucky enough to have the hosts message to say we could enter the cottage 3 hours early than listed, so that was a nice extra surprise for us. The cottage is a short 10 minutes walk into the centre of sheringham, and whilst it is on a main road, it does have sound proofing over the windows, so you really don't notice the traffic. overall it's a nice little cottage in a great location and we would be very happy to stay here again.

We had an amazing stay, the house, cabin and gardens where amazing. We didnt want to leave. Hot tub was great. We are already thinking of our next trip.

Steve was a great host and the accommodation was ideal for our young children especially this time of the year. The accommodation had everything from coffee to cleaning products, and was very clean. We definitely recommend. Thank you!

We had a lovely stay in The Ardborough, perfect size for my wife, mum, 2 year old and I. Lovely cosy space with everything you need, the barn complex also has a big (and warm!) indoor pool which was great. Our hosts communicated everything we needed to know and left us completely to ourselves, which I loved. We didn’t need anything from them throughout our stay, mainly down to the fact that everything we could have needed including extensive visitor info was already in the cottage! Very very close to Cromer, very walkable and only a couple of mins in the car. Overall great stay, great place, sorry we forgot to sign the visitor book on the way out, but will definitely stay again when we are next in the area. Thank you!

I hadn’t been to this part of Norfolk before so was delighted to arrive and find this surprisingly spacious caravan with deck on one of the best spots in this relatively small holiday park. It’s not like the big commercial parks or some smaller ones we have been to where all the caravans are the same. I don’t think there are any two the same here and made me quite nostalgic! This park has a quiet, laid back, friendly atmosphere of its own. Pleasant walk to the beach but there’s free parking down there too if you have stacks of gear like us. Caravan very clean and comfy, everything you need and surprisingly good amount of storage to keep things tidy. Deck an absolute godsend with the dog (everyone here seems to have a dog)! Good value for quality accommodation in peak season and ideally located for visiting around Norfolk. Would definitely consider booking again - teenage son says he would and everyone knows how difficult they are to please! On that note, excellent 4G signal for mobile WiFi too.
