Uptown Home on Streetcar Line, Walk to Restaurants
I had a work meeting in this part of town and was so glad I stayed here. Airbnb is as advertised. Super clean and checkin very easy. Would stay again for sure. I didn’t have any issues w the streetcar noise. Would note for guests that two of the rooms are not attached to a bathroom but that’s nbd.

this airbnb is truly a hidden gem! the location is prime, with the trolly stop steps from the front door! the place was clean and the location is quiet! we had some issues with a sink, but Issac was quick to respond and quickly got it handled! the upstairs neighbors were nosy while walking around all hours of the night, but that was to be expected as a downstairs guests. I wouldn't recommend this place enough to anyone wanting to stay in new orleans for the proximity to everything around! we even talked about booking it for a family Thanksgiving soon! thank you for letting us stay!

Trendy Marigny Apt with Balcony on Frenchmen
Great location and beautiful apartment! Loved the floor to ceiling windows and balcony! Right on top of the action on Frenchmen Street and easy walk to many other areas; right off the quarter. As stated, it’s not quiet but that was expected. You’ll definitely hear the music, possibly a parade and locals late at night but we were prepared for that. Would definitely recommend.

Artistic 1B in lively mid city
Jas was a wonderful host! She was quick to respond to questions and provided great restaurant recommendations! The neighborhood was cute, peaceful, and felt safe. The location near the streetcar was convenient and made transportation around the city easy. The decor of the unit was very cool and interesting! I would recommend Jas and this Airbnb to anyone visiting New Orleans.

Gorgeous studio — historic oak-lined Esplanade Ave
I had the opportunity to stay at Sarah’s home to visit Nola for the first time with my best friend. We appreciated the beautiful neighborhood greenery and style of homes. Sarah and her husband were very hospitable during our stay, and their home is beautiful. We also felt very safe walking around enjoying the neighborhood. We are so happy we got to call this our home during our stay!

Private 1 bdrm apartment with kitchen in Kenner 💥
Just as pictured. Clean! And a responsive host. Zero complaints. Would stay again .

Historic: Esplanade Ave, City Park, Jazz Fest Apt
Alex’s home was a perfect place for our New Orleans weekend. The tree lined street is beautiful as well as all the gorgeous architectural homes. The home was clean, comfy bed & every thing we needed to make a quick breakfast every morning. Alex stopped to greet us when we were having coffee at the cute outdoor table & chairs. It was walkable to restaurants & groceries. We walked to Katie’s for dinner based on recommendations left by Alex. It was a short Lyft ride to Frenchman St for music as well as the French Quarter. We would definitely stay here again.

Irish Channel, Uptown Apartment: Private
We really enjoyed our stay at Brian's place. A nice place, not fussy, but had everything we needed. The area is wonderful. Very walkable. Near both the bus stop and streetcar. Lots of good restaurants. We felt safe walking in the area at night. I would highly recommend staying at Brian's place for your trip to NOLA.

Courtyard Views at Maison Mouledous
I have stayed at many airbnbs and this was one of my favorites. We stayed with our 3 kids under 5 and we felt right at home. Walking to the nearby coffee shops and the saint charles street car was super easy and very beautiful. The Azeleas were blooming and all the houses around are beautiful. We felt very safe and thought this was the best location from a time we came 2 years ago. We ate dinner at Superior seafood one night and it was delicious and a quick walk. One night Lori made me a delicious cocktail because she saw me with all 3 of the kids and could tell it had been a long day on the french quarter. She was so accommodating and sweet! Would love to stay here again next time and will tell my friends! Thanks again Lori! The kids love the stuff animals you passed along and kept saying how kind you were.

Home of original Po-Boy near Bourbon & Frenchmen C

UPTOWN BEAUTY ON MAGAZINE ST.
We had a wonderful stay and everything was as described. The location is perfect for being close to public transit and many great restaurants. There is some street noise throughout the night, but that is expected when staying right in the heart of everything. Would definitely recommend for anyone planning to stay in the area.

Location and Luxury! 3 bedroom 2 bath condo!
This place is in a great location- walking distance to restaurants, bars, live music, and parade routes. You won't need a car if you'll be mostly in the garden district and French Quarter. Easy walking and plenty of Uber/ Lyfts/ taxis. The beds were comfortable. Two of the rooms did not have windows so they were especially quiet and dark (if that's what you want after being out too late).

Gorgeous, Sleek Condo at The Moderne
Perfect setup for our a getaway with friends. Clean, spacious common areas, quiet, well equipped kitchen. Host was super responsive when needed. Supermarket right across the street was very convenient and excellent restaurants nearby. Streetcar stops nearby as well. No issues getting uber/left rides. All around a great home base while visiting the city.

Festive Luxury Condo Near the Quarter with Balcony
Easy stay with no worries. Few blocks from the river walk and then a quick walk down to the city.

Steps to Streetcars | Lower Garden District Condo
Gigi and David’s place was spotless. The decor was just as it is the photo’s, very on trend and well kept. The location was perfect, quiet but within easy reach of all the sightseeing areas. We had a car and parked it on the side street ( where GiGi suggested) just a few steps from the apartment, very convenient and no parking fees. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone visiting New Orleans. Thank you GiGi and David

Stylish 2BR Condo Near French Quarter, New Orleans
Great location! I think the reviews underestimate how walk-able the location is to restaurants, Bourbon Street, French Quarters. There are plenty of cute, little coffee shops and markets nearby, too.

Downtown Delight-Gorgeous Private Courtyard Condo
We had a great stay! The space was quiet and super walkable to the French Quarter along with the Central Business District. Patricia was also great and gave us an earlier check-in and later check-out!

2BR Condo Steps to French Quarter
Great place to stay, close enough to the French Quarter without the all night noise. Condo was exactly as advertised. Check in process was very easy and the host was quick to reply with answers to my question. Would recommend.

Your guide to New Orleans
Introduction
New Orleans offers a round-the-clock festive spirit 12 months a year. Live music, particularly jazz, rings through streets lined with buildings dating back to the early 1800s. That’s when the city’s trademark Creole architecture, a mix of influences from the French, Spanish, and Caribbean was developed, adding a distinctly New Orleans touch. While the lively French Quarter gets all the attention, also explore the Marigny and Bywater, which have a more artsy vibe, and Audubon — surrounding Audubon Park — which is known as the University District thanks to Tulane and Loyola Universities. If you’re looking to visit more of the New Orleans metro area, Metairie is just to the northwest, Chalmette about 10 miles east, and Slidell about 34 miles northeast.
The best time to stay in a vacation rental in New Orleans
February through May is prime time to stay in one of NoLA’s vacation rentals, when highs are in the mid-60s to mid-80s Fahrenheit and lows hover between the 50s to 70s — it’s also perfectly timed to celebrations such as Mardi Gras and the French Quarter Festival. December and January are also pleasant months — with the bonus of fewer crowds — when highs are in the 60s and lows typically don't fall below the mid-40s. Summer and fall can be more challenging, as stifling heat, mixed with humidity, reaches the 90s. June usually has the highest precipitation, and hurricane season lasts from June through November.
Top things to do in New Orleans
French Quarter
The legendary Bourbon Street is the most popular street in this historic neighborhood, and indulgence is a way of life here. But the district is also known for its majestic Jackson Square (where local artisans often display their work in an open-air market), jazz clubs, steamboat cruises, and fresh beignets with chicory coffee.
Garden District
A streetcar ride away from the French Quarter is a visual juxtaposition to the French Quarter — a chill suburban neighborhood dominated by grand mansions. Also stop at Lafayette Cemetery No. 1, which houses the tombs of early settlers from Ireland and Germany, or opt for one of the city’s cemetery tours to learn more about the history of this great city.
Mardi Gras World
Experience New Orleans’ most famous festival any time of year at this facility, where 80 percent of the Mardi Gras floats are built.
