Vacation rentals with a kayak in Nantahala Lake

Our stay at Sunrise lodge was peaceful and relaxing. This was the perfect after holiday down time for our family. The main area of the house is just the right size to be together without feeling as though we were on top of each other. There are also plenty of spaces to separate and have quiet time, like on the porch, at the dock, or in the downstairs living area. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of extra pillows and blankets for everyone. There are lots of things to explore near by, and everyone we met was friendly and helpful! We look forward to coming back again next year.

We had a great time! The home was as expected and very nice. We really enjoyed everything about it. The location, porch, hot tub and fire pit was all a plus.

Beautiful location with lake access right out the back door. Lovely kitchen and living area. We were there during a cold Thanksgiving weekend. The house was warm, no issues. Becky is very quick to reply and you will NOT be sorry that you reserved her place!

Beautiful cottage on lake. Very peaceful and close to town. The home was clean with all amenities you would need. We so enjoyed sitting on the dock taking in the lovely surroundings. We look forward to booking in the future!

I cannot tell you enough how much of a Dream this home is. 11/10!! I truly wish I had booked more days in time! I spent my anniversary here and it was everything I could have ever asked for. Getting there does require going through a gravel path that may be steep-ish to some smaller cars and you may struggle with gps/cellular connection getting closer to the location (as a 100% honest experience worth sharing to consider preparing ahead of time for). Your destination will be more than worth it once you manage! The hot tub, the fire pit, the rushing waters, the loft-style abode with high ceilings, in combo with home-cooked meals will make you feel like you have a slice of heaven on Earth. I’ll definitely be booking again, (hopefully for another anniversary) and you should too!! Thanks Matthew!

My family of four really enjoyed staying at Todd's. There was plenty of space inside and nature surrounding the house, and it was close enough to the things we wanted to explore in Highlands as well as Cashiers.

We would stay here again if we return to the area. It was very convenient for a visit to WCU. Plenty of space for the 4 of us and our pup, but still felt cozy for reading, watching tv or playing games. Quiet, clean, welcoming, all you could need was there.

We loved our stay here! We had plenty of space and the view was amazing! Our host was friendly and answered any questions we had. We enjoyed our time outside on the dock, the back porch and the outside sitting area. We were able to use the kayaks and go out on the water one morning and enjoy the beautiful views. The beds and pillows were SUPER comfortable, felt like I was at home!

This cozy, beautiful spot is a treasure! Kim was very attentive to details in creating a space that is welcoming and feels like home. The kitchen was well equipped, decor blends modern and mountain cottage. Plenty to entertain at the house or nearby. The description helped us know how to best plan our visit to the area and there were great tips and maps at the house too. Beautiful scenery and a great place to enjoy birds, fall foliage, hiking and much more. So thankful for a great getaway!

Motorcycle trailer friendly parking which is great considering the roads in the area. I had no problem getting my truck and 10ft enclosed trailer there and parked. Great house and neighborhood. We were allowed to check in early which was awesome. The house was stocked with lots of snacks and items that you may forget or need. The layout of the house is nice for 2 separate groups as you would each have your own end of the house and bathroom. My mom stayed at the house and enjoyed the lake view while the rest of us rode motorcycles.

Gorgeous all around. We all agreed it was one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed at. Views from the house and access to the water and the outdoor dining area were splendid.

It is a beautiful location, a cozy house on the side of the river, and the groceries provided were a plus.

Greg was super responsive and helpful! The cabin is warmly appointed, really beautiful and comfortable inside and out- even in the grey February drizzle, we were able to easily access and enjoy kayaking on the lake, the outdoor firepit, and the hot tub which was well maintained. Views off the deck made for an excellent spot for morning coffee. Didn't end up using the gas grill- but every feature was easy to access and clear instructions were provided along the way. Strongly recommend following Greg's directions to print a map/driving instructions once you get up in the mountains- this area has very limited (if any) cell service... however, the wifi at the cabin was fast and consistent, so there was no interruption in our ability to communicate during our stay. This spot had everything we needed for a thoroughly enjoyable and cozy weekend, would book again for an extended stay.

I had a great time and will be returning. Greg is a great host!

Dragonfly Cottage was a fantastic base camp to enjoy nature and the surrounding Joyce Kilmer Forest, Cherohala Skyway, and Lake Santeetlah. The home was absolutely spotless and had all the amenities we would need. Would not hesitate to book here again in the future!

Roger is an exceptional host, he went above and beyond to assist us when there was an issue with our online booking. Cabin was very clean and had great views. Definitely plan on visiting again!!

Our family of four really enjoyed the cabin! Very comfortable and well furnished. Built with modern materials but felt rustic and was warm and cozy. Great views over the lake and very quiet at night. Our family had fires in the fire pit most nights which was sooo relaxing! Easy to get to with towns, trails and waterfalls nearby.

Absolutely loved this home! The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable, had a great stock of linens and the view was amazing! We are already planning our next trip and know exactly where we will be staying!

Neat & Cozy Cabin ! Absolutely suitable for pets. Great fishing too !
