Monthly Rentals in Nant Ffrancon

We spent a great 10 days over the Christmas period staying at Marie’s home. Really appreciated the Christmas tree & other festive touches (& the Welsh cakes!). Having mobility issues I’d been a tad apprehensive about the stairs due to comments in previous posts. And yes, the stairs from ground floor down to the brilliant open-plan living area are a bit steep. For me, holding on to the ledge that runs down the side of the stairs & taking them slowly I managed fine. The other house stairs have bannisters. The house is on a narrow no-through road & is on the side of a hill. Parking is easier down on the waterfront where there is a back access to the house via a short path. Definitely quicker (& perhaps easier) than using the road. The nearby pub does great food (best to book ahead). From booking through to departure Marie was very informative & quick to respond. The house is well equipped & in a brilliant location. We loved the wood burner & views of the straits. I highly recommend it!

I wanted a place that was a real home from home and this was it... such a cute, simply decorated cottage in a little town. When I arrived the boiler had an error message on it. I messaged Huw and he promptly rang me back then video called to talk me through what to do... Turns out it was low on pressure. After sorting the issue, Huw sent me a message apologising for what had happened, and that if I needed anything else to not hesitate to ring. The cottage was very well situated for what i wanted in the 2 days i was there. It was 20mins from Snowdon , which I'd decided to climb for the 1st and Snowdonia National Park was also a few mins away. I would definitely stay again and will definitely recommend. Many thanks Huw

Everything we wanted for a romantic weekend hiking in Snowdonia. Stunning views from the cottage, very short drive to hike the Carneddau range, and then when we got home cold and wet there was homemade cake, a log burner, comfy sofa, drying room, lovely hot shower. We loved the mezzanine bed, beautiful woodwork and so cosy with the heat rising from the fire. Nice walks straight from the cottage too. We are already planning our next trip back to climb Yr Wyddfa... Thank you so much for having us! Martha and Jack x

Julie was incredibly patient even though I kept changing the arrival time! Her instructions on how to get there are where to park were easy to follow and when we did get there, she was very welcoming and friendly, showing us round and explaining how to get to town walking through the woods. The accommodation was thoughtfully decorated, warm and comfortable and had everything to hand. Julie even checked ahead to see what type of milk to put in the fridge, which was a nice touch :-) Thank you Julie, next time I'm planning a night out in Bethesda I will bear you in mind!
