Cottage vacation rentals in Moira Lake

We enjoyed a wonderful 3 night break at Carol Ann’s cottage. From my initial enquiry to questions during our stay, Carol Ann was extremely responsive and super helpful. She popped by to check in and brought us a bin bag when we didn’t have one, we enjoyed chatting with her. The cottage is lovely, excellent amenities and extremely comfortable with lovely views of the lake. We made use of the paddle boat, kayak and SUP. We enjoyed fishing off the dock and caught small sunfish and bass. Madoc town is just 5 minutes away. It was an ideal spot for us to enjoy some family time, we would definitely stay again! An incredible gem tucked away in the private woods. We enjoyed a hot tub soak overlooking a fantastic sunset on the frozen lake. Loved our time here and will return!

This cabin was great for a winter camping weekend. It was modern, clean, and very well equipped. It had everything a guest could want. The kitchen, bbq, blackstone and Traeger give you every possible cooking option. Multiple backup propane tanks onsite in case you run out. The wood stove made for a very comfortable stay, with lots of wood available and a splitter for kindling. Nothing negative at all about this place. It was great and we enjoyed it very much.

We had a great stay at Priya’s! The kitchen/home was well equipped, clean and organized. Instructions were clear and communication was great! We had a wonderful time. The dock area is not the best for swimming, but amazing for kayaks or other water sports. The dock was also so lovely to sit on and sunsets were gorgeous! Would definitely recommend and stay here again! :)

Ben was an excellent host and the cottage was beautiful with lots to do. Ben was very communicative with me throughout the weekend and we had no issues. I highly recommend this cottage!

We enjoyed our new year stay in RAP cottage, it was clean and spacious. Kids were happy in the games room. Host was responsive and helpful. Only one comment is about the wifi internet could be improved. We surely plan to visit again summertime. Thanks.

Beautiful cottage and great location! Wonderful view of the water from all the main areas. Cottage was a bit chilly, but quickly warmed up with fireplace and heaters going. Good amenities in the area, but the wooded lot provides a beautiful private feel. Extremely well stocked kitchen! I would strongly recommend staying here.

Greg’s place is a perfect cottage: homey enough to feel comfortable yet special enough to feel like a treat. The view out the huge window is a lovely mix of sloped pathway/stairs, trees, lake, island in lake and more lake in the distance. The main room has the most comfortable couch and the 500 movies include something for everyone. We especially loved the wood-fired sauna down by the lake. I hope to stay here again!

We had a very pleasant stay at Kevin’s cottage. He is very responsive to my questions. We stayed in winter months and the place was cozy. The kitchen is well stocked We had nice walk on the frozen lake. petroglyph is closed for winter months but Kawartha Nordic is a great place to visit in winter .

We are three couples (and two dogs) who rented the place for two nights for a winter getaway. The house was fantastic for our group. The hot tub and sauna provided some fun activities on site. The open concept bar/kitchen and dining and living areas were perfect for this kind of get together. The view was beautiful -- this lake house is in fact right on the lake. The location was fantastic -- a scenic 15 min drive to Wellington for adventures and dining out. Heather was communicative and great to deal with. We didn't have any snow, but the driveway was quite steep and I would suggest you consider 4WD and winter tires if you're planning on coming when it's snowy/icy. For beds, there's a king and a queen, and then the other rooms/bunkie have futons or bunk bed set ups... it worked well for our group, but just FYI.

We had a wonderful stay at Kieran and Tara's place! This ever so unique coachouse was exactly as described as well as being meticulously clean, and well-equipped in every way. Kieran and Tara were the most attentive and responsive hosts and pride of ownership is more than evident. They provided an extremely detailed list of local eateries, restaurants, shopping and attractions. We truly cannot think of any detail missed. We would definitely recommend this home away from home and are looking forward to visiting again. Thank you for sharing this precious property with us.

We had a wonderful stay and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it! The only small downside was the 10 AM check-out time, which felt a bit tight. Other than that, everything was perfect, and we hope to visit again soon!

I booked Ryan's cottage as a surprise for my parents after having an amazing time staying there last year and they loved it just as much as we did. The surroundings and property are even more breathtaking in person and you truly get complete peace and privacy as the cottage is completely tucked away. Everything is super clean and cozy and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need and more. I could go on and on but can definitely say Ryan's place is 1 of 1! If you're looking for the perfect winter cottage getaway, this is it!

Perfect stay! This idyllic spot with a lake access and view is away from a busy main road. The outdoor lawn area with hot tub, fire pit, table and chairs for eating, lounging chairs, hammock, dock and kayaks is nestled between trees on either side for privacy. The indoor space is open and clean with all the essentials, coffee machine, kettle etc utensils are easy to find. The layout of the house offers privacy, the main bedroom with a lakeview has its own bathroom, the other two bedrooms are in their own little 'compound ' a step down past the kitchen, the remaining bunk beds are in the basement with the pool table. Bikes available as well. Attention is paid to safety, there are life vests and bike helmets. So close to Picton and Sandbanks. A wonderful holiday...always sad to leave but will return!

Our stay was great! No issues whatsoever, host was accommodating and friendly, house had everything we needed, we stayed for work, so didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit with wood provided which I thought was very nice of the hosts! Water was not potable but the hosts leave you lots of drinking water, and water to make coffee!!

We spent New Year’s at Leah’s place, and it was absolutely amazing. Her guest house is so cozy, and she’s an incredible hostess. Not to mention, her place is dog-friendly, which made it even better! It was such a memorable way to ring in the new year.

Great place, everything was as described (even better!). Would come again…

Tammy was the sweetest, most helpful hist to my parents. I booked this place for their 1 year anniversary weekend and they were in love. She left them a cute note and got them a bottle of wine to celebrate. They loved the space so much and felt right at home and didn't want to leave. Tammy thank you SO much for your hospitality and taking such good care of my parents. They will absolutely be back!!

We had a lovely winter getaway at Julie & Roger's. The home is very homey with a nice kitchen, wood fireplace and comfortable living area. The bathroom and bedrooms were clean. The hosts are very responsive, friendly and helpful. I highly recommend!

Ken and Rachel’s property is an absolute gem. We needed a few days of quiet relaxation and I we couldn’t have picked a better place to unwind. Everything was so comfortable and well organized, not a thing that we were left wanting for. Rachel and Ken’s communication and instructions were very helpful, proactive and kind. When life gets back to busy mode, I will think back to the stunning views that we spent the weekend enjoying.

South Bay Cottage is truly a perfect and lovely lake getaway. Drive off the main road and into your own private cove outfitted with everything you need for a wonderful stay. Once inside, the view of Lake Stoney can be seen through the large windows from anywhere in the main room. The sunsets and starry skies were so peaceful - and even though locals told us it was unusual - we actual had an amazing view of the Northern Lights! We loved that this cottage included all the linens we needed and lots of areas to get cozy and read a book - including the extra-special gazebo. While the kitchen area is small - it is well equipped with everything we needed. Close to great hikes (Petroglyph Provincial Park, High Falls at Eels Creek, Warsaw Caves, and many others.) Also great to explore the area's great golf courses, Wanderlight Alpaca walks (a must do), Peterborough Pete's hockey, Peterborough theatre, and amazing restaurants in Lakefield (Loon, Cassia, and more). Melissa was a wonderful host!
