Cave vacation rentals in Matera

Unique experience, sleeping in a cave furnished with antique elements that take you back in time is a priceless experience. It was a unique stay, the place has a beautiful location and is very clean. Milena is very kind and always responds very quickly!

Splendid stay in beautiful Matera, the cave is spacious and very characteristic, equipped with all comforts. We easily found the property thanks to the directions of Maria, who was very helpful; the cave is located between the Sassi but the surroundings are very quiet. The environment is really welcoming, the corner with the hot tub is super relaxing, and in general very clean.

A wonderful Sassi experience. Staying in a cave equipped with modern facilities was a valuable experience and my kids loved it. Tiziana and her parents are approachable and gave us useful information on check-in and sight seeing spots. Highly recommended.

We loved our experience, the apartment which is very well located has been renovated with very good taste. We stayed there for 2 nights, but a 3rd would have allowed us to go hiking in the mountain right next door. We'll be back.

Linda's place was amazing - it has the most 'personality' of any Air B&B that I have stayed in. As soon as we sent our friends some photos - they were all saying "wow"... I really appreciated Linda giving me some handy hints on where to park our hire car and was glad when she helped me work out how to get her to her place. The mistake we made was relying on the maps link which was not accurate. I know understand that Maps are hard to use in places that are as steep as Matera. Matera was so quiet just before Christmas that we were concerned that nothing was open for dinner. This was our mistake - once 7:30/ 8pm hit, there were many amazing places to eat at. We have recommended Linda's place to some of our friends who now kow about Matera as it is not a usual place on the tourist map for a lot of Aussies doing their whirlwind trips to the other side of the world!

What can I say? Giovanni’s place was spectacular. Even before our check in, the hosts helped us with questions we had and accommodated us with our needs. When we got to the place, we were amazed how beautiful, luxurious, and spacious the place was. We definitely got the experience of living/staying in a cave. The surrounding area was also really good as it’s close to sites and restaurants. Everything we needed and more was there and I can’t emphasize how great our experience was with this place and hosts. Would definitely love to come back and book this place again and again.
