Cabin vacation rentals in Mandeville

Our family of 7 stayed here for our daughter’s wedding at Louisiana Castle. We had plenty of room for hair and make-up and spending time together before the wedding. The kitchen is great for cooking. I recommend to anyone physically fit enough to climb stairs.

Great spot if you want to be near New Orleans but not in the city.

We enjoyed the outside and the inside of this beautiful private home. A short walk to the beach area out back was nice and peaceful surrounded by beautiful trees. We saw a few ducks in the pond out front. My favorite features were the dreamy kitchen, porch swing, walk in shower with soaps and comfy bed.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this beautiful cabin! It was warm, homey, had a very comfortable bed and couch. We had plenty of beautiful sights to go see around the cabin within walking distance. Our pup really enjoyed getting to meet Beau and play with him. David was a wonderful host and made sure we were satisfied with our stay and asked if we needed anything at all. I appreciate a host that goes above and beyond with checking on their guests. We will absolutely stay here next time for our next event in this area!

We went to celebrate two of our birthdays and it was a great getaway! Bill answered all of our questions before we arrived, and sent us detailed instructions for how to get there. Home was an easy drive from Baton Rouge and New Orleans, and was easy to find. You can see their deer and blueberry fields out of the window- and the kids loved feeding the deer. Easy to navigate hiking trails, fishing pond, picturesque views, and boats made our outdoor adventures fun and great for pictures. The fireplace made it extra cozy, and bathrooms were clean and large. Spiral staircase is a bit tricky, so just be sure the people using the two bedrooms upstairs are ok with steep, windy stairs. Other than that it was a fantastic stay and would highly recommend!

Close to boat launch and Middendorfs restaurant, TV had ample selection, laundry, coffee, bottled water, sugar, creamer, detergent, clean shower and sink, mattress perfect firmness, was really private.

My dad and brother and I had an amazing stay. We spent most of our time at the kitchen table playing board games and talking about the future. The blankets were super comfortable and cozy; bed was a hair firm for my tastes and pillows a hair thin. The space heaters there don't seem up to the task of keeping the main cabin warm during colder months -- that was stated in the description but shouldn't be minimized if you visit in the colder months. There was some trouble with the electrical and breakers but I trust that will be addressed. Our three days of solitude were just what the doctor ordered though.

This place was beyond worth every cent! Loved the seclusion and peace of it all, being tucked away from the rest of the world. It was everything we wanted, woods, water, beauty, hot tub, rustic vibe. The perfect romantic getaway for a honeymoon. We will be back next chance we get!
