Cottage vacation rentals in L'Isle-aux-Allumettes

Our couples weekend at Stephanie's place was lovely. The space was exactly as advertised and we enjoyed the nearby nordic ski trail.

First of all, our hosts were super friendly, welcoming and easy to get along with. We were welcomed with a note and a treat, the electric fireplace was on and the place was spotless and super cozy. There's a little (super cute) instruction booklet to make every thing easy to use and figure out. Everything from the coffee machineS (yes, plural) to the spa were working great. The view from the dining room is spectacular. We were able to walk down to the river and do some cross country ski with our 3 kids, we used the skating rink on site and just enjoyed everything inside and outside. Close by are ski hills, supermarkets and nice walking trails. We'll definitely be going back to enjoy it in the summer as well!

Great host, great venue! Melissa was very responsive and gave some good suggestions on what to do during our stay. Only negative feedback is that the hot tub is a bit small (cannot fit more than 4 people) and the double bed downstairs was too firm for our liking.

We had a great stay at Tracy’s place. We went there right after the winter storm, roads were cleaned and access was clear. We had everything we needed. We loved having the entertainment and games in the cottage. The area was peaceful and less than hour from Gatineau National Park.

Constance Bay cottage was a perfect getaway! We stayed in the winter but could only imagine how nice it would be in the summer. The restaurant right across the road is so friendly and tasty food. The cottage had everything you need and beyond. The hosts were responsive and attentive to all our needs during our 2 week stay. It was nice to walk along the frozen shoreline and look out across the bay! Beds were very comfy and the whole place was clean. Would definitely recommend staying here summer or winter. Also, we were able to get Ubers to and from Kanata no problem.

Words cannot describe how impressed we were with Laughing Moose. The minute I walked in the front door I felt I could live here for ever. The incredible views, the spacious kitchen the stylish little pieces of decor make this place comfortable, relaxing and luxury. Janice pays attention to every little detail to ensure we had a fabulous time! From the selection of quality glasses, crockery and cooking utensils to the games and puzzles ( we completed a full jig saw puzzle between us) we had everything we could possibly need and much more. Even a thoughtful and delicious blueberry pie to welcome us !! We were visiting from Australia and planned this weekend with our two sons and families for a getaway together. It couldn’t have been more perfect and we made such fabulous memories. So much space for all 8 of us plus the 2 dogs! I can’t thank you enough for this special visit! We rented the cottage in the winter and it was exactly as described. The sauna was lovely. Comfortable and clean linens. Easy to find and Marcin was always available for any questions. Don’t think about it…just book!

Barry has a nice place with a peaceful and spacious dog park. We had a great time with our dogs—they loved playing in the dog park and enjoyed hiking on the nearby trail. Barry always responds quickly and has simple check-out rules.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Matt's place on Lake Clear. The cottage was very clean and had enough room for us to spread out. We loved spending time down by the bunk house over looking the water. The cottage was well appointed and had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation.

This is a beautiful spot, quite private and spacious! We loved the view from the big windows and porches! I hope we can return some time for another enjoyable vacation.

We recently stayed here for our March break and it was an amazing week. Beautiful lake, lots of walking trails and super private and away from the busy city. Accommodations were excellent. This was our first time staying here and using Airbnb. We had a great stay and would definitely come back again to explore the area more! Everything in the home is comfy and cozy!

This has got to be one of the best vacations I’ve had. Insung’s place was very peaceful and quiet, while still having a lot of things to do. The house was very clean, kitchen was well stocked, beds were comfortable. My partner and I rented a boat from a local outfitter but unfortunately didn’t catch any fish, I’m assuming it’s because of the season. There is also a small, private shallow “beach” by the dock which can be perfect for kids. The gazebo is lovely for the times you want to be outside but not with the bugs! Overall, Insung’s place was a dream! I will definitely be back with my family! Thank you, Insung!

We stayed here for the weekend, attending the Bonnechere Cup Snowmobile races in Eganville. Only 13 minutes from the track! Comfortable, cozy private accommodations- definitely recommend this AirBNB!

This cottage was the absolute perfect place to enjoy some down time as a family! The cottage was clean, well equipped and located on a beautiful, quiet beach. Everything we needed was provided and more! We enjoyed playing soccer on the large sandy beach, swimming, fishing, board games, campfires and watching movies in the evening. The kids and parents loved it!

This was a great location and cottage. There was nothing major to comment on. It would have been nice if there were trails within walking distance but there's lots to do at the cottage itself (canoes, kayaks, pool table, lots of lawn space). There was a good, comfortable amount of space for all of our guests to have their own room. Ping was very responsive when messaged with any questions.

I absolutely loved this place! I visited with my friends to spend the whole weekend together, and it was perfect. The view from the hot tub was breathtaking. The place itself was clean, beautiful, and had such a cozy, warm atmosphere. If I ever return to the area, I’d definitely choose this spot again. Arunraj was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything go smoothly. I created unforgettable memories here and can't recommend it enough to others so they can have the same experience!

We had the best weekend! The house is perfect. Fully equipped with everything you could need and decorated so lovely- I can’t think of anything I’d want different. The location is idyllic- peaceful, beautiful, yet very convenient to get to lovely local trails. Peter was incredibly friendly and quick to respond. I hope we get an opportunity to return as we would 100% recommend it!

My family of 11 (parents, grandparents, siblings, kids) had a lovely stay over Thanksgiving weekend. The cabins were so well stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking etc, and Janet was quick to respond to any concerns and questions we had during our stay. The weather was lovely, the cabins were so charming and comfortable, and we couldn't have asked for better weather. We would absolutely consider coming back again.

The house was just perfect for our family. We are a family of 4 and travelled to Ottawa to meet my sister in law and mother in law- but needed a space to be able to spend the weekend all together. Monica's place is quite large and has so many unique areas to hang out, that anyone wanting a quiet space could have it. In the summer it would have been even more amazing with all the beautiful decks on the house. The beds were all comfortable and bedrooms were tastefully decorated. The kitchen was large and generally had most supplies. It was a cold weekend with a lot of snow- Monica took care of regular snow cleaning and the house/every room was very comfortable and warm. Monica was very kind and responsive to questions. We would love to stay here again.
