Private suite vacation rentals in Leelanau County

All was great! She even had some food in the fridge. Nothing here to complain about regarding the hosts. The only challenging piece is the street sign is set back on a wooden post as it is a private drive rather than a street off Peninsula Drive.

Needed a place to stay at the last minute, and this space was perfect. Small kitchenette, but it had everything I needed. Great communication with host. Would love to stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at Kevin and Taylor's. They were very kind and accommodating. Everything was as described. My children loved the toys and play area, and Taylor even set out another game for them to play while we were there. As others have said, the bed is very comfortable. While there was a lock on the bedroom door with the large bed, there isn't one on the basement door to the overall space and two twin beds. This wasn't an issue but just for awareness for others. We appreciated the beach chairs and beach towels for us to use. We didn't spend much time there, as we were traveling about town, but wish we could have, as it was a nice space. We hope to stay there again if something brings us into town.

We very much enjoyed our stay. There was lots of snow but Jeffrey kept it well cleared and even cleaned off my truck! He has lots of local knowledge to share. When visiting TC again, definitely will rent from him.

We're very happy with this house and location. Easy drive to great hiking and wineries. Beautiful view of the bay. We would stay here again!

We had a great stay at Jo’s place. Jo was super responsive and the place was very intimate. The highlight is the cute outdoor patio with a fire pit and party lights. The space is perfect for a couple + a pet (my recommendation) who is looking to explore TC and retire for the night at this location as there is no Kitchen (only a microwave and mini fridge). Overall well maintained and clean and a central location in Traverse City.

Ellen was a wonderful host and the location was very peaceful and easy to locate. The space was stocked with anything you might want or need. You can tell the hosts are detail oriented and want their guests to feel welcome and comfortable. Ellen even prepared delicious and fresh fruits and breads to fuel for hikes. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mary and Dan were delightful hosts. We had a small issue with the gas fireplace not working the night we arrived, but Dan was over the next morning to fix it and brought us an anniversary gift of my favorite bottle of wine from Leelanau Cellers (which is conveniently located right across from the lodge). The lodge property is beautiful and peaceful. Mary and Dan’s recommendations for things to do and places to eat were top notch. We enjoyed the beautiful views at the restaurant across the way, which is next door to the winery. We happened to stumble across the lodge while looking for places to stay in this area and I am so glad we did because it was an absolutely perfect accommodation. I hope to return in the future, and have already recommended the lodge to friends and family. Thank you Mary and Dan for a wonderful weekend! We will never forget it.

Stunning setting with private beach on GTB. We enjoy getting to know home owners and their hospitality style. This is part of the fun! Thank you. I missed that there wasn’t a stove but that was on me. We were able to adjust our meals to using only a microwave and toaster. Hope to return!

Julie’s place was exactly what we were looking for! The exterior is very cute with a great parking spot right in front. The interior is very clean and has a cozy feel! At night, we sat on the porch and had a great view of the stars. Julie’s husband was super nice and recommended we walk down to the beach. The beach was a short walk through the cute town and had a great view of the lake. The next day we drove only 7 minutes to the Sleeping Bear Dunes and then cruised along M22. Great experience overall, would highly recommend!

Great location in Suttons Bay for our visit. Close proximity to TART bike trail and plenty of wineries, restaurants, and a nearby waterfront park. Can’t beat the views in the fall time. Great hosts who were friendly and accommodating. Space was very clean and comfortable. We would happily stay here again!

My family and I loved our stay with Dan and Rachel, and definitely will be back. We had a girls trip with my aunt who was visiting from the UK, and had the best time. The property is so calm and peaceful, the perfect summer getaway. Our room was clean and spacious, and had a great view of the lake. Dan and Rachel were so kind and accommodating in all of our interactions. It was wonderful to be greeted by Dunes, the family dog on the property, as we enjoyed our complimentary breakfast on the patio outside our room. Visiting the chickens and buying their fresh eggs was an unexpected bonus. Our stay exceeded our expectations, and we are so happy to have found such a gem of a vacation place!
