Charming little cabin, well appointed, comfortable accommodations during a winter stay, would recommend to anyone who enjoys exploring the outdoors and wants to visit the Feather River Canyon. Liz was very helpful and responsive.

Discovering Shari's enchanting cabin at Donner Lake was a delightful departure from our usual Northstar stays. Given how frequently this gem is booked, we felt incredibly fortunate to secure a reservation. This modern transitional cabin perfectly balances contemporary comfort with rustic charm. The centerpiece is a magnificent fireplace, perfect for warming up after a day on the slopes. The attention to detail is evident throughout - from the ambient twinkle lights creating a magical atmosphere to the impeccably maintained bathrooms and gourmet kitchen. The high-quality linens and spacious layout made our stay exceptionally comfortable. The convenience factor is outstanding - 3 minutes to I-80, with Mountain Coffee Shop and a gas station right around the corner. If you're lucky enough to find availability at this hidden treasure, don't hesitate to book. It's a rare find that exceeds expectations in every way. Our only regret is not discovering this perfect mountain retreat sooner.

We had a wonderful stay here. It’s easy to find and we liked how it is at the end of street. The property is more like a townhouse and we enjoyed the privacy of the backyard. The kids loved playing in the snow, especially with easy access from the large sliding door from the living room. There was plenty of room for a family and it great that we could bring our small dog. The house was clean, well stocked, and nicely updated. Rob the host is very communicative and responsive. We will definitely be back!

We have stayed 3 years in a row. we will come back again next year. very peaceful, and quiet...our dogs also love this place. love the sound of the river and the trains. Ember and Chris had everything we needed for a memorable stay.

Our group of 6 adults and 4 kids had a fantastic stay at **Donner Daze**! The house was spacious and well laid out, so it never felt crowded. The host was very communicative and flexible with check-in and check-out. **Pros:** The entryway doubles as a mudroom with stocked cold-weather gear. The kitchen is great for large meals, with a pantry full of essentials. The garage has an extra fridge, snow shovels, and sleds—our kids loved the hill on the west side. The deck and hot tub offer stunning views of Donner Lake and the mountains. Check-in/out procedures were simple and stress-free. **Things to Note:** More towels would have been helpful. The listing mentions bunk beds in two rooms, but they are full beds with trundles. The downstairs master has a queen bed and a futon sleeper. Overall, **Donner Daze** is a fantastic rental with thoughtful amenities and a breathtaking location. We'd love to stay again!

This was my second time staying at Awarehouse. What a beautifully appointed and serene getaway. And it's very affordable for what you get. Highly recommended if you're looking for a quiet, out-of-the-way getaway!
