The apartment was nice and very cozy for a couple. Thanks to the spacious living room area and well equipped kitchen, we could comfortably prepare and have meals. If you want to walk to the city center, it is a bit of a trek, but bus connections are very good and supermarkets are super close. Check-in & out went smoothly with the deposited key. We had a really nice stay despite slushy winter weather!

Tor's home was beautiful! I would stay again without question. so very convenient to the bus and downtown. the grocery store right across the street was so convenient. very close and commutable to the airport. Huge, amazing bathroom and lots of space for three. would recommend!

Great place to stay near Tromsø, you can take a single truck that takes you straight downtown. Very quiet and has a supermarket nearby :)

Our stay was perfect, just what we needed for our 4 night stay. Everything was as described - plenty of space for the two of us despite being previously reviewed as small. Everything was clean, tidy, comfortable. The property was an ideal location. It is conveniently located near several bus stops for the airport and city centre. We also got a taxi once and that had no problem accessing the property. A 2 minute walk away we were also right on the water, we were even lucky enough to see the Northern lights - a perfect dark area. A lovely stay with lovely hosts, who I’m sure cleared the snow for us every morning - thank you.

We had a lovely time at Dag's place. It was in a beautiful location with an amazing view of the city, but also very easy to travel in to Tromsø by bus. Dag was also very helpful as a host and the accommodation itself has everything we needed. I'd definitely recommend staying here!

Great responsive host and apartment is in a very practical location close to a bus stop you can use to get into town within 10 minutes and located nearby to the airport

The host is very attentive and meticulous, provides plenty of kitchen supplies, and is also prepared with a warm baby. The house is clean and bright, the environment is beautiful and quiet, and the transportation is convenient. I will choose to stay here next time.

We spent a week at Merethe's place and the apartment was just great. Totally cozy, nicely decorated, the bed super comfortable, everything you need was there and a beautiful view. The bus stop was very close so we could get to Tromso quickly. But we were also able to do a lot on foot, the area is just beautiful. Merethe was super friendly and very helpful. Many of her tips (excursions, restaurants, etc.) were great. We even saw the aurora lights and made some excursions that we remember very positively. Tromso is just great and the apartment highly recommended! We definitely want to come back. Thank you for everything!!

lovely place and kind hospitality

We truly enjoyed our stay at this place. It is a short drive (25 min) from the airport and located in a small village by the sea. It was clean, spacious; with a large kitchen to prepare meals. A big plus point was the fact that it is located in an area with less light pollution, so we even saw some Auroras from the balcony or on the hill behind the place. I could make some good photos even the activity was not too strong, but of course they look better when you go to a darker place. Going to supermarket, Tromsø or to small trips are very easy if you have a car. Kitchen and bathroom have everything you might need. Hosts are responsive and helpful, gave us some recommendations. Parking and house is also easy to find but I have to warn that the way to the entrance door is relatively steep and slippery in winter. They try to clean and sand it but still it could get difficult, be careful if you are traveling with lots of luggage or baby. Spikes or snow shoes are MUST to have.

Great host. Immediately responded to a small issue, and he immediately came and fixed it. Everything worked well. I would like to use the space again another time.

We just finished our stay in Tromsø. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our hosts and the home. We saw the view on the photos, but it still shocks you when you walk in. We spent many hours looking out the windows and enjoying the beautiful city. Eirik and Karina were extremely responsive and proactive with all communications. They checked in periodically to make sure we were okay. Their home is immaculate and lent itself well to our family, as described. We even saw the auroras from the balcony on a clear night. Thank you, we would come again in a heartbeat!

The views are Amazing! The house is easy to get to. We were able to see the Northern lights with a little drive farther north. Vidar was so kind in giving recommendations before we arrived. He was very prompt in his communications. There were no issues with the house. It was squeaky clean and so welcoming.

Siril was very friendly and helpful. The house was very cozy and because Christmas was also lovingly decorated. We felt very comfortable. Glad to come back.

John's place is just off the centre so everything was walkable. Kitchen has literally everything you'd need and there's a supermarket nearby (REMA 1000) which is cheaper than a corner shop Joker. When our evening return flight got cancelled due to heavy wind, John went above and beyond at very late hours to help us. We are extremely grateful for John's kindness and recommend him and his place 100%. We will definitely come back again. A bit about weather and travel logistics: We visited in early Feb and the pavement was very icy and slippy from snow and rain. We only brought snow boots for this trip but you'd need anti slip ice grip to attach to your shoes if you plan to walk around instead of renting a car. Worth noting that reindeer sledging may get cancelled last minute because of the weather too (which happened to us). If you would like to take a taxi with small children, you can't just grab one from the airport or street. You will have to call and book Tromso taxi at 03011.

Stayed a short weekend with 2 adults and 2 kids, Heidi is a great host and the view from the home of the city is lovely. Easy transport to and from the downtown/airport by taxi or bus.

A beautiful family home in Tromso with a spectacular view over the fjord. We saw the Northern Lights on our first night from the balcony! Buses to the city centre and the airport are a couple of minutes walk away and are really frequent. You don’t need a car. Would recommend a trip up the mountain in the cable car. Spectacular views over Tromso and amazing aurora that filled the sky. The house was warm, spotlessly clean and welcoming. The only draw back was having only one bathroom between 6 people but that is clear from the description.

We had a great time in Tromso, we love the house. The house is spacious and was comfortable for the 8 of us. There are 2 bathrooms but only one has a shower/bathtub, so it requires a bit of organization. The beds are very comfortable, we slept like babies. The is a great location, overlooking a fjord, and walking distance to a bus stop to go to Tromso (20 minutes bus ride). The supermarket is also walking distance, and open until 23:00 every day. The lighting system is a bit strange and needs practice to understand how it works 😉. Overall, the house is clean although for that price there is room for improvement.
