Great place in a lovely little town. Tourist season hadn't kicked off yet but there were some good food options which Spiros suggested. Unfortunately his family restaurant below wasn't open yet so we missed out there as it gets great reviews. Sami beach itself not that great (compared with other ones on Kefalonia) but next to Amtisamos which is stunning. Lovely flat, lovely sun terrace. well equipped for self catering. We were lucky with the weather in early April but needed the extra blankets at night. Wal round the Sami Acropolis lovely. Melissini lake and the caves just round the corner. Great value for money. Recommend a car for travelling round the island.

We cant say enough about our stay at Maria and Nausika’s. The house was a little oasis. The house was clean and so welcoming inside, the garden was beautiful, and every detail was so clearly thought out. Even the signage to find the house from the street was clear and helpful. Our hosts were communicative, helpful, and left notes on local recommendations. We would strongly recommend and would love to stay again if we are in Kefalonia!

We'll come back to Eva's any time! We were her guests for a total of 9 days, because here we not only had a place to stay, but were also lovingly cared for by her. From the filled fridge for the first few days or occasionally a piece of homemade cake to her helpful tips on excursion destinations and beaches. In the kitchen there was everything we needed and even some extra things like coffee, olive oil, spices, etc. The property offers a good starting point to explore the island, although on Kefalonia a vehicle is generally recommended. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby or in nearby Sami. The apartment is spotlessly clean and as described. Eva really thought of everything when furnishing. The view from the balcony is magnificent. A breakfast with a view over the sea, to Sami and Ithaca, so the day begins perfectly. We enjoyed it. Thank you Eva

We loved our stay at Sofia and Mary Lou’s! Such a cute, peaceful loft apartment that was the perfect size for our few days in Kefalonia. The loft was super clean and had everything we needed—it was even stocked with fresh fruit when we arrived which was such a thoughtful touch. The apartment is a short walk from Sami’s port so it’s a very convenient location. Sofia and Mary Lou were such kind and welcoming hosts—they sent us a guide of things to do and see in Kefalonia that we used literally every day and we had so many amazing meals and experiences thanks to Mary Lou and Sofia! Mary Lou was so sweet when we ran into her in town and even brought us some homemade cake. Highly recommend staying here—you’ll feel right at home!!
