Cottage vacation rentals in Kilmun

Flew in from Toronto, Canada to this beautiful home away from home. Barbara, Graeme (and Rosie) were extremely hospitable and welcoming hosts. The cottage has everything you need. Lovely, comfortable linens and beds, clean and modern bathrooms, fully stocked kitchen, and great and private hot tub. The location is very rural, but easy to find with google maps. The town of Kilburnie is close by with a grocery store, gas station and pharmacy among other amenities.

We had an amazing few days over new year! The house is exactly as described and comfortably fit 6 adults and our dog. The kitchen space was great for us all to be together and bring in the new year! The log burner was an amazing addition too, it helped on the cold mornings. There were some issues with flooding due to all the rain, which impacted one of the roads in but Tom and Lisa were quick to inform us of the issue and provided alternative guidance to get to the property. Couldn’t fault the place and would love to stay again, thank you for an amazing stay!

Home from home, absolutely wonderful stay! Marcin was so responsive, chief log replacer and great host! Hot tubs were so warm, clean and a additional touch. Peaceful, calm and relaxing. Ideal close location to Loch Lomond and Luss. Highly recommend you stay. We will be back for sure!

The house was great, had everything we needed and more! Absolutely beautiful location, very peaceful and lots of places to visit in the area.

An ideal location for a quiet stay. The cottage was an authentic location and was well kitted out. Bedroom and bathroom spotless and everything we needed was there. We loved the wood burning fires and the garden, great to relax on the verandah with the fire pit and drinks. Highly recommended. Not far from Inveraray, which has some great eateries and shops. Recommend a visit to Loch Fyne Oyster Bar for amazing seafood.

Rachel’s Farm ‘The Cottage’ was exactly as advertised. Perfect for the wife and I to have a last minute romantic weekend away. Booking was so easy, the property was very homely and welcoming and we immediately felt the worries of the world disappearing as we relaxed into the hot-tub listening to the wildlife. Also after a day of exploring the area to be able to slip into that awesome rolltop bath. I’m one of the larger built gentleman, and to have a bath that I can lay in and fit was sublime. You almost had to charge me for the cost of that bath as I was tempted to bring it home with me. 👍and then to climb into that bed. I haven’t slept that well for months..! Honestly, if you are considering staying here, I would 100% recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

Mitsubishi Heating System was interesting. The toilet seat needs to be adjusted for gentlemen having a pee. The bathroom door just clips the bath as it opens and needs a little shaving off the door. Just a few little things that I noticed being an Airbnb host myself. I am not being critical but trying to be helpful to mine host.

We had a great stay over the new year, really good location, close to good walks but also great to stay in and keep cosy!

Fabulous & comfortable house with the best enclosed garden for our dogs, loads of birds & wildlife. Saw many red squirrels & even a pine Martin! The surprise is the wee sitoutery at the bottom of the garden with the wood burning stove. There are great walks all around with stunning views. We’ve arranged to go back again, Peace perfect peace. This Airbnb is one of our favorites. The location is great. You can drive up to multiple Lochs, sights, as well as being in the heart of a glen and surrounded by Scottish beauty. There is a fabulous back garden with chairs, there are sheep, deer and wilderness all around and it is great for hiking. The amenities are all working, well managed and explained, there is lots to do and many ideas are given by the host as well. The rooms are cosy with magnificent views, kitchen well equipped. Billy was fast to respond, flexible ( we inquired about an extra hour due to a zoom call we needed to take and he responded immediately with options) and it is clear that this Airbnb is well cared for. We will recommend and return. Thank you.

We had a lovely week in Furnace. The cottage is very comfortable with stunning views across Loch Fyne and an extremely well-equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the pool table in the games room and the slate painting. We had some good walks in Crarae Woodland gardens and did the Leacainn Walk in Furnace. Caitlin was very helpful and communicative.

Have just spent a few days at Ashburn cottage & it was lovely. The cottage was very comfortable with everything you could need & had fabulous views of the loch & mountains. The weather was cold, crisp & sunny so was stunning, we did have a wee flurry of snow. Loved the log burner, so cosy!! Had a lovely meal at the Goil Inn & The Boat Shed cafe a definite for a visit! Will hope to be back again soon 👍

Amazing little cottage in a fantastic location perfect for a get away. Kevin's hospitality is fantastic and really enjoyed my stay.

We felt very much at home in this cosy, lovingly decorated cottage. Every practical need was taken care of, the heating system worked perfectly. We liked our meals at the big kitchen table and the quaint staircase leading up to the bedroom and bathroom. Personally, I found it hard to sleep because the mattress was worn out and very uncomfortable

Such a nice stay! Photos don’t do the cosy living room justice. Carolyn was an excellent host and very responsive to any queries we had during the stay. Will be back.

Blair cottage was everything we had hoped for. It was beautifully decorated and set in a stunning location. Everything in the house if of top quality and feels new. The beds were all really comfortable and it really was a great place to stay for my little family. One note for parents of young kids, there aren't any kid friendly cutlery or bowls and plates and no bed guards or anti slip bath mats. Otherwise all was great.

This is my second visit to Jane's place and couldn't recommend it enough. Home from home with everything you need. First class thanks.

The place is very nice and matches the description. Excellent parking for the vehicle. There are no stairs. It has a private back yard. The place is very clean. The owner (Fiona) is helpful and responds to communication quickly. The place makes you feel private and like you are at home. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Lovely stay in an outstanding cottage. Beautiful and stylish though cosy with a great view and a great kitchen which has everything you need. Very clean and spacious. We were unlucky with the weather but sitting next to the fireplace warmed us up nicely. We were welcomed very friendly and helpfull. We had a delicous dinner in Killberry and a beautifull hike near Ardpatrick. Would love to come back with friends!

We spent Christmas here and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The house is 10 minutes walk to the village pub, corner shop and a couple of cafes all on the shoreline downhill from the cottage. From the house we enjoyed walks up the hill through the managed forest along established paths to the dam and beyond. There are fun spots eg the poetry bench and fairy village along the way. We were at beautiful Ardlamont bay on the sunniest day of the week and it was a highlight of our week! We recommend the spa at Portavadie where we enjoyed the outdoor hot tub, the sauna and swimming pool. All overlooking the bay. Stunning setting! We were staying during mid winter and so the days were short. The weather was gloomy but we still managed to get out for local walks each day. The cottage was a delight; secluded, peaceful, nicely laid out and full of interesting quirkiness. The wood burner made it cosy and warm. Heather was a great host, welcoming, helpful and responsive.

What a beautiful place and a lovely comfortable cottage. We stayed a week at the Garden Cottage. A great place to make all kind of day trips in the area. The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The 2 bedrooms each had a bathroom, perfect. Carola and James were incredibly friendly and super hosts. Information on nearby points of interest available and also books & DVDs. Definitely a place to recommend and go back to for another visit.

Peaceful and private cottage with amazing views. We enjoyed watching the seals and walking by the loch. The cottage was stunning and well equipped.
