Monthly Rentals in Karavos

This is a beautiful traditional Cycladic house overlooking a spectacular bay. It’s a twenty minute walk to Chora and there are footpaths some of the way. Returning from the village at night felt a bit dangerous since there are no lights and you are walking nearly in the road. We’d recommend renting a car so you can enjoy a late dinner. Lisbet was great. Be sure to visit her family’s cafe Pountas in Chora with its lovely back garden.

We loved our stay. A very peaceful home in a beautiful setting. We rented a car and had easy access to all parts of the island. Easily walkable to Ano Meria, too. Would love to visit again.

Amazing place to stay in Folegandros

The view has to be seen to be believed as it changes depending on the weather and the time of day. There were sparrows nesting on our terrace and there were swallows flying nearby. The wildflowers were stunning and all against the backdrop of the mountains and the sparkling Aegean Sea. The accommodation was spotless with lovely touches. It smelled fresh and homely. The kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the homemade delicacies and raki neatly arranged on a tray to welcome us. The shower was the best one we have encountered so far during our two months on the islands and the bedroom was comfortable. Unfortunately Lydia was not there (we had read so much about her hospitality) but that was due to circumstances beyond her control. Despite that she was in regular contact with us and still very helpful and friendly from afar. If you are looking for an awesome, memorable experience Aegean Balcony is the place for you.
