This home is a wonderful retreat, and Malia is a magnificent host! She is so kind, thoughtful and accommodating, and the home itself is set up with everything you could need for a great stay. It’s an especially great space for traveling with kids — there are toys galore and a wonderful backyard for play. Hawaii Kai is a great escape from the bustle and density of Waikiki, and the east side of the island is packed full of the most beautiful beaches and hikes on Oahu. We stayed for six weeks and it still wasn’t long enough to enjoy this fantastic area. Can’t wait to return!

Krista’s place looked good in photos, but I had one concern. I’m not a fan of pull-out beds; they’re usually uncomfortable with thin mattresses. But I read a review saying the bed was comfortable so I gave it a try. And I’m glad I did. The bed was solid and comfortable. The room was clean, quiet and private. It had everything you would need. Fine for one person. Maybe a bit tight for two, unless you were newlyweds. All in all, a great place in a nice, convenient location, near beaches, restaurants, Costco, supermarket. Would stay again.

The apartment is both visually appealing and comfortably equipped. It is in a quiet, safe and beautiful location from where you can easily explore the island by car. We had a very nice time there.
