My partner and I had a wonderful and relaxing weekend stay at Bed & Bedford. The house truck is beautifully done with so much thought and care. The deck area is a lovely spot for eating breakfast and enjoying the views across the orchard garden and out to the sea. I was very impressed with how spacious the bathroom felt for such a tiny space! Excellent shower also. Hamish greeted us shortly after we arrived and was friendly and helpful. Our only challenge was the slightly awkward head clearance space for getting into the sleeping loft! Other than this minor issue, we had a fantastic stay here and would highly recommend it.

We had a great stay with Mary. On our late arrival, which was no problem, we were greeted by a large family of beautiful peacocks already waiting for their food. The house is as described, very large, very well and personally equipped, especially the kitchen, clean and above all heavenly quiet. Thanks to Mary's generous hospitality, we were finally able to sleep in and relax. Looking out from the dining table and beds over the beautiful, well-tended garden directly onto the turquoise sea, listening to the birds and marveling at the breathtaking starry sky at night... simply amazing. And it's only a 10-minute drive to Wharariki Beach/Farewell Spit, which is usually only a fantastic place for campers to stay, but they couldn't sleep so comfortably in wind force 50. You should refuel and buy food on the way north. The communication with Mary was also extremely nice and very interesting. We would have loved to stay longer and hope to return one day. The location was great and just across the road from the beach. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. Overall, a very cozy place and would definitely stay here again.
