If you want something with a peaceful atmosphere, a beautiful view for star gazing or watching an incredible sunrise and sunset, then this place is for you! It does get a bit warm in the guest house so prepare the place when you arrive to cool it off. There are fans on the ceiling and there are more fans stocked in the cupboards. We slept great and we would definitely stay here again when visiting Julian. It's a very special property and the sunrise alone is priceless and made for an experience that my Money was well spent! What a gem of a peaceful mountain cabin just outside Julian! Prior complaints about noise from the adjoining cabin are perplexing, because I could barely hear sounds — certainly did not disturb me or my dog. Love the rustic but updated amenities. Very good fridge and microwave, French Press if you want coffee, plentiful kitchen supplies. Great hot water and water pressure, and comfortable bed with multiple pillows to choose from. The setting is lovely, with views and pine trees for shade. Renee was super helpful and friendly. I will stay here again, no doubt.

Stunning and breathtaking view. Super close drive to Main st with all the shops and fun, but still felt extremely secluded. Decor was cute, and we played mini pool for hours! The only downside is that the king bed in my opinion was super soft and springy. We are two averaged weight adults and sunk into the middle and it felt kind of like sleeping in a pit. If they upgrade the mattress this would be 10/10 all time favorite stays!!

Stone Apple Farm was a haven for our family and provided the rest we didn’t realize we were so badly in need of. The property is huge and the daffodils were in bloom. Inside felt like a glorious step back in time; music and reading filled our days. It was spectacular. If you are a planner, heads up: there’s no tv and no dishwasher. We didn’t miss the tv, but if you plan to make a lot of your meals, bring paper goods or be ready to wash dishes! Also the acorn woodpeckers are busy at work and they start at first light. Bring ear plugs, white noise machine, or whatever unless you are a sound sleeper. These weren’t drawbacks for us- they contributed to the “step back to a simpler time” vibe and we loved every minute of it. Imagine seeing your teens out on a swing and not having their eyes glued to a screen. Thank you for preserving the O’Dells’ expansive library and sharing it with us, Mary.
