RomanticTropical Cottage-OceanView

ThomasRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Stunning cottage in a picturesque spot on the Kona coast. Everything was as described and more! The cottage has all the odds and ends that home would have (i.e. Tupperware to hold your freshly cut pineapple, a clothesline and clothespins to hang your wet beachwear, solar lights that light up all pathways at night) and makes vacation so much more enjoyable. My wife and I loved the fantastic snorkeling just minutes away each morning, reading in the mango hut, and soaking in the amazing views. Harry was a wonderful host and genuinely cares about his guests’ experience visiting the Big Island and his cottage. Can’t wait to visit again.

Garden Suite at Onomea

KirstenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Randall and Donna's place is a little piece of paradise. The property is amazing and the morning walks along the stunning Old Onomea Rd were a highlight (do visit the Shake Shack if you are out and about). The space was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We especially loved the covered lanai where we spent a great deal of our time taking in the beautiful surroundings. Eh'u and the free roaming chickens would come and visit us each day which was so nice. Randall provided many recommendations for things to do and places to eat during our stay and also reached out on our one rainy day to offer more suggestions which was appreciated. Would absolutely stay again!

Kealakekua Bay Bali Cottage -steps from Bay

MelissaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
This place is awesome! Karen and Ron are so kind and have built/designed this place with such passion! It’s darling! Note that it does have open spaces to the elements as noted. You may be in the company of a gecko or spider- but being in Hawaii, you encounter the same all over. We did not have issues with mosquitoes at all. The serenity you feel at this place is beyond anything! Steps from Manini and kayak rentals is convenient- and totally shouldn’t be missed. Ron and Karen are super friendly and attentive and gave us a bunch of things to do. Morning coffee on the porch or a sunrise walk to the beach- nothing better! This place is a gem!

Charming Kona Studio ❤ Views | Lanai

PaulaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Our hosts were on property, so they were available for questions about the area. Mark took the time to tell us about why they love the area so much including the sunset views. He showed us the best, safest place to go snorkeling and it’s very near the house. He also recommended a great bakery., Punalu’u Bakery. Yum! We highly recommend this place and hope to come back sometime.

The Flower Bed

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The Flower Bed exceeded my expectations! I slept like a baby. To say I slept in a greenhouse and had an outdoor kitchen, shower and toilet might give some the idea of this being a rugged place. It is anything but that! The attention to detail Laura and Adam and their family have put into this gem is astounding. I felt so comfortable and whimsical. Laura provided a lot of great suggestions and helpful hints and was very quick to communicate. Check out the story of how The Flower Bed bloomed. You can tell a lot of care and dedication was put into this place. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Special- Luxe Home with Hot Tub in Kailua Kona

StevenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The perfect Airbnb hands down. Secluded and private, easy to access, impeccably clean, equipped with all amenities, and ran by a very thoughtful and responsive host. A lot of effort went into the house design and furnishing of this place, even the dinnerware and appliances feel carefully selected. Our stay here was indeed a luxe experience in every aspect. My girlfriend and I both agree this is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed at. 10/10 experience and would stay here again without a doubt.

Kanaloa

EmilyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I stayed two nights here on a solo trip—it is fabulously remote… like you keep driving and hoping you got the directions right because it feels like heading to the edge of the world! The room is comfortable, simple, but with an enormous view of the sky. There’s a great hike around the property that I did mornings and evenings. There’s no fridge or coffee and the closest food is a far distance away, but as long as you’re mindful of that, it’s not a problem. Ruebon provided a little cooler to keep my beverages cool. It’s dark at night and wonderful to sit under the stars and I highly recommend jumping off South Point, which is just down the road. I had decent cell phone service. Also, it was very quiet which I appreciated after a few other places with much more insect and frog chirps. Just the wind off the ocean. Absolutely recommend.

Mauka Pines - private cabin near Kona & beaches

KiandraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our time at Spencer's place was absolutely incredible!! It was honestly sad to leave because it was that enjoyable. The surroundings are serene and peaceful, including fruit trees, adorable gecko's and birdsongs. We stayed at the end of March with perfect 75-80 degree weather so we were worried about being too hot at night - the top layer of windows in the bedroom are open-air screens so you get a cozy night of sleep with a cross-breeze (my husband who sweats a lot was totally comfortable and slept like an angel!) There were moments where some snags happened (I.e. shower water not working momentarily) and Spencer was very responsive and corrected the issue immediately! My husband and I also got to chat with him about the history of the land and he was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and hospitable ☺️ Also the bath tub in this house is absolute magic!!! ✨ truly can't say enough good things about this home, the land, and the owners!

Jungle Haven at ReKindle Farm

MakaelaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
Nicole and Nick were the best hosts we have ever had! This hidden gem tucked away in the Pãhoa jungle was everything and more - from the little touches Nicole put in the cabin, to walking around their beautiful farm, to their friendly cat Frappuccino and loving dog Koda, to the beautiful outdoor kitchen with all of the cooking essentials you would need, to the relaxing outdoor shower - it was all so wonderful! One of our favorite recommendation Nicole gave us was exploring the Mermaid Ponds. Pele’s Kitchen quickly became our favorite breakfast spot in town too! We would recommend Nicole and Nick’s jungle haven to anyone who is looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle. Absolute 5 stars (I would give it more if I could!). Thank you Nicole and Nick for letting us stay at your beautiful property and giving us wonderful recommendations.

Cozy enchanting cabin with ocean view

ThomasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Private, rustic bungalow on the Big Island’s remoter southern coast. The bungalow has a view of the ocean from the bedroom windows and porch. Also, great view of the stars at night. The friendly hosts are in an adjacent house and proactively provided instructions and local recommendations. They were very responsive to our requests. The house is a little off the Belt Road about midway between Kailua Kona and the Volcano National Park. It is about 30 minutes from the Black Sand Beach. The hosts provided snorkeling equipment, boogie boards, and beach towels at no extra charge.

Welcome House (Hale e Komo Mai) A corner of heaven

MarkRating, 5 stars1 day ago
For anyone looking for a break from an overload of urban life, it’s hard to think of a better location and shelter than this Tiny Home. Well, tent camping by the shore might qualify, but if not in the mood for sourcing waterproof matches or to wrestle with tent poles, do head for Loki’s AirBnB. You can thank me later :-) Easily one of the best places i’ve stayed in as regards light and ventilation. Also the kitchen and deck grill are great to take advantage of all the fresh produce available on Big Island. The hosts were extremely friendly and went out of the way to make it a great experience, from the welcome banana bread, to sharing local advice that would likely be buried in a guide books. Would recommend having a car, not just for shopping, but also for trips to the various look outs and beaches. The only downside is that it’s very long haul for me to travel here, regardless I hope to be back sooner rather than later.
