Aloha Nature Lovers

ChristopherRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Excellent off-grid farm/jungle spot to get away. They have Starlink, so it's not completely off-grid. They road to get there is challenging, but I was able to make it back and forth multiple times in a front wheel drive Chevy Equinox. If you're looking for a semi-rugged getaway with peace and quiet, this is it. There's a nice little trail that leads to a waterfall and swimming hole 5 minutes from the cabin. There is a refrigerator and gas burner for cooking. Electricity and hot water. Mosquito net bed. It rained 12 inches one day I was there and I stayed completely dry and comfortable. I will definitely make it a go-to place the next time I return.

Private Home with Ocean View

AlexRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This space was very cool with amazing views of the ocean. The space was very clean. We ran out of propane for the hot water and the host replied immediately and replaced the empty tanks without hesitation, very attentive and reachable. It was a pleasure staying here. I recommend this space to anyone visiting the big island!

RomanticTropical Cottage-OceanView

MashaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We LOVED our stay at Harry's place! One of my favorite Airbnb's ever. The property was stunning, and exceeded our expectations. The ocean views, outdoor shower, and all the amenities were everything we wanted for our Hawaii trip. It was really convenient to have coolers, beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. available. Expect to drive a bit for restaurants and shops, but it's worth it to be in a less touristy part of Kona. We hope to be back again :)!

Holualoa Ekahi -Country guest house,Taxes included

JeannetteRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
My husband and myself stayed at Ekahi January 2025 for 10 days. Check in was very easy and we found the property easily using google maps during daylight hours. The property was exactly as described and we were very happy with the spectacular view of the ocean from the lanai. We loved the privacy of a stand alone guesthouse. The guesthouse is surrounded by trees and felt very private and this added to the charm. The property is on a steep incline so walking on flat ground is not readily accessible. A rental car is a must. We did not have a 4X4 vehicle and we managed just fine. Rachelle responded quickly to any questions or concerns I had. We would recommend this property and hope to return some day.

What a beautiful spot! Jeff's place was easy to find, even when arriving after dark, and checkin was easy. The space is beautifully furnished and efficient. The surroundings are peaceful, with lots of trees and plants to admire. Close to amenities and, of course, the volcano! Jeff was super responsive and friendly in all communications.

Garden Suite at Onomea

BenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Thanks Randall! It was nice to meet you. We were very comfortable in the studio and the property and the surrounding area (old onomea rd and botanical gardens) is absolutely gorgeous. Everything was as advertised and the bathroom was extremely nice. The shower was very spacious which I appreciate as a tall guy. Hilo is a fun little city and the stretch of coast north of Hilo is lush and beautiful with a number of nice little beaches. Randall was responsive but gave us our privacy as well. And read the USGS history of volcanic activity on the island. It will give you an appreciation for the active landscape and how Hawaii came to be. Thanks again!

The Mango Tiny House

Melissa and Dan are an amazing host, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay in one of the best Airbnb's I’ve ever experienced. The location is perfect, the cottage is offering private area in the garden. The room is impeccably clean and spacious, and the kitchen and bathroom are well-organized. For someone like me, who loves cooking local food, this place is an absolute dream. I truly hope they maintain this high standard of quality because I can’t wait to come back soon!

One of the top Airbnb’s we have stayed at and we had a wonderful stay. Jessie was very responsive to our pre arrival questions and extremely helpful once we arrived. If you are going to see Kīlauea this most definitely should be your first pick as it’s only 25 mins from the volcano Vistors Center and 30 mins from Hilo. We will definitely be back.

Charming Kona Studio ❤ Views | Lanai

BernadetteRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We loved staying at Mark and Mina's Kona studio. they sent us good, clear instructions and it was easy to come and go. They live on a 4 mile walking path, with nice views of the ocean. They supplied us with beach chairs, sun umbrella, boogie boards, snorkelling etc. Mark gave us some good suggestions for local restaurants and beaches. The studio is very clean, has 2 different types of coffee makers and a sweet little lanai with gorgeous sunset views. And the bed was very comfortable! we highly recommend this place.

Clean spacious ohana studio unit with free parking

ToddRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Aki's place was perfect for my wife and I. It was spacious yet efficient. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs. This was important as we spent a couple long days at the volcano and most restaurants were closed by 8:00 or 8:30. It was very convenient to have a place to prepare some meals. The place was very clean, in excellent condition and well stocked with beach items. Aki was very friendly but also gave us our space to come and go as needed. I would definitely recommend this property!

Cozy enchanting cabin with ocean view

MiaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
If you are looking for a quaint place to stay in rural Hawaii, this is the place to be! Genevieve & Dan are not only wonderful hosts, but some of the friendliest people I have met. This cabin is perfect for solo travelers like myself and couples who enjoy the rugged lifestyle in a beautiful location. The stars at night are unreal. You are surrounded by lava rock, and of course, an ocean view. By staying here, I was able to split my time between Kailua-Kona and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. My favorite amenities included in this cabin were the numerous books and local guides, the stargazing porch, and the outdoor heated shower. The cats are a friendly bonus too. I would definitely stay here again! Mahalo for sharing your beautiful property, Genevieve & Dan!

Welcome House (Hale e Komo Mai) A corner of heaven

SarahRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Loki and Frank made us feel like family, opening their beautiful tiny home for us. The stay was marked by lush green plants around the lanai, which was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee. The shower room was the perfect spot to wash off the sunscreen and sand after a beach day, and the kitchen was wonderful so we could store some essentials. But the highlight of the stay was getting to know Loki and Frank personally. They are such special people. We hope to be back someday!

Romantic Treehouse in the Hawaiian Rainforest.

MeganRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Shannon's Treehouse was absolutely adorable and incredibly clean. I appreciated that there were so many pillows on the bed (10!) because I could choose what worked best for my comfort. Don't you hate it when there's just one tiny flimsy pillow? The neighborhood was so quiet and the vegetation outside was lovely and peaceful. I really enjoyed having a cup of tea downstairs while watching some chickens wander through the bushes. The location was a perfect homebase for traveling up to the mountain for hiking and again after dark to see lava glow. I will say that the bed was a bit soft for my taste, but that's a personal preference. Shannon was always quick to respond and gave some good recommendations for food in the area.

Secluded Kehena Beach Penthouse w/ Rooftop Deck

SeanRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I want to live here. I wish I could snap my fingers, instantly sell all my possessions, and find myself with the keys and deed to this place. And I only rented out the top half! The only problem with this listing is that I found myself unable to leave because it was so cozy and peaceful. I have never relaxed like I did at this retreat before in my life. I felt like my circadian rhythm completely reset, as it felt easy and natural to go to sleep and wake up with the sun. The rainwater showers, indoor and outdoor, were rejuvenating and my hair and skin felt amazing after just a couple days. I didn’t watch a moment of TV and hardly touched my phone or tablet. Instead I napped on the hammock, walked around the neighborhood (often stopping at the black sand beach), and stargazed (amazing viewing conditions each night) on the rooftop deck on the loungers. I am sure no one is no longer reading this review, as it is too long. Just book this place! Mahalo to the amazing hosts as well!
