Ski-in/Ski-out vacation rentals in Iiyama

A beautiful house and Horiko and team were so amazing! They picked us up from bus stop and dropped us off. They also offered grocery drives. The only thing to be aware of is the stairs are quite steep. If you have a lot of luggage.

This stay was such a great experience!The room was clean, cozy, and as expected.The host was also very kind, gave us a lot of helpful advice, and helped us in case of trouble.I really appreciate it!This stay made our trip more enjoyable and smooth.I highly recommend this place!

On the first day of my stay, my family was sick, but they responded quickly, which was very helpful. Also, the whole family was very happy with a lot of sharing, etc. I would love to use it again! Thank you very much.

It is my second time staying because it is convenient and comfortable with a drying room right in front of the ski resort.This year it snowed a lot, but the road to the building was also cleared of snow, so I was relieved. The host Lloyd was flexible with check-in, check-out, shopping at the supermarket, and more, which was helpful.The kids love it.

We had a fantastic stay at this house! We were a family with a toddler traveling with a friend, and it was perfect for us. We stayed there for four nights to enjoy the snow - and we got plenty! We drove from Tokyo to Minamiuonuma. The day before our arrival, the road from Tokyo was closed due to heavy snow, and Jun, the host, reached out to help us monitor the situation. It took us longer than expected to get there, but Jun still met us, showed us around, and gave us lots of useful advice. The house itself is wonderfully designed, with everything thoughtfully planned out. The rooms are cozy and spacious, and everything is extremely tidy. We cooked a lot, and the kitchen was very convenient and well-equipped. We also used the garage, and the snow prevention system in front of the house was perfect for the snowy conditions. Jun kindly let us use a sled, and our daughter had so much fun playing in the snow. We really enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. I hope to come back again!

Excellent location and the rooms were clean and cosy. The bed was very comfortable which we were happy with as we all slept very well. There is only one shower if you don’t want to use the Onsen however we never had an issue with this or had to wait. They also accommodated our dietary requirements for breakfast 😊

Our stay at the Red Gate Lodge in Kijimadaira was exceptional! The lodge is perfectly located at the edge of the ski piste, letting you step straight onto the slopes toward the ski lift. Even during New Year, the slopes were uncrowded, offering a peaceful yet exhilarating skiing experience. The lodge itself is cozy and full of charm, making it the perfect retreat after a day outdoors. What truly made our stay special was the host—his kindness, attentiveness, and genuine hospitality were outstanding. He helped us with ski equipment and passes, shared local tips, and cooked delicious meals when nearby restaurants were closed. His culinary skills and great conversations made our evenings truly enjoyable. We highly recommend the Red Gate Lodge for anyone seeking a memorable and relaxing getaway in Japan!

Our group of 6 adults loved our stay at Birch Cabin. Would certainly recommend having a car, despite proximity to skii slopes, as the walk looked arduous. In our case, with a car, we had a great time with no issues. The place was as great as it looked.

What a wonderful lodge to stay in to enjoy this stunning location. Our hosts couldn’t have looked after us better. Nothing was a problem. The food was delicious and the lodge was a warm and comfortable reprieve from the snow. We had an incredible powder snowboarding experience and some onsen time. Couldn’t recommend this lodge more!

We stayed with a large group of adults and kids, and the house was perfect! Heaps of room for the kids enough rooms to space everyone out, and had everything we needed. Easily walkable to Main Street with shops and shuttle bus stops. Phil was excellent, super helpful and made plenty of recommendations for us, can’t thank him enough for being such a great host.

Beautiful stay. Yusan and his partner are excellent hosts. Room was comfy. Had the shared onsen to myself every afternoon. 10 minute walk to Kanko gondola. 20 mins walk to Akakura restaurants. It’s a tight walk between walls of snow and road. Can be dodgy. Yusan was very helpful with lifts in the van. To the lifts in the morning and dinner in the evenings. Felt very looked after 😊

This house is absolutely amazing!! It's exactly like the pictures, truly a dream home. The decor inside is exquisite, with each item carefully chosen by the owner from around the world. Every detail is thoughtful and unique. I highly recommend this place, 5 stars without a doubt!

Great accomodation! Mark picked us up from the bus stop and took us to the Airbnb (and dropped us back at the end of our stay). Great location for skiing all of hakuba resorts and extremely easy to get around in the Airbnb car. Great space and sleeping arrangements. Would highly recommend!

The place is very central and walkable from all restaurants and shops it work well if you have no car however I would rather stay outside of the city if you have a car and enjoy the true Japanese experience
