Beachfront vacation rentals in Helen's Bay

We had a relaxing break away and would definitely recommend. No noise can be heard from the house, and when you open the doors or windows, all you hear is the ocean. The beach is on your doorstep. You can walk along the coastline to Ballywalter when the tide is out- approx 2.5km. The house has a relaxing feel, and beautifully furnished with all amenities needed; very cosy and comfortable.

A lovely property in a great location, close to Ardglass. Everything very clean and spacious. Very comfy bed with nice crisp linen. Can't fault anything inside and out. Really enjoyed getting away from it all here and highly recommend for a coastal holiday.

Peaceful with great views. The hosts had provided many helpful things to help make our stay as comfortable as possible, from a bag of logs, plenty of kitchen equipment, toiletries, to lots of information on amenities. The beds were clean and comfy. A great base to explore from, with cracking views across the Lough. The enclosed garden was great for our dog.

We have just returned from a wonderful short break at the lighthouse keepers cottage. The cottage is the most stunning place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. It is right on the shoreline and has lovely beach walks in both directions with a great mix of rocky shoreline and small sandy inlets. The constantly changing views out to sea are a joy with the Isle of Man particularly clear on the days we were there. On arrival we were met by the host with a sumptuous home baked sourdough bread which we enjoyed over the next couple of days. From that point onwards we felt at home in a house that felt cosy even on a cold January with very good central heating and a wood burning stove. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.

This was our second time staying at the cottage. It's setting is perfect just across a small road to the beach. Beautiful views when it is sunny and a cosy atmosphere in the cottage when the wind blows outside. The cottage is comfortable, warm (we loved the log fire), spotlessly clean and has a range of appliances to help make the stay practical. Judith (the host) also provides DVDs, books and games for entertainment. Our dog also loves his visits to Coney Island enjoying the beach and other walks close by We will definitely be back

Lovely relaxing apartment with friendly neighbours. The view from the lounge was stunning and so relaxing, even on days when the weather wasn't so good. If you want a place to chill, this is the place. Walking distance of Donaghadee (about 20 mins) and 10 min drive to Bangor.

This house and location are amazing. The whole experience wonderful (1st time with Airbnb) . House was spotless and Shayne a very responsive host answering any questions we had. Would totally recommend if you’re looking for some peace and quiet with great views but also with a great restaurant/bar/coffee shop within walking distance.

What can we say, a beautiful gift from our children for a break. Well the place far exceeded our expectations. This was just what we needed, pictures do not do it justice. My husband and I spent 2 nights it was hard to leave. Spotlessly clean everything you need to stay in and cook and relax, or eat out in the little village. Alex and her husband gave us recommendations of places to eat also, always responded to messages. I enjoyed my swims and meeting Alex on the beach, you were fantastic hosts. we really can't wait to return. xxx

Kate’s house was wonderful. Very clean, well equipped and very tastefully decorated. Right in the heart of the village and beside the ferry. Very peaceful with gorgeous views I’ll be back!!

The stay at Trevor's house was very pleasant. The house lived up to the description in every way and Trevor was a very nice host.

Fantastic location to enjoy a really beautiful area. Horse Island View is very cosy, very relaxing and very well equipped. Bernie was a super host and had gone to a lot of trouble to add some lovely, welcoming touches and treats. Hope to return in the Summer, to enjoy the terrace.

We had a great stay at The Loft. It was quiet and peaceful. It was about a 15 minute walk to the shops and pubs which was great. The Loft was clean and tidy and very cosy as we stayed in November. We highly recommend and would stay again.

Myrtles place is lovely. Myrtle met us there and talked to us about the area and the local places. Myrtle was friendly and personable. We felt respected and that the space was ours to enjoy. Would recommend.
