Sandford is an excellent host and communicates well. When he didn't have what we had requested he was ready with a suitable substitute and allowed us the choice on whether to switch our reservation criteria. I like being offered solutions, not just "no." And, the accommodation was very nice.

Really appreciated the nice touches such as breakfast in the fridge each morning, heated towel rack, hot tub and comfortable bed! The property was beautiful and peaceful, and such a great location so near the National Park!

Really liked it there. Spacious, clean, and a very responsive host. Plus, there was a sweet orange kitty hanging around to love on. (Hope the owner adopts her. I wanted to smuggle her back in my carry on.)

We spend a lot of time in Hawaii and always stay at a resort. This time we opted to try a new vacation spot and we are glad we did! This was a beautiful place. The grounds are breathtaking and the hospitality was wonderful!! We highly recommend that you try your stay here.

I was able to check in at midnight for one night stay after volcano eruption viewing. Host gave clear instructions about late check in. Room was nice with comfortable beds. We didn't get enough time to enjoy the jacuzzi but had a nice morning walk in the area.

We had a great stay at Garden Manor. A lovely, cozy place to stay. We were only there for one night, but would have loved to stay longer if we hadn't already had to move on. Very responsive and friendly host.

Honomū Inn is a hidden gem. The super clean and newly renovated Inn is in a tiny historic town just north of Hilo along the Hamakua Heritage Coast. The town has a cute coffee shop, bakery, taco restaurant and Zipline excursion and more. Honomū is also the town along the way to Akaka Falls state park and a cute cow sanctuary. Our cozy room had a private lanai overlooking lush greenery. The common kitchen was clean and fully stocked with breakfast supplies. Can't wait to come back!

The Honomu Inn near Hilo was a great, clean, comfortable place to stay. Beautiful original details with tasteful modern touches. Also fast responses from the owner. If you plan on zip-lining at Hawaii Zipline Tours, it is next door which is a plus. No car or people noise, just coqui frogs at night and relaxation. There are ear plugs provided if you need them, but for me it was the perfect white noise to sleep to. I can’t wait to return to Honomu, near Hilo. Great location for many things like chasing waterfalls and an hour from the volcanos as well.

This Airbnb was great, clean, modern, a wonderful shared kitchen on the 1st floor stocked with breakfast and water etc. It’s located in the cutest little town near Akaka Falls. It’s about 10-15 miles north of Hilo. The town is only about 1 block long and shops close at 5pm. Go to The Hive for breakfast!

Luka's review: We had a wonderful, relaxing time at Aaron’s cottage. It was peaceful, clean, charming, and felt like a place we could spend an uncomplicated honeymoon. The kitchen had everything we needed, the area was nice and had easy access to cool secret beaches. The manager was often around and happy to help.

We felt at ease in our cottage and appreciated the generous kitchen space. Cooking our own meals was a high priority and it was lovely to start each day with breakfast on the lanai. We walked to the beach every morning and were thrilled to have safe sand and gentle pools for my kiddo to explore. The co-host was friendly and easy to reach when we had questions.
