Beachfront vacation rentals in Hawaii County

We had a great stay at Nico and Sarah's. Great location and place was as advertised. They even had beach supplies for us to enjoy. Loved watching and listening the waves roll in. We totally recommend staying at Nico and Sarah's. Close to all the action of Kona but not too close which was perfect for us. Hoping to stay here again one day!

Spectacular setting!

Janice was so helpful and fully detail on the house. The place is perfect and beautiful. To wake up to the sunrise and the crashing of the waves you will get a peaceful sleep and wake up full energized. This is one place you want to stay and worth every $$$$!!!!

Jason’s condo was as advertised. Well equipped, clean and spacious with a great view! He was very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here.

We spent 12 wonderful days in this beautiful condo on the water. The most relaxing peaceful aspect of the condo was the sound of the ocean waves at night as you fell asleep. The condo was sparkling clean, and well equipped. Highly recommend and would definitely entertain going back in the future. Mahalo

The setting of this house is spectacular, right in Kealakekua Bay. You can see the Captain Cook monument in the distance (we kayaked there from the property). The host provides literally everything that you could possibly need to explore the bay: kayaks, paddle boards, snorkel equipment, etc., and you can do all of this right from their own (rocky) shoreline. The house was well appointed with everything that we needed for the stay. We were glad that we had the cottage so we were separated from the other rentals. It felt private. If you stay in the summer it does get HOT in the house during the day, even with the use of their provided fans, but it cools off enough at night to get a restful sleep. Also, there is a rooster nearby, which didn't bother us East Coast early risers. It's a long drive from the main route down to this property. We recommend stopping at the local honey farm that you pass on the drive down. You'll see their products sold all over the Island.

This was an awesome place! We loved our stay here and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip around the island. We were planning on getting out and doing more in Hilo while here, but decided to skip it and spend more time at the house and the beach.

We stayed 4 days here with extended family in the smaller home on the same property and it was great. The kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of space for our family of 5 (larger group was 10 total) to spread out. The best part was the beach across the road with good snorkeling (stronger currents so be careful) and lagoon with turtles. Plenty of outdoor gear to borrow- SUP, kayaks, small boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel/fins. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 6 was a bit cozy but quite comfortable in this 2 bedroom unit with views of snorkeling and surfing beaches. We enjoyed the small but uncrowded pool area and the location directly across the busy main drag from Kahalu'u snorkeling beach. High surf limited our use of the beaches directly adjacent, but you can't beat the location for getting in the water when conditions are right. There was some traffic and lifeguard noise during the day, but nights were quiet and peaceful. The ice maker acted up during our visit, and James and the local team were extremely responsive to the situation (which was in no way their fault). We really felt the hosts cared about us as guests. The guest expectations for this unit are a bit more than the average - we were expected to do more clean-up and laundry than past rentals - but we found these small tasks well worth accommodating our group of 6 and especially the extra effort made to allow us an early check-in upon arrival in Kona.

Terry has done it again! This was our second year staying at Terry’s well equipped and beautiful condo. Again we enjoyed daily whale watching right on the beach as well as sea turtles feeding on the shoreline. You will be in need of nothing at Terry’s hideaway as he has truly thought of every guests’ needs. In fact Terry reached out to us prior to our arrival offering to pick up anything we needed as we had a late flight. Our flight going home didn’t leave until late at night and Terry allowed us to check out late as well! Mahalo again Terry. Stay blessed 🌺😌

This was an amazing stay! The words and pictures really don't do it justice. The property is essentially a resort, worth spending time just enjoying the view. The area to the rear has a long walking trail along the coast. Even with the house lights, we were able to see so many stars! The power had gone out all over the island before we were supposed to check in, but Brad reached out to let us know and kept us up to date. He had prepped us with supplied to help us stay comfortable until the power came back up. The location was quiet and we enjoyed every second. We were talking to each other, saying that we should have built in more time to just spend more time on the property. Despite Brad and his wife also living on the property, we always had privacy and really felt like we were on a private resort! We would love to stay here again!

This is an excellent home. The hosts are very responsive and supply an accurate description of their house. The place worked perfectly for our 3 generation group. The geezers (us) stayed in the separate downstairs apartment. Not lux but decent. The 2 sons/spouses and 2 grandkids (2 &3.5) had the run of the more lux upstairs. Large bedrooms with good bathrooms. We prepared meals upstairs (no stove down) and enjoyed them outside on the large table under the roof on the porch. Good breeze there. Pretty warm inside for meals but the A/C in the BR's is great. The pool is perfect. Lots of floaties, toys, etc. Good loungers and a picnic table under cover next to the pool. The beach accessory selection is great. Coolers, chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, snorkel stuff. Good location near a well equipped shopping center with groceries, Longs drugs, restaurants and a small Saturday farmers market. Very quiet neighborhood. Easy access. I highly recommend this rental.

Beautiful home and wonderful host. We had everything we needed or could ask for. Mari was a perfect host answering any questions, providing many local recommendations and even met us at checkin to show us her home. The view was magnificent, opening the doors in the morning and sipping on coffee on the deck watching the sun rise was my daily ritual. It was a nice surprise to have chairs and snorkeling equipment available to us. Grocery and Walmart minutes away for quick pickup items. The must see sights were just 10-20 minutes away. We visited the caves, snorkeling in the bay, national park and the gardens.

I stayed here with my family and a common phrase we used was “just look around, this place has everything!” It literally had everything we needed and more. The surrounding area was totally beautiful. Amazing plants and green geckos. No problems with insects or pests in the house. Great birds. The house is walkable to the beach, but it’s not a sand beach for laying out. The water was pretty choppy so I wouldn’t really swim there either. It’s still beautiful and worth visiting. The Outrigger hotel is also within walking distance where there is a craft show for local artisans on Wednesdays and Fridays. The hosts were so wonderful. Very specific directions and instructions for everything. When I asked our host about one small amenity, they said they didn’t have it in the house and proceeded to order it for us for delivery that same day. Amazing! If you like cable TV, this is not the place for you. Also, it’s maybe 15 minutes drive from downtown Kona & beaches for swimming. Great for us!

Wonderful property for long walks in the green countryside and listening to the ocean waves from the patio. Very relaxing.

We could not have wished for a more perfect home for our top short stay. We wanted to stay there months and months longer if possible. The house was very well stocked and the owner has thought of everything to make your stay amazing. The view of the most perfect cove is just a gem to wake up to everyday. We could snorkel and surf right in front of the home. There’s an awesome poke place within walking distance. This home is perfect.

Better than the photos. So comfy, beautiful and peaceful. Was great for my family including a 1 year old. The beach nearby is phenomenal (bit of steep walk down) for those with mobility concerns). Already planning to rebook!

We had an amazing stay! If you’re looking for a serene, oceanfront location to explore the southern part of the island, this is the place for you! We snorkeled right outback every morning and saw tons of fish, as well as sea turtles.

We had a great time at Mike and Bo’s. They had everything we needed to enjoy a day at the beach and also if we wanted to stay in a night. Forgotten sunscreen? They had some. Towels for the beach, snorkel gear, and even a Christmas goodie bag for all of us. Felt peaceful and secure. We definitely look forward to staying here again when we come back to Hawaii.

Truly spacious and simply put… Awesome! We saw whales while on the balcony, enjoyed the pools and conveniently located. Denise was proactive with just the right amount of information! Don’t wait! Book it while you can.

What a hidden treasure! such an amazing opportunity to wake up with the sun rise over the crashing waves. Definitely note though that there is not AC, which could be important if traveling during a hot season! Although, the ocean breeze is fabulous!

This condo was in a great location almost beach front but an easy less than a minute walk to the beach. The unit was clean and easy to get into. As most condo’s on the big island they are not very big but we appreciated having the lanai to sit out on to have coffee in the mornings and dinners in the evenings. Shine was an excellent host good communication before we arrived and while we were There just to make sure everything g was going well. We would stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It is quite a long drive to get here from Hilo but it’s right next to the hot springs and a black sand beach. It was so quiet and peaceful.
