Great stay! The apartment was clean and the hosts were always very responsive and flexible. It was about a 10-15 drive to get into Bar Harbor so not too bad. WiFi was alright but did the job - wouldn’t be strong enough for a work from home situation, but strong enough for a vacation where we didn’t need it too often.

The house and views are excellent, you can sit on the back deck or outside area and just gaze out at the view, see Bald Eagles fly over every day, even saw one grab a fish from the water. Very clean and well appointed with the essentials like detergents for laundry and dishwasher, garbage bags, slat, pepper and other cooking basics, foil and cling wrap, beach chairs. Overall I can say it is a very nice house, very clean. The location is 20 - 25 minutes from Bar Harbor and maybe 20 min to Acadia. We didn't mind this at all. We ate lobster at 5 different places, if you want the absolute best Lobster rolls go to the Travilin Lobster, there is one in Trenton and one in Bar Harbor, by far the best lobster roll. Oh, and probably as important as the house being very clean, the beds were very comfortable.

Can’t say enough about Craig’s beautiful lakeside cottage. If you like remote, peaceful and being close to nature this is for you. The house and contents seemed brand new and they had thought of everything we could want, right down to pancake mix, maple syrup and Maine blueberries for our breakfasts. An easy drive to Acadia. Craig was communicative, friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic stay and hope we’ll be back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The detailed driving directions and instructions made check in and check out a breeze. The accommodations were clean, nicely decorated, and very comfortable. We appreciated the many thoughtful extra touches, such as providing extra toiletries, blankets, games, brochures and maps of the surrounding area, and the softest bath towels! The property was a cozy and peaceful “home base” to return to after spending our days exploring Acadia National Park with our two young children. The gorgeous backyard offers an incredible view of the pond, and we were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights during our stay! I only wish we’d had more time here!

The Loft was perfect for our family’s needs! It was larger than it looked in the photos and everything was super clean! The view was great off the balcony and it was a perfect location to explore all areas of Acadia National Park (with a short drive) and downtown Ellsworth was cute with fun shops and everything you could need nearby. I would absolutely recommend and would stay here again :)

Gorgeous Retro - The Lancaster Studio - NO FEES!

Cute, compact and functional unit. I loved the retro decor. Check in was super easy and communication with the host was always timely. Good location in quiet neighborhood. One note is that there is no fan/exhaust in the kitchen so the smoke detector went off when we were frying steak and fish so we had to open the windows despite the very chilly air outside. Also, the bed isn’t very big (long); my 6’3” husband had to sleep at a diagonal or slightly curled up.

Overall the unit was amazing and there were lots of places nearby! The unit had all the amenities that were listed and the host was nice and helpful! The only issues we had were that dishes were mostly dirty (not the hosts fault, he makes it aware when you leave that guests are responsible for them and the guest before us left most of the dishes dirty or greasy). Also a heads up the unit is very creaky (which was not a problem just wanna give a heads up!) Lots of space inside and comfy beds.

The location is perfect for Bar Harbor. Walkable to everything like restaurants, shopping, the Sand Bar and the waterfront. Dani was quick to respond and the description was just what we expected.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable and Ann was super easy to communicate with before and during our stay. As others have noted, while the distance to the Bar Harbor business district is technically walkable, the roads have no shoulders, sidewalks, or street lights so walking after dark would not be a good idea. That said, we had no problem with finding parking (in mid/late October).

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this Airbnb! It is in a nice spot and is very quiet. The kitchen is very well stocked for cooking and baking (perfect for a longer stay). The driveway was always plowed quickly after snowfall which was very helpful. It’s a pretty drive to Acadia and close to Ellsworth. This is a great place to stay!

The location of the condo is perfect if you are looking to stay in Maine to explore Acadia. The condo itself is minimalist but completely adequate. The indoor swimming pool and amenities at the clubhouse are perfect for anyone with kids and/or rainy days! The views were beautiful off the deck. I would definitely stay again!

We enjoyed our stay at Derek's place. We felt at home. The place looked new and well taken care of. Alot of space for a family. It has a quiet surrounding and not too far from Acadia National Park. It is also close to restaurants and shops. Very convenient. I would stay here again and recommend it to someone else. Thanks Derek.
