Cottage vacation rentals in Hanalei

It is a beautiful location. I was very happy to just sit on the lanai and enjoy the amazing scenery. It is extremely peaceful and quiet. There's access to both a beach and a large pool. They even have a small sand section of the pool that was ideal for my granddaughters ages 1 and 2.

First time visiting Kauai and it was a great experience. Really appreciative of all the proactive communications before the stay.. answered all of my questions before I had them. We were also excited by all of the beach gear that made a visit to the sand a simple and fun affair. Well done!

My brother and I spent 9 nights in Bruce's cottage and can't imagine staying anywhere else WHEN we come back to Kauai. The home felt very private, even though on the farm property. I've seen other reviews mentioning ants, but they were a very minor issue, just keep the kitchen clean and you won't see them! We loved the geckos, they are so harmless and will even pose for up close pictures! You'll get used to the roosters, they are everywhere on the island, just bring earplugs to ensure a good night's sleep. Bed's were cozy, King in the bedroom as well as the pullout couch in the living room. Plenty of linens and pillows. Showers were great, a spacious indoor shower and a great outdoor shower as well. We took advantage of Bruce's rental car. Very well kept and clean SUV. Cheaper than a rental and Bruce provided pickup & dropoff services at the airport. Lastly, we played in 2 "farmball" games on the Fridays. So fun! All the players were so friendly and welcoming. Mahalo Bruce

Ellen went above and beyond! She sent very detailed, thoughtful, and customized recommendations well in advance of our trip, so that we could plan ahead. She was always responsive, caring, and accommodating. We have never had a better AirBnB host - truly the best. The place was just right for our family. We plan to book the same or adjacent property in the future and can't wait to come back. This was a perfect place for us. The inside and outside blend together in a beautiful way. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The location near the beach is incredible. Interesting little shelf of books if you hit a rainy day. We really did not want to leave and hope to come back someday. Thanks for sharing the dream Micco!

Great stay. Clean, comfortable, and super quiet and peaceful. Great location. Loved that there’s a coffee grinder and French press for my morning coffee! Good communication with the host. I’ll definitely stay there again.

After a stay at a beach resort, we were ready for something more off the beaten track. As soon as we saw Tiare’s listing, we knew it was exactly where we wanted to spend the last part of our Kauai vacation. The cottage did not disappoint! We loved sitting on the deck or relaxing inside with the fans moving the breezes. No A/C and none needed. We also loved making dinners in the well-equipped kitchen and grilling fresh fish on the large and clean BBQ. The cottage was also perfect for heading to the Poipu beaches and exploring up the west shore and the spectacular canyon. Tiare was a great host with prompt responses and good suggestions. MAHALO! We will be back.

We loved our stay surrounded by beautiful scenery. Would recommend this stay to anyone. Looking forward to our next time back!

Cozy cottage in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to a nice beach that was great for walking and sunset viewing. Great location for exploring Waimea Canyon and South / West shore. Cottage had ample space for family of 4 - lanais on 3 sides with glass doors for light and fresh air. Host was welcoming, responsive and provided great local recommendations for activities and dining.

Ahlea’s cottage makes for the perfect couples getaway. Cozy and romantic with stunning sunset views across Nawiliwili Bay, it’s truly delightful. The cottage is clean, current and well maintained. In fact, the kitchen is, hands down, the best stocked kitchen of all the Airbnbs I’ve stayed in through the years. The cottage is lovely and perfect for a couple’s getaway. Unfortunately, a family issue arose that caused us to cut our stay short. Ahlea was fantastic in her support and understanding. Two weeks after our stay, she messaged me to ensure that we were doing okay. We hit the trifecta when we booked: lovely cottage, wonderful and caring hosts and a fantastic location. If you’re coming to Kauai, book Ahlea’s cottage. You won’t regret it!

We spent our honeymoon at Jeffrey's place, and it was, in a word... Paradise! It was very secluded, and the foliage surrounding the house was lovely - a botanical garden in itself! The nearby beaches were also wonderful and never crowded. All in all, it contributed greatly to our incredible honeymoon experience!

Really enjoyed the beach and area. The accommodations were great for three of us, plenty of space.

This is a true ocean front view. Waves are literally hitting below the balcony and you have one on each floor! Parking right outside your front door! Ahlea communicates every stage of pre-check-in, to check-in and check-out. Lovely place. Very cozy. Kitchen has everything you need. Washer/dryer look new. What is there not to love? TY Ahlea for the opportunity to enjoy ourselves!

Awesome place! Superb location. We walked to Tunnels beach almost every morning and swam there. The water was quite calm in the morning and the waves got bigger later in the day. The place was very comfortable and had everything we needed and more. The back porch is so nice even in the rain. We enjoyed seeing the animals. We would stay here again if we visit Kauai!

As advertised. Charming cottage in the perfect location in Poipu. Small but clean and airy. All sorts of supplies, spices, kitchen and beach gadgets. Furnishings not expensive but Linens, sheets and bedding were very nice. The landscaping and flowers were over the top. Owner communicates well and there were no problems

We had a great stay here and the value for the price was well worth it! Great being able to walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood and a short drive to Hanalei for anything you want to do in town. They had everything you’d need for beach going - chairs, towels, coolers, etc. Thanks!
