This place is something special. You can easily watch the sun go down as the moon comes up from your deck with no blocks to the views. Total quiet most of the time unless the hooves of horses occasionally can be heard . It is so comfortable and cosy inside. Walking distance to a post office, pub shop and takeaway . Beautiful walks too around the nearby campsite and river . Clare is the perfect host , friendly, cheerful and kind ,ensuring you total privacy yet immediate help if necessary . Eden is a perfect name for the home. . It really is a little piece of paradise on earth . Probably as good as it gets . We loved every day there .

it was an absolute delight to stay at the Retreat for a weekend away. The space was very cosy and provided everything we needed and more! We especially loved the feather duvet- so cosy! Kay and Terry really go above and beyond at providing a welcoming and comfortable environment with lots of useful information about the local area. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

What a lovely cottage. Feels a lot more spacious than the photos. Everything done to a high spec and felt just like a home from home. Sofa and beds super comfy and cosy. Perfect location, Gweek is a great base for exploring the Lizard and we loved the shop, the pub and the pop up food vans. Could do with a fire guard for the log burner but that’s it for feedback!

If you’re considering staying here, let this review be a true reflection of my experience to you help make your decision! Bev went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and at home. Although we were given all information beforehand, Bev greeted us upon arrival and was very helpful in making sure we knew where everything was. The cabin, bathroom, and the kitchen were all spotless, and always warm and toasty (much appreciated in the winter). The beds were outrageously comfortable, making for a very good night’s sleep. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, including some treats that Bev left for us! The plates, pans, and cutlery were spotless (not even a water mark). The bathroom was clean, spacious, and had more than enough toilet paper (it would’ve been the place to be during covid 2020). The shower was warm and powerful! Location is a quiet village with nice walks on the doorstep. To conclude, If you’re debating whether to book, debate no more - just book! ✨
