Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Guanacaste Province

We loved the peaceful location outside of town. Restaurants are close by and there is a lot to do within an hour or two of driving. The home was roomy and comfortable. It had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. We especially enjoy the covered patio and watching the sunsets. The driveway approach is a little tricky, but the signs are helpful, and we figured it out. We would stay again. Thank you!

The Casita Verde was just what we expected: rustic, clean, relaxed and comfortable. Location could not be better, just around the corner from the beach and close to a great pizzeria, juice bar, amazing gelato, mini super and high end bodega. Plus 10 minutes walk to the big surf beach at Playa Guiones. Amazing sunsets not to be missed. Fatou was so kind and full of positive energy and Johanna took great care of us. We plan to return!

Amazing place. We stayed there, working remotely and enjoying Costa Rica for a month or so. First, the host's support was out of this world. They would answer our questions and fix them within the same day. It was quite impressive. Now, the house. Great 3-stories house. Amazing pool. (beware, it's not a warm jacuzzi tho) The view of the jungle was breathtaking. Great amenities, clean house, and cleaning team for the pool and house were great. However, since this house is on top of a little hill, I am not sure we could have come to it without an SUV. Finally, the location was great. 5 mins from Villareal. 13 mins from Tamarindo. Close enough, but far enough in the jungle, we felt at peace, away from the noise and busyness of the city. Overall, I recommend it, and I will come back for sure! This place was great for remote workers, with office chairs and desks in every room.

Jorge’s Villa Los Encinos is a great place to stay, offering a peaceful location near Parque Nacional Rincón de la Vieja and Liberia, away from crowds. It’s a great alternative to expensive mountain hotels, with a relaxing atmosphere surrounded by nature. Jorge, the host, is very hospitable and quick to address any issues, such as fixing a broken shower hose or light bulb. The villa has some minor shortcomings, such as missing blackout curtains and a lack of a dedicated workroom, but for the price, it’s a great value. The pool area is shared, not private as listed, and there may be construction noise nearby, though Jorge handled it promptly. Noise from animals, like barking dogs and roosters, is typical in Costa Rica. The kitchen lacks a table and chairs, but this can be worked around. Some cleanliness issues and outdated photos in the listing should be noted. Overall, the villa offers a wonderful, tranquil experience with a welcoming host.

Chris is such a responsive, gracious host. His communication is top-notch—he even sent videos with directions of how to arrive and get into the place. The place was so well appointed and comfortable. He sincerely wanted us to have a good Costa Rican experience. We’d return in a heartbeat!

We have already visited Pinilla on several occasions. For us its location and safety is most valuable. By joy, on this occasion our stay was up to par with the house and its hosts Veronica and Mahomet.

Naomi’s place was perfect for our family of 4. It was clean, well appointed and the beds were very comfortable. Check in was easy and when we had a plumbing issue, Naomi was very responsive and kind. The beach is an easy 4 block walk. Highly recommend.

Casa Buda was perfectly situated for me to walk to get groceries and go where I needed to go. I loved the feel of it with the illuminated courtyard (string lights) and balcony which I stepped out on to stargaze and also to see the birds. I felt safe during my stay. The towels including the kitchen towel had a good feel to them. I also liked the cheerful colors of the bedding and that the coverlet was soft. I don't usually watch TV in bed, but the rooms each have a large one with a remote, and I found some interesting videos to watch on YouTube via the app on the TV. The kitchen had everything I needed to make my meals. I loved the Costa Rican coffee that is there to enjoy. It was a larger space than what I needed since there were two bedrooms and I only used one, so if you're a family traveling - or two couples - you'll have plenty of space. Overall, it's an artfully designed place that is well cared for with attentive hosts. I would stay here again!

Our stay here was incredible, If your looking for a prívate and calm place don’t even think about it and book the place right away. We left today and we are already looking forward to come back.

A fully-equipped home. Very private and secure Ideal for visiting with family or friends. It features a pet space. Close to beautiful beaches like San Juanillo, Marbella, Junquillal and Playa Blanca. In a quite rural area of Guanacaste. With customer service from Alejandro excellent and very fast. A 10/10! Highly recommended! :)

This home was perfect for our stay with 3 adults and 3 children. The private pool was great, kitchen had everything we needed. Take the drive up to the top of the world community which is incredible and we had it to ourselves both times we went! I would definitely stay here again if I came to Costa Rica again. We went to Diamante Eco park to see all the animals- highly recommend, and ate a delicious lunch at a very unique spot called the monkey bar not far from the Airbnb or Diamante! Check it out for sure!

Great Place. Casa Del Sol is a safe, secure, clean, with excellent pool and private complex right off the beach. Nestled in a true Costa Rican quiet community. The Hosts were quick to respond to everything and they had all the beach gear with a wagon to haul it to the beach. Howler Monkeys visiting behind the complex was a treat.

We stayed for a month and enjoyed the location. A couple times neighbors from adjacent rentals were playing music loudly but the caretaker next door was very quick to have them reduce the volume when we asked her. The caretaker and her husband were very kind and helpful. The house felt spacious and comfortable. Overall the location was peaceful, comfortable and a pretty quick drive to Tamarindo / Playa Grande etc. The owner was communicative and accomodating. Any requests / concerns we had were handled immediately. Would recommend to others!

I could live there! What a wonderful home and especially the back yard. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool, grill and outside seating/dining area. The home was very clean and we had plenty of room for 4 adults. The community was clean and we felt very safe. There was a restaurant within the community, and they had a few beach chairs available. The beach was clean, but the waves were pretty rough so we spent more time in the pool which was delightful. There is also a small grocery store within the gates as well. You really don't need to leave if you don't want to. Elizabeth was extremely responsive and answered all our questions. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing visit to Costa Rica.

Cedric's place is safe, clean, easy to get to (located on a main road), pet friendly, and has a wonderful pool area (the perfect place to cool down after a day at the beach). It is about a 30 minute drive to Tamarindo, but there are a few beaches much closer (within a 15-20 min drive). You don't need a 4x4 to access the home, and there are grocery stores and restaurants less than a 10 minute drive away. A great place to stay!

Casa Vida Azul is amazing! We loved the villa, backyard pool and being so close to the beach. Lovely, safe community with lots of birds and monkeys. Store on site is well stocked, security and neighbors very friendly. We loved being able to walk down to the beach for a coffee or The Rancho for a cocktail. Santa Teresa and Montezuma easy day trips. Pura vida living at its best!

Highly recommended this airbnb!! From the moment I messaged the owners about booking until drop off at the airport when our stay was over, the communication from Todd and Marco was outstanding!! The house is amazing and had everything we needed and more. Perfect for 2 couples (with or without children) with the 2 masters on opposite ends of the house. We did not need the bunk room but we were very impressed with the design!! We spent most of our time on the back deck . . . Admiring the beautiful view (sunsets were WOW!), reading on the loungers, relaxing in the pool or playing cards at the beautiful wooden table. When we did want to venture out, Marco was more than happy to hook us up with a fishing boat (highly recommend), helping organize the private chef (again, highly recommend) or letting us know about good local restaurants. Renting the super spiffy golf cart was definitely a good choice. It got us everywhere we needed to go. Again, I cannot recommend this place enough.

A great place! Beautiful view, great breakfasts, and the staff was very kind, welcoming and helpful (including waiting up for us for a late night arrival). We really enjoyed our stay!

Great stay!! We enjoyed the farm!! Rustic, no frill, but beautifully surrounded by nature and well equipped accommodations. Both Alex and Carlos were great. Good idea to bring in some things from town if your preference is cooking like ours. We like adventure, so driving into town and other spots was fun for us. Will visit again!
