This charming beach house made for an unforgettable part of our trip! Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was a real treat, and the sunsets from the house were absolutely breathtaking. The staff who welcomed us were incredibly kind and accommodating—they even let us store some items in the fridge before check-in without any hassle. As described, the house has a "rustic" feel, but for us, it brought back nostalgic memories of summer cabin stays. The beach itself was stunning and never had more than 15 people on it at a time, making it feel wonderfully peaceful. I was also impressed by how well the air conditioners kept the space cool. The surrounding area offers plenty of great dining options, many within walking distance. Our favorite spot for breakfast was Surf Box, just an 8-minute drive away. If you're looking for a cozy getaway where you open your front door onto the beach and soak in the relaxed atmosphere, this is the perfect place for a couple of nights!

This was our best Airbnb experience. It felt like our own personal luxury hotel. It was exactly as pictured and the pictures are probably even understated. It is very spacious and was very clean and well stocked. Walking out from the pool directly the beach is a huge bonus, especially for those traveling with kids. There are a few restaurants within a short walking distance. Use of pool and beach toys are also included. We really didn’t lack for anything the entire stay. Highly recommend.

Dean was very helpful in terms of check in and any needs we had during the stay. His place was beautiful in a very quiet, private community just a few steps to the beach. The view from the porch was amazing! Highly recommend Deans home.

We stayed for a month and being able to prepare meals was important. The kitchen was best! Every cooking utensile you would need was there. Scott meet us there in a driving rain and checked us in. The beach was very close. The pool was really nice and maintained every day. I hope to make a return visit soon!

Great condo, million dollar view of ocean. Very peaceful and close to everything. A great find and amazing place to relax. Definitely will go back.

This location has a private beach and is walking distance to restraunts, marina, and Playa Flamingo. We wish it had a pool. AC and WiFi were good.

As real estate agents say about properties the most important thing is “location, location, location”. This condo is walking distance to everything and most importantly for beach vacation it is 2 minutes to the beach! Not least important is that place is roomy enough, clean and hosts are always respond quickly if we need help or questions. Outside pool is a great plus. We had a great time!

Casa Miel is a rare find in that it really is a single family home, not a villa. The location could not have been better and the pool was beautiful and cleaned daily. It was easy to settle into Casa Miel with our golf cart and it is a 5 minute ride into town where many shops, restaurants and hotels are. We loved our time here and, if you have to go to Tamarindo, this would be my choice again. The host and housekeeper were very friendly and helpful. Any tour you hope to take, transport you need to set up, restaurant suggestions, private massages and chef services along with much more is listed in the house manual. We truly lacked nothing. 5/5

Jorge is a very welcoming and very present host. Inside, the property is basic corresponding to the photos The grounds with direct access to Rio Blanco its swimming pool and gazebo is spectacular The location of the villa is perfect for the park, Leona Falls and grocery store! We recommend!

I have been a regular visitor to Samara for the past 6 years and in that time I have stayed in many lovely short term rentals but I can honestly say that Casa Nia is my favorite. The coziness of the house, the beautiful tropical gardens and perfect little pool can't be beat. Located near the Saturday market, restaurants, grocery stores and the beach make for a convenient stay. I highly recommend Casa Nia!

We have already visited Pinilla on several occasions. For us its location and safety is most valuable. By joy, on this occasion our stay was up to par with the house and its hosts Veronica and Mahomet.

This home was so much more than we expected. Well equipped, clean, BEAUTIFUL location. Andres was very responsive with my questions and Maggie is an absolute delight. She helped us schedule an amazing outing to snorkel, and saw dolphins, sea turtles, and a mama and baby whale. Our trip included a mom and dad who had been to Samara twice before and wanted to share it with our 8 year old. We swam, relaxed, and spent time as a family. Despite significant travel woes getting to Costa Rica and home, this home gave us a wonderful family getaway. I highly recommend it! Thank you!

We had a great stay at Dirk’s place. The area is very relaxing. Four restaurants nearby and a small mini mart. The house is right next to the entrance to the beach. The beach is spectacular. A few miles long, great surfing, wonderful sunsets, and not crowded compared to the beach at Tarmarindo. We stayed for two weeks. The first week we rented a car to do grocery shopping, etc. The second week we just relaxed using nearby restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed the pool when not at the beach. If you want to go to Tarmarindo it is about a 15 minute walk on the beach to the inlet that separates the two areas, you can then use the locals with their boats to cross. Cost $2 per person. Boats start at 8 and stop at 5. Dirk is a great host. He helped us with renting the car, and was generous with his recommendations. Look forward to returning.

Have to say, we’ve stayed in a lot of different places but this one “takes the cake!” We thoroughly enjoyed staying at The Beach House. Anything you would need was available-kitchen well appointed, plenty of towels (in bathrooms & for beach), plenty of chairs on covered porch for when all 5 of us wanted to sit together as a group. We loved having the pool, the tiki hut, & easy access to the beach! Everything was very clean when we arrived & kept clean all week we were there. Ileana, the housekeeper, & Alexander, the groundskeeper, were very sweet & helpful. Of course we loved Missy always greeting us with a wagging tail! The setting of the property was awesome & the view out to the bay breathtaking! We would definitely look into staying at this property again if coming back to Costa Rica!

A sandy piece of heaven! So wonderfully quiet, just the roar of the surf. Calm, relaxing... exactly what we needed. Felt safe and supported the entire stay.

The location can’t be beat! Just being able to sit on the patio every morning and evening listening to and watching the ocean was so peaceful. The house was perfect for our family of 3. The kitchen is very well set up with lots of working space and a view of the ocean while you cook! The lawn is gorgeous with many hammocks to relax in while kids played football. Then there’s the beautiful beach just steps from the house. Lila was so responsive and accommodating for our family. We truly were able to live Pura Vida while here! We had a great time in Samara in this house. The location is perfectly remote but still walking distance to restaurant and city center. The kids loved the pool and the view of the ocean was amazing! We could have stayed much longer, and regretted not having booked a week or two more in this great place

We've stayed at many Airbnbs, and this was by far our favorite. Lovely house, comfortable beds, a great bathroom for each of the bedrooms, fantastic pool with warm water in a great neighbourhood, only steps from a beautiful, quiet beach. We watched the sunsets from our balcony or took the conveniently supplied camp stools to watch from the beach. Some nice restaurants and a small grocery store we could walk to. A short drive from horseback riding, Playa Conchal, the Westin where we got day passes and an hour's drive from Tamarindo where we went shopping. Just as important, our hosts were very responsive to our needs in advance of our trip, and while we were there. Friendly, lovely people. We would definitely come again.

Sabine and Nico were very kind and cordial hosts, answering any questions and responding to any needs asap. The pool was a very nice addition after coming in from the beach just across the street. Outside grill by pool was a nice touch. Directions using Wave or Google Maps was easy enough to find. The area is very quiet, calm and not at all touristy which is what we were after! Would recommend and stay again.
