Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Guacimo

Very well located accommodation for transit between the Caribbean coast and La Fortuna. Also convenient for a day trip to Tortuguero. The hosts are very charming and helpful and even hung out our laundry when the sun came out in our absence. Restaurants and shops are available nearby and you can park your car safely in a closed courtyard with a padlock. Note: the pool was not accessible during our visit (empty, perhaps due to weather conditions), this was not important to us, but if it is for you, you can ask the host for more information. A house in the middle of a beautiful plot of land, with many trees, a river that passes nearby and animals such as ducks, chickens and roosters... The kitchen is fully equipped and being outdoors has its charm, since you eat outside under a large, very nice porch. Comfortable beds and large bathroom. Everything with pleasure.

Nice little appartment on walking distance to the centre. Very kind host and super clean! We recommend this ti others 🙂

A beautiful house with fantastic views with nature right outside our balcony.

The rustic house is perfect for a quiet and private getaway. The house feels cozy. The fire pit and jacuzzi are great additions to the house. Waking up to the nature is amazing! Will stay there again.

If you are looking to be immersed in Costa Rican life and have a culturally rich and delicious experience -- I can not recommend this casita enough. The views are incredible and access to Maria's knowledge of the area, culture, climate and farming life crafts beyond unique experience. Turrialba is a growing tourist destination -- so get there before it catches on. Please note -- this is a farm stay in a rustic casita, think glamping vs hotel room. The roads are very windy and the farm road to access the casita was bumpy -- and so much fun! My husband, 5 year old and I felt very comfortable. Maria can arrange for farm to table meals to be provided which we took advantage of (delicious!) and we got to see her store + farm!

An extraordinarily nice place. You can see a sunrise towards Turrialba very beautiful. Also the night is beautiful. Of course you have to keep in mind that the park is located about 200 Mts. from the cabin. But it is worth making the effort to pull the luggage.

This is a second time that we have visited Karl’s property. Since we came last time he has put in an additional lane that allowed us to drive our car all the way to the Finca - luxury indeed! It is a magnificent place in a valley surrounded by a beautiful stream and forests that you can walk up and round and along. There are many birds and this morning we saw a jagundi outside our bedroom. It ran away as soon as it heard us move. The sounds are beautiful. The space is wonderful and although it feels isolated it is only a 15 minute walk downhill into La Suiza. I have to say it’s probably a 30 minute walk up though! We love this place and wouldn’t hesitate to suggest you try and book it. Local shops and restaurants are great and there is a genuine feel of friendless and kindness within La Suiza itself. I think it is well located to reach many other excellent tourist and non-tourist experiences. Karl is one of the best hosts we have had.
