Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Gretna

We stayed here for a bachelorette and the location was perfect. We were about a mile from the French Quarter but it was a beautiful walk the way there. We were close enough to walk to the French quarter and Frenchman st but far enough that we weren’t right in the mix. There was still a bit of noise through the night, but it was much better than being right in it. The beds were more comfortable than my bed at home and the bathrooms and kitchen were spotless. The host even wrote us a sweet note and left champagne for us!

Ryan was an attentive and helpful host. The accomodations were exactly as described and worked well for my family of 5. Access to public transportation was just a short walk away.

Great spot. We wanted some place that could accommodate us four moms for a momcation that was somewhere close to Magazine street and this place was great. The house was quiet at night, especially in the back room, and the beds were cozy. Lots of towels too. It was a perfect spot for us to hang out in between our activities. Water pressure was a little low in the hall bathroom shower but it wasn't an issue for us. I mention that here only because water pressure can be hard for the host to change, but it might be important to some (it wasn't really for us)

Whitley's place was great. Clean. spacious, comfortable and attractive. The location was also great. Easy to get to a lot of interesting places. The hosts are easy to contact. Highly recommend.

The best hosts ever ! If i could give 10 stars i would. Location was Excellent !! Home was super clean and spacious actually exceeded the expectations i had. My hosts always responded right away i never had to wait for them to get back with me. Bed was SO cozy be careful there lol. You might be stuck there for a while. Games were already in home for us. Safety 10/10. I never felt out of place it was like we lived there for the weekend. Thank you so so much for having us and allowing us to enjoy NOLA 🫶🏾 whenever i come to New Orleans I'll def be staying again. 100/10.

We had an absolute blast staying at Kimberly’s place! Very convenient location relative to St. Charles Ave. and a plethora of restaurants, bars, and shops! Her neighbor, Willie, was extremely nice and made us feel very welcome to the neighborhood. We’ll be back!!!

This place truly is on a spectacular block. Comfortable, pleasant, close to enough bars and restaurants and music but far from the French Quarter craziness.

Highly highly recommend. It was very spacious and felt homey and you get a whole kitchen!! It was close to pretty much everything and was very safe. The only downfall was the shower pressure wasn’t that good and the bed could be softer but it was overall an amazing stay. Would definitely stay here again. ❤️❤️❤️

The house was very comfortable and clean and in a great neighborhood. Easy to access the city or relax in the house. Short walk to Tulane to visit campus. We will definitely be coming back. Thanks!

Our family found Historic Getaways to be a nice place to stay that was within walking distance of the French Quarter. It was a pretty, quant neighborhood. The backyard was very pretty, and a great place to enjoy fellowship after it got dark. The house itself was not as well lit as it appeared in the display photos, it often felt rather dark inside, but the beds were comfortable and the furniture was rather aesthetically appealing. It also had plenty of room for a family of six. If you have a larger family and you are visiting NOLA, I would recommend giving this place a try!

We stayed at this lovely home for a family Thanksgiving get-together. This home was perfect for our family. We know New Orleans well, and we appreciated the quiet location that is still central to most New Orleans attractions. The best thing about this house is the owners, Phil and Lydia. There were some issues during our stay. A shower head needed repair and a workman had turned the gas supply to the range off. Phil and Lydia were remarkably quick to reply and to get these problems taken care of quickly. They usually answered within minutes when we messaged them through Airbnb. The outdoor and pool area is lovely. The kitchen is very well equipped. We love the mid-century interior-so much character! Overall this is a beautiful home and a very good choice for anyone spending time in New Orleans.

We absolutely loved our stay here! I traveled with my 3 daughters aged 22, 19 & 12. As you can imagine, we can be hard to please but we all agreed that this house was PERFECT for us. The neighbors have chickens which we all enjoyed thoroughly while hanging on the front porch. The back patio is gorgeous & very private. We had great luck w/ the next door tenants who had kids for my youngest to swim with. Pool was warm & felt so good after a long day walking around! Beds were comfy! We all slept better than any of us have in a long time! We are fan sleepers but left our fans behind. A quick message to Aleks though on our way down & there were fans waiting on us when we arrived! We are planning to return when the beloved Nic Cage passes to pay our respects & will be booking here again!!!!

We had two families spending a weekend in New Orleans, the place was great and we really liked the pool.

Overall an amazing stay, felt at home everything you could think of they had ready to go. They were extremely helpful. We had issues heating the pool & they responded fast and sent the pool man to help us. Super clean great home even with toddlers. The neighborhood was nice and peaceful, driving distance to french quarter was no more than 20 min. Great communication with host and response time was good.

We had a wonderful stay! The home was just as described. Very roomy and comfortable. There was a small issue with the pool. Var was incredibly responsive and proactive when contacted. The issue was resolved the same morning. Wonderful accommodations for a family. A+++ rating!

I booked this place for my bachelorette weekend. We all had plenty of space and it was so easy to get around the city from where we were located.

Everything was fantastic, I loved that every room had its own bathroom (so convenient), close to everything, clean and the showers got real hot water. The last BnB i rented in New Orleans the water only got lukewarm. Only issue was the people that live across the street was up all night being loud.

Beautiful home with high end fixtures and furnishings. Great location - walkable to restaurants and shopping. Enjoyed the manicured back yard. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location for anyone visiting Tulane. We attended the NOLA Bookfest at Tulane and were able to walk to everything saving us the hassle of parking etc.

One of the best Airbnb‘s we have ever stayed at. Completely separated from the other half of the house. Literally feels like you actually have an entire condo to yourself, without the kitchen.. Has a refrigerator and coffee maker with everything supplied, so for weekend stays or even longer, It’s perfect! When you’re in the N.O. area who wants to cook anyway, it’s the best food in the world IMO! VERY cool neighborhood and VERY quiet. The description does not even do this place justice, it’s even better than described. Trevor is a great host and even responded to a message I sent at 2 in the morning. I could go on and on, but if you’re having any doubts about staying here, put them aside and go ahead and book it. Can’t forget about the bidet, either! 😂

We started here when a group of us were in town for our friend's wedding and it was lovely. So spacious, comfortable, and awesome location. The neighborhood is walkable and has such cute and colorful New Orleans homes and great restaurants. James was also really helpful and communicative. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful updated home. My wife really wanted to cook on the big beautiful gas stove but we had other plans. Spacious bed rooms with enough room for pack n play. Down stairs living room could use some updated seating. The upstairs living room was great. Off street Parking was great but a little cramped, but most houses do not have that and that is one of the main reasons we chose this house.

Beautiful clean home, quiet neighborhood! Comfiest bed we’ve had in a while when traveling! Every room you walked into was spacious! Appreciated the tvs and Netflix usage! We have family that lives 2 blocks away so I hope they will have us back in the future!
