Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Grant County

Tucked away outside of the gilla national park was surprising. Very secluded and peaceful, with a comfortable interior. I would recommend staying here to others coming to the area.

Douglas's home was a joy to inhabit! His communication was excellent, the entire home was immaculate, and even though it is pet friendly, we had no pets and there was ZERO trace of animals having been there. Although there are outdoor amenities, we didn't use them, preferring just to lay low and decompress in prep for 2025. Highly recommended, would return in a heartbeat.

Our three-generation family occupied both Gatehouse and Bunkhouse dwellings, where we enjoyed Christmas cheer and feasting. Our thoughtful hosts made our stay uber-comfortable, with well-equipped kitchens, comfy bedding, good hot showers, great spaces to gather--everything as described. But most memorable and utterly out of the ordinary was Alex's guided tour of the quarters still remaining on the storied historic L.C. Ranch. Some buildings dating to the early 1800s, with furnishings lovingly assembled over decades by the family of the current stewards (and much left in place from previous centuries), made for a great place to unwind and explore the astonishing surroundings. Gila Cliff Dwellings and Catwalk, like this precious time capsule, are not to be missed!

I like airbnb because it sometimes allows me to stay somewhere I would otherwise never get to know. Cheryl's place is in an unusual location and staying in her place gives a very small sense of what it would be like to live on the outskirts of Silver City. The starry sky was beautiful and I really appreciated the wood stove (but only succeeded one night in getting it going). I also really liked the sense of an older (adobe?) home, it's more curved lines. The Mimbres Cultural Heritage site was closed when I visited but I still enjoyed my time there alone, and crept down to the river, which was special. Very memorable experience. Thank you.

The home is beautiful; Pictures do no justice! Wait until you get there to realize the home-y feeling it gives you. I loved how organized and labeled everything was. Matt and his family were very nice and responsive. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us! 🫶🏼 Merry Christmas.

We love this place. It is our third consecutive year visiting Wren's casita. What else can be said?

What a great little place to stay. You feel it as soon as you arrive, in a word tranquility. It’s so quiet, the native plants around the property are amazing and the views are spectacular, during the day and especially at night! Authentic SW New Mexico decor inside, it has a real flame Kiva at the push of a button! You’ll enjoy your stay, we certainly did.

Great place to stay if you’re down in the Deming area. Erica is a top notch host and very responsive. Highly recommended!

You couldn’t ask for more gracious hosts than Gary & Catherine. And the Lookout property was magical. Views to die for. Peace galore. Loved the outdoor tub and the cozy wood stove. Very romantic. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommend ❣️
