All good. Extremely responsive and accommodative host. Not ideal that the boat cannot be locked if you leave it. But quiet and safe neighbourhood and overall very pleasant stay in a cozy special location. Thanks a lot!

Superb stay very close to the Amsterdam city center. Very spacious, high quality and convenient. In particular we enjoyed the fire place (which was pre-arranged for us before our arrival), the fully equipped kitchen and of course the two very friendly cats.

Groep Accommodation Sailing Ship

JacquesRating, 5 stars22 months ago
Sandra is a high quality boat captain, pedagogue, anxious to share her passion for sailing, mobilizing the energy of the passengers. His tips for choosing the circuit and the harbor steps are wise and we were looking forward to following them. This historic boat (it is over 100 years old), in perfect condition is ideal to make its first weapons of sailors. The whole family was delighted to participate in the maneuvers. In short, what a positive thing. Thanks to Sandra and her team

We've been waiting for the opportunity to stay on a canal boat during one of our Amsterdam trips. It was great! We also enjoyed our time spent at Cafe de Sluyswacht right next door.
The historical sailing ship, de Chateauroux, is depicted gliding across calm waters. Its distinctive red sails are billowed by the breeze, set against a softly colored sunset sky. The surrounding water reflects the evening light, offering a serene view of the vessel in motion.

Harold's cozy houseboat is ideal for a few days' stay in Amsterdam. By public transport you are super fast in the city center! The houseboat is cozily furnished and it's a little adventure to stay in if you're not used to it. Harold is very friendly and even gave us a fruit basket and a bottle of wine to welcome us!

Sleeping on the ship “de Johanna”

LizRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We can really recommend staying on the boat. The location is something special, sitting in the wheelhouse watching the sun go down and the boats coming and going was so relaxing, you are surrounded by water birds and the gentle sounds of the harbour. Soooo easy to get into Amsterdam on the bus and tube. If you want to see more of the area get the bus to Edam, walk to Vollendam then ferry to Marken and a bus back home, great cafes in every town and all are fascinating to walk round. We feel very lucky to have spent time on Johanna.

Former ferry houseboat right at the National Opera

This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. If you’re considering staying here, just do it! The location was incredible. We were in the middle of everything and it was very convenient to the train and tram stations. The houseboat itself was perfect. It is small, but that didn’t bother us one bit. We loved watching all the boats go by from the comfort of the kitchen table. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

Staying aboard the good ship Levantus for five days was an absolute joy. The photos truly capture its unique charm, luxurious feel, and cosy atmosphere. It’s a warm and inviting nest, making it the perfect base for exploring Amsterdam. Getting to and from the boat is easy, with a short tram or bus ride from Centraal Station and the city center. The surrounding neighborhood is peaceful and interesting, with plenty of excellent cafes and restaurants for those evenings when you want to stay local. Roy and Xander were exceptional hosts - their warm and friendly welcome made our stay unforgettable. Their thoughtful recommendations for places to eat, drink, and visit were spot-on and greatly appreciated. Levantus was everything we could have hoped for and more. Special thanks to our amazing hosts for making our holiday truly perfect. Would highly recommend.
