Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Gouldsboro

Seven stars out of five! We have stayed in numerous places in Maine over the years, and given a lot of five star reviews. This one surpasses them all, hence the off the charts grade. It is incredibly well provisioned, spotless, spacious, inviting, and has an enormous porch with a view so lovely it looks fake. You can't even hear your neighbors, let alone see them. We heard loons, crows, and one very belligerent owl, but not once did we hear our neighbors. The only way you will know the tenant is home, is that a car will park opposite on the side of the house from you. The fire pit makes it easy and convenient to host a fire, even if it is only for 45 minutes or so. Kayaks are provided along with life jackets. At night you can see millions of stars. Place is so peaceful and comfortable, we almost didn't make it into the park haha. We will definitely be back!

This place is amazing! So cozy and so comfortable! The lake was beautiful and we made plenty of use of the fire pit and kayaks. Stephen was so kind and responsive and made asking questions easy. I would recommend this place to everyone!

This property was so charming and a perfect fit for our group of 4. There is 1 bathroom in the main house and 1 in the garden house which worked out perfectly for us. The guidebook that the hosts provided was a huge help!

We recently stayed at this lovely Airbnb for three days and had a fantastic experience. The space was warm and comfortable, with the gas furnace keeping us cozy throughout our stay. We really appreciated the ample space and the convenience of the in home laundry. The kitchen was nicely appointed, making it easy for us to prepare meals, and the blueberry jam provided was a delightful touch. The location was perfect, surrounded by beautiful scenery that added to our overall enjoyment. We would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

It would be an understatement to say that I LOVED Greg's place! The house was so unique and architecturally fun - I felt like a little kid arriving and exploring, as did my 6 yr old! It was a perfect spot for a winter getaway and I can imagine it would be equally beautiful in any season. The house was so comfortable and light filled, with great woods/water views and beach access. We loved hanging on the huge couch reading, playing games and watching movies! Just a few notes - while the kitchen was very pleasant to cook in and totally fine for basic meal prep, it's not the best stocked with tools for serious cooking. Bedrooms were also very comfortable, each with their own bathroom too, and great for our family of three, but I probably wouldn't come back with friends or extended family as there's not much sound privacy between the house and bedrooms, as the upstairs bedroom has a direct opening into the living spaces. All in all we loved it though and can't wait to return!

Tim was a very responsive host, helping us with our needs. The home is massive and was perfect for a big group. The location was great. Kitchen fully stocked for any cooking needs. Would love to stay again!

We had an unforgettable stay at this charming Airbnb on Mount Desert Island during the MDI marathon weekend with our family. The location was idyllic, nestled in a quiet, serene part of the island that truly captured the essence of island living. We loved how peaceful it was, yet it was still close enough to explore the famous lighthouses, adding an extra layer of beauty to our trip. Waking up to the tranquil sounds of nature and taking in the coastal views set the perfect backdrop for our marathon experience. The home was cozy, well-appointed, and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was attentive and made sure we had all the information necessary to explore the surrounding area. This place is a hidden gem, and we couldn’t have asked for a better spot to enjoy family time and make lasting memories. Highly recommend for anyone looking to experience the best of Mount Desert Island!

My sisters and I stayed here for a few days for our annual winter sister’s trip and had such a lovely and relaxing time! Michelle and Dan’s home is super cozy and comforting - a wonderful place to stay in winter and I’m sure it’s even more exceptional in the warmer months. The sunset from the deck is breathtaking and the view of the stars at night is mesmerizing!! For anyone looking for a fun hike, the Frank E Woodworth preserve is gorgeous! The trail is not maintained in the winter but is well marked. We couldn’t be more pleased with our stay here and highly recommend anyone looking for a trip to coastal Maine stay in this lovely home. You’ll have everything you need and more !

Perfect location for our needs, away from the craziness of Bar Harbor (yet just a few miles away when we needed to drive in for meals) and very close to Acadia National Park where we spent most of our time. Kevin and Donna’s place was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it together others!

Very comfortable Airbnb, we loved our stay. The beds were great, the living area was really nice, cosy and well decorated. The location was great, walking distance to restaurants and the harbor. The coffee provided in the Airbnb was also great. We had a wonderful stay

The Nest was beautiful, well appointed, and the attention to design details went above and beyond. Pam has such talent in creating exquisite, comfortable and elegant spaces. Everything was perfect. Her muffins and peanut butter cookies are the best!

We had a wonderful stay at this cozy studio apartment in Camden. The location is fantastic—just a short walk to the town center, the harbor, and a variety of restaurants and shops. The beautiful library and other local amenities are close by, making it easy to explore everything Camden has to offer. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, with convenient parking available on a side street away from any busy traffic. Inside, the apartment is charming and comfortable. The gas stove adds a warm, inviting touch, and the bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is surprisingly spacious for a studio and well-equipped. Overall, this apartment was the perfect spot for a relaxing and convenient stay. Highly recommend!

I really enjoyed the hospitality room. It was great to arrive and use the room for hot drinks and snacks that were free. It was good to sit down there after our long trip and relax before heading up to our room. I also enjoyed meeting the manager and cleaner. It gave it a personal touch. The location was very convenient because there was an open restaurant next door.

John’s place was absolutely lovely! It was completely spotless and the apartment was beautiful, from decor to the high ceilings and open spaces. He was super helpful and descriptive and we easily found the location and got in. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be rebooking when we are staying in the area again!

Bohni’s place is exactly what my wife and I were looking for - somewhere out in the woods on the water with a hot tub close to all the amazing little towns we love - Belfast, Camden, Rockland, etc. Bohni was one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. We felt horrible because we got half way home and realized we forgot to take the trash out :( I would highly recommend her adorable home.
