Vacation rentals with a patio in Golfo Dulce

We are grateful for all the service and friendliness of Mr. Rafael. I help and guide us quickly to look for what to do based on our interests. He put us in touch with guides for tours and was always available to help us with any questions or concerns. The recommendations for places to eat were excellent, we enjoyed a delicious dinner in a restaurant nearby. Everything was pretty clean and clean. The balcony is great for passing the time, seeing the sea or the sunrise. The kitchen is nicely equipped for cooking and is spacious. The bathroom is equally clean, spacious and with good lighting. The beds in the rooms are super comfortable and the air conditioning was luxurious. Highly recommended for tourists or locals who want to live a unique experience and be close to the beach with wonderful views. Also, if you are a nature lover you can find a lot of wildlife in the surroundings like birds and frogs.

We had an amazing stay at Oldemar’s place in Drake Bay. The location truly feels like the edge of the world—remote, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle and the view was simply magical. The apartment is incredibly well-equipped, with all the comforts of the city in a lost paradise deep in the jungle. The outdoor kitchen is fantastic, perfect for cooking while enjoying the surrounding nature, and the air conditioning works perfectly—an absolute luxury in this remote setting. Oldemar was a fantastic host, always available to help and provide recommendations. He was also very flexible with our checkout and luggage, which made our departure much easier. If you’re looking for a unique, off-grid experience in one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful and untouched regions, this is the perfect place. Highly recommended!

Great location in the heart of Drake Bay! Plenty of activities and restaurants a short walk away and a beautiful view of the ocean. Vincent was extremely helpful in booking us a tour and responsive with any questions we had. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting a cozy place to stay while in Drake Bay.

Outstanding stay in every possible way. Sue and Joe have created an oasis in the jungle. The lodging itself is beautiful and matched the photos but what sets Southern Drakes Lodge apart is the service. We are a family of 5 and never have we felt so taken care of in all our travels. From the moment we booked to when it was time to depart, Sue and Joe took care of every detail from taxis, laundry, tours (thank you Elsa!), amazing meals (Thai and Ellie prepared breakfast and dinner that were as beautiful as they were delicious). Five days was not enough but we all left with a sense of gratitude that we were able to experience the OSA peninsula and stay in such a special place with amazing hosts.

This was one of our favorite CR stays. The highlight for us was the variety and amount of wildlife. Aracaris, woodpeckers, green heron, wood rails, kingfisher, toucans, Currasow, frogs, caiman, peccary, agouti, coati, huge iguanas, and brown basilisks, all made an appearance. We loved sitting on the spacious porch to watch the rain and all the animal action. Our concerns were the holes in the screens that let in bugs and the fan on the deck that had only one speed. We had previously purchased a large fan at Walmart, so were okay. We would love to return. We’re already missing seeing all of the animals.

My family and I LOVED our stay at this beautiful oasis on the mountain. It had been years since my husband and I had stayed at Pavones.... and this was the perfect way to come revisit the town and show its beauty to our two boys (10 and 13). A short drive to the beach for some surf and evenings poolside watching the sunset and coming storms. We would def stay here again. Clean, comfy, great hosts.

Both Janina and Josh were essential for our stay in Puerto Jiménez. They had the best recommendations, helped us book two tours which were amazing. Our stay in the town would’ve never been the same without them. The place was very clean with all the amenities necessary. It’s very peaceful and calm. They even offered a late checkout when we got back late from Corcovado. Truly amazing and will return.

We enjoyed Rodolfo and Inka very much. In the heat, the communal pool was an absolute highlight. Rudolfo always answered all our questions and was a very courteous host. If you are looking for absolute peace, however, you may be bothered by the quite noisy neighborhood. But it was absolutely okay for us and we would come back any time.

We LOVED Patricia's place. it took us awhile to get used to the heat as we arrived from Canada. The property is so beautiful and well maintained. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Everyday we saw new animals. We saw all 4 species of monkeys right outside our door! We also saw Toucans, Macaws, agouti, Coati and a Tayra all on the property in 5 days. I would absolutely recommend Patricias place and hope to return one day :)

Carlos is an attentive host with a beautiful property! We went on a couples trip and it was perfect to have completely separate bedrooms and bathrooms with a shared patio and kitchen. The pool was immaculate and the yard was full of hummingbirds and other wildlife to watch. Perfect home base for all of the tours we did and also close to the grocery store. Cannot recommend this little slice of paradise enough; we will definitely be visiting again!

The house is everything you see in the photos, the house is fully equipped, full air conditioning since the area needs it, the beds are super comfortable and a beautiful TV in the living room, anyone who goes to Golfito and canoas should stay in this house
