Smoking friendly vacation rentals in Gianyar Regency

Everything was solid. You pay a premium in Nyuh Kuning so don’t expect luxury - the rooms and bathrooms are a little dated and dark. But everything was reasonably well looked after. The grounds felt very peaceful and secure. The rooms were super spacious, the beds were comfy, and the air con worked great.

Great villa next to the rice fields. Loved the swimming pool and open kitchen/dining area. Made was very helpful giving us recommendations for restaurants and organised our transfers to different places! There is a coffee place opposite the villa and a new restaurant next door.

Putu is very welcoming and the accommodation is so nice, in the center of the beautiful little town of Ubud, a wonderful place.

Host + location + Accommodations… gotta say it’s really worth all the great reviews! I was sad to leave. It’s worth a longer stay. You may find cheaper but you will not find better! An occupant of another Villa rudely “borrowed” my scooter helmet off my bike but the host was quick to track them down and have it returned with ZERO drama. I love how they were so proactive. Cleaning is wonderful! Very proactive & efficient. Only issue would be cleaning on days that are not listed as cleaning days. If I know my room is being entered to clean, I would put away personal & work materials. I asked them not to do that and they were fine with that. *Gecko Alert - I am not one for lizards so at first it was a bit much seeing so many tiny geckos outside but none made it in. They do a great job keeping place clean and clear. I alerted them to a small space in window where gecko kept running in & out… they were quick to take care of sealing it. I would recommend & I will be back!

relaxing, peaceful and beautiful

We had the most incredible stay at this luxurious villa in Ubud, in Bali. The location was serene and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing getaway. The villa itself was beautifully designed with every detail considered, offering the ultimate comfort and style. What truly made our stay unforgettable was the warmth and hospitality of our hosts, Agus’s and co-host Ayu as much as their team!! They went above and beyond to make us feel at home, offering helpful tips and making sure we had everything we needed. Their kindness and dedication truly set this experience apart. We can't recommend this villa enough and can't wait to come back!

I split my stay in Ubud between a resort in the jungle for a week and staying in the city center for 5 days. This is a hidden gem right in the center of Ubud. I could walk everywhere! Even after going to restaurants and bars, I was able to walk back late at night as a single woman without any problems, while my friends had to wait for Grabs. I was also pleasantly surprised because the open air bathroom did not have any bugs. I enjoyed my baths with a couple of drops of lemongrass and citronella essential oils added to the water. It was like being in a spa. The linen smelled very fresh. Communication was flawless and responsive! I will definitely return again! Thanks for a fantastic stay!

I enjoyed my stay very much and would stay there again! The breakfast was very good and a definite perk—fresh tropical fruit, ginger honey tea, and black rice pudding were my favorite. The location is great… outside of the bustle of central Ubud in the peaceful neighborhood of Penestanan. There’s a warung (small shop) nearby and one of the BEST coffee shops (Pourmore) just outside of the entrance. The gardens on the property were so beautiful and I felt very safe and comfortable staying as a single woman.

Nyomans villa was so perfect. It’s very quiet and so beautiful. Breakfast included was delightful and so was the staff. Indra drove us to town when we needed something. Just ten minutes away. He spoke great English and had a good sense of humor. In all my travels this villa was the best. I’ll tell all my friends. Thanks again.

This was a superb experience living for a month within a Balinese family compound. It was a great location for walking to Ubud and had a selection of restaurant/cafes closeby. A variety of Beautiful spas were also close for treatments. The accomodation had a swimming pool which we used daily and a family shop which was very convenient. All of the Balinese family members were so lovely and welcoming that we cant wait to return for another holiday.

I had an amazing time at Putu's place, he is very hospitable and friendly and taught me and my friend some Indonesian, it was a great immersion in Balinese culture. The space is spacious and clean, the location was very convenient, close to the center, and away from the noise of the city. You can rent bikes with the host at a good price and he can take care of its service if needed.

As soon as we arrived they were ready to pick us up on motor bikes and bring us directly to their property. Everything was exactly how it was listed! You could take a stroll along the rice fields near the house or get some delicious food at the warungs nearby. Very friendly and responsive! We wish we could have stayed longer this trip, we will definitely be back!

This was a very comfortable and welcoming space with boats available to answer any questions and help arrange things like transportation and laundry. It was so kind and helpful of them to set up a car pickup from the airport, and they kept the space beautiful and clean with every other day cleaning. This level of service went above and beyond and made our stay so much more enjoyable. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance and impeccable hospitality from our hosts. Highly recommended!!

We had a great stay, beautiful grounds and very comfy beds. My son had fun playing with his ball lots of interior/exterior space. The swimming pool was gorgeous and private. Location was great for Bali Zoo, Bali Bird and Reptile park and Butterfly park. Only difficulty was self catering due to lack of local restaurants and not a lot of selection from the supermarket. We had an amazing visit to their family art gallery. We loved it and definitely would be back, thank you!

A fantastic place to stay. The hosts are really lovely, kind and helpful. The apartment is beautiful and perfect for a couple. We loved the private swimming pool. The scooter we rented from our host was great too. We would definitely stay again if we went back.

This place felt like home from the moment I arrived. Wayan is a kind and thoughtful host—and a visual artist—so every detail of the space feels intentional, from antique tubs and lanterns to repurposed furniture. It’s clean, comfortable, and well-stocked, with strong Wi-Fi and AC. Tucked behind a family compound, it feels private and peaceful, yet walkable to shops and just a short Gojek ride to Ubud center. I spent Nyepi here and it was magical. Despite there being other rentals in the compound, I never heard a thing. Wayan and his wife were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout my stay. It’s the perfect spot for a longer visit—peaceful, inspiring, and grounded in real Balinese life. Only note: there was a daily fire nearby that caused brief smoke in the early morning and evening, but it passed quickly. I truly started calling this place “home” and can’t wait to return.

My expectations were exceeded with this booking considering the cheap price. The hosts are very friendly and helpful, they even gifted to me and to other guests platters of fruit and snacks from their ceremonies! This place is great for long stays, I can highly recommend.

Great accommodation with a nice pool, a couple good vegan restaurants in walkable distance and good location overall. Host made us feel like home, he offered coconut upon check-in, provided daily cleaning service which helped feel clean in our 7 day stay. He was very kind to replace the AC when we mentioned it wasn’t working well. Need to take taxi to get to the Ubud center. Scooter rentals and laundry are available near by.

The room is cosy and clean. The host is very nice, helpful and responsive.

Sari made it very easy to find and had great communication for check in and a very helpful booklet about the apartment and surrounding areas felt like home straight away. A neat little hideaway surprisingly quiet for its location. Just a short walk from the beach and close to some really nice spots highly recommend sari and the apartment will stay again.

I had an amazing stay at this beautiful home in the heart of ubud! The family are so lovely and made me feel at home away from home. Extended my stay here twice and was sad to be leaving! Very peaceful but close to everything, including yoga barn. Thank you and hopefully will be back one day! :)

What a gorgeous place this is!! It’s private, very quite has a lovely pool (shared) and the kitchen is very well equipped (I’m a chef) and we cooked a lot of nice meals. Good touches where the water filter so your not wasting plastic bottles which is great. Awesome bean bags for lounging on private deck. They left us some snacks too which was sweet. Towels where great quality, bathroom was spacious. Very simple but lovely. Only little issue we had on arrive was the directions (which are perfect) but because the host (who is not around) didn’t know the part of the road just before you get to the villa was closed, like a massive hole in the road and you can’t get through it, we had no idea where our place was. I can understand this must be frustrating to the host if they didn’t know the road was gone. It may help you to change the description whilst there is no road there and therefor the details are not correct. Just before the road works start there is a left turn down the alley and then a right turn down to the villa that would help a lot more to people to find easier. Again some drivers will take you the back way but MOST will not. This is just life and these things happen and it didn’t take away what a lovely time time we had! I would DEFO stay here again, I’ve been to Seminyak loads of times and this was by far the best. The caretaker Wayan is super lovely as his her husband and he even drove us all the way north to our next place. Stay here it’s GREAT!! We had Xmas here and it was super lush x Thanks Carole. We will be back!!
