Debbie’s place is centrally located in Jamestown within 10 minutes’ walk to the waterfront en-route passing grocery stores, hotels, post office and tourist office. She provided some eggs, bread, cheese, coffee and tea to kickstart our stay which was much appreciated. There was also WiFi at the property which was a huge plus. The wooden floorboards in the upstairs bedrooms creak when walked on but I guess that is to be expected for a house of this type.

David and Di were amazing hosts right from the start to the end of my stay with them! They met me at the airport, and gave me a lift to their house so that I wouldn't need to book a taxi! They also helped me with hiring a car (a must for travelling around the island as buses are infrequent), and David even came out with me on a test drive so that I could get used to driving on the (often very steep and narrow) roads. There are many things about St. Helena that tourists may not know (e.g. you will need physical cash for most of the transactions you make on the island, but there isn't an ATM on the island, not all stores do cash back, and the bank is only open at certain times of the day), but David and Di were able to answer all my questions, and give recommendations and advice! Also they have wifi - which was invaluable, as there isn't any free public wifi that I came across on the island. I loved my time staying with them, and I know you will too!
