Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Gauley River

We had a great time at Harry’s house! He was very good at communicating with us. Everything worked great. Shower had amazing water pressure! TV had Hulu, good internet. Loved staying here!

This place was clean and comfortable and the location was great for our purposes. Our host was great to work with and even tailored the stay according to our particular needs. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Oak Hill.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay here! Host was super friendly and responsive the whole time. The house was very clean and comfortable. It was very helpful that there was a guidebook on the site to help plan the trip, plus there were brochures and books in the house to show the local restaurants or activities. We look forward to booking again in the future!

The place was great and a fair price. Within 5 minutes of everything so very convenient.

First impressions: clean and well kept. Thanksgiving with family worked out well thanks to the tidy house with plenty of kitchen stuff to make our meals. Central heat kept us warm and the working fireplace was great to hang out around. We didn't go out and about due to snow. There is only one bathroom but we made it work for us.

This place was perfect for our wedding weekend at The Gaines Estate and everything is super walkable. The fire pit was perfect for hanging out with our friends and family in the evenings. Everything was super clean and the house was cozy. I would definitely stay here again!

Great house to spend with family. I personally loved the history of the home and how much this house means to this family. Very appropriate setting for spending Thanksgiving with my son who lives in Beckley. Weather made it tough to get outside but a nice big yard for the kids to run around. We go up twice a year and I'll definitely check to see if this one is available again 🙂

Amy's airbnb is in a great location. Right on the New River. I could sit on the deck and hear the falls/rapids. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of spices, coffee and tea. The wifi was excellent. Amy made sure all was comfortable. It snowed one day while I was there and early in the morning she placed ice melt on the stairs. I will go again.

The place was great for 3 adults & 3 children. Everything was clean and tidy. Beds were very comfortable & clean. The view of the Elk river was a fav of everyone! Will definitely stay again when coming home to visit family!

Denise’s home was beautiful. We were traveling with our one year old and he has lots of space to crawl around and play which was nice. I was very impressed with how clean the home was. There were few snacks and drinks available which was a nice touch. Denise was very patient and flexible with our check in time. The view was stunning! I wish we could have stayed longer and if we are ever in the area, we definitely will stay again. I highly recommend Denise’s home.

We visited the New River Royal Gorge National Park and other surrounding sites but wanted to stay out of the busier Charleston and Berkeley areas. Jim’s place was the perfect spot to be. We were in an apartment right beside the Kanawha River. The unit was modest but had everything we needed and was very quiet. Great spot.

The three days I was there it was chilly & it rained… so having the carport was really nice along with the space heaters too. Kitchen had everything I needed and loved having a washer/dryer. Great stay!

The place was nice and cozy and conveniently down the street from the Greenbrier.

We had a wonderful time at Angela & Jeff’s place and in the surrounding area. We hiked, biked, and zip lined and had a blast. Enjoyed several local restaurants too. Beautiful location at a comfortable, well-appointed place, we enjoyed our stay immensely, including the fire pit at night under the stars. They have thought of everything here to ensure your comfort and enjoyment and it shows!

We loved our mini stay here at Ace Adventure Park!! We will be back in season!! Looking forward to coming back!! Beautiful location, beautiful grounds, the things to do in the summer are all up our alley! Can't wait!

Great backwoods place to sleep and get away from the world. Cabin was small and comfortable with the appliances listed in the description. Bathroom was clean and each cabin had their own shower and toilet. The host was easy to work with and helped us make a great stay.

We stayed to visit Cass Scenic Railroad, and Kristie’s place was comfortable, affordable and it felt so welcoming! I would definitely recommend and cannot wait to plan another trip and another stay here! Kristie was responsive and so helpful to any questions! The environment was welcoming, and comfortable. LOVED IT!!

We had a very nice few days at Half-Pint. In spite of some bad weather it was still possible to get out and visit New River Gorge and the surrounding area from Tara's cabin. Beautiful location, cozy interior, and Tara's responsive hosting made for a very good trip.

We had the best time in your place! We brought the kids on their school winter break weekend, and went over to Winterplace for snow tubing. Other than that, our group of kids (8, 11, 16, 17, 18, 19) entertained themselves in the house and the hot tub and had the very best time. We had plenty of room to cook for them, play board games with them, and generally spread out and hang out. Super clean, super comfortable house and absolutely perfect for a group like ours! Zero complaints; we had everything we needed and had a great time.

We came down to whitewater raft and zipline with Adventures on the Gorge. The cabin was so close to Adventures on the Gorge. It is nice and secluded, and has everything you need for your getaway! The hottub was great after a long day of adventuring. The host gave great local recommendations and even stopped by our first night to see if we needed anything. Our two boys (10 and 12) enjoyed the woods around the cabin. The personal touches were amazing- fresh flowers on the table, fresh baked cookies, and souvenir glasses to take home! I have stayed many places, but this one is a favorite for sure!

We stayed in Jill’s Airbnb to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family in West Virginia for the first time in five years. The location and the price are so worth it. I can’t even imagine what it would be like to stay here during the spring, summer, or winter! And Jill is the greatest host. Because it was hard to find her place in the dark, she herself drove out to meet us and show us the way! All around great stay!

Amazing place Miranda was an awesome host! Will absolutely will be staying with her again!
