Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Gauley River

We had a great time at Harry’s house! He was very good at communicating with us. Everything worked great. Shower had amazing water pressure! TV had Hulu, good internet. Loved staying here!

Wonderful house, with an even better location. We were so close to the park and lots of hiking, as well as a short drive to Fayetteville. We really enjoyed our stay and our dog was happy too! We felt right at home. The hosts went above and beyond when it snowed and shoveled our walkway up to the house. Would highly recommend!

We loved our stay here. Nathan’s house is beautiful. The hot tub was a fan favorite. It fit all 6 of us that went comfortably. The only thing we wish could’ve been better was the pool table. It was in an awkward spot upstairs so it was hard to play a good game of pool. We loved the view and how peaceful it was there

This place is a little gem hidden in a small community. The house is very spacious. Jessica in not like all ABNB' host m,when we walked in and saw how spacious was, we continued to look through the home which was much bigger than we thought, it sleeps 6 compmfortably. the big plus was the treats in the kitchen which was a hit. First impressions: clean and well kept. Thanksgiving with family worked out well thanks to the tidy house with plenty of kitchen stuff to make our meals. Central heat kept us warm and the working fireplace was great to hang out around. We didn't go out and about due to snow. There is only one bathroom but we made it work for us.

This place was perfect for our wedding weekend at The Gaines Estate and everything is super walkable. The fire pit was perfect for hanging out with our friends and family in the evenings. Everything was super clean and the house was cozy. I would definitely stay here again!

Was a quaint old home, peaceful with a beautiful view. We had family over for a birthday party and took advantage of the fire pit and grill. Joyce even helped us out when we were in need of a large cooking pot to do our seafood boil. Joyce was very friendly and available when needed.

I stayed with a group of friends (9 people total) at this property for a week. We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious the place is, especially for the price. It was perfectly suited for evenings after a day out rock climbing, and the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking a variety of breakfasts and dinners (we made extensive use of the waffle maker). The layout and furniture were comfortable and everything was clean upon arrival. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood away from public spaces, but we found it was just a quick drive from the New River Gorge and other places of interest. Overall a very good deal!

This condo is perfect for a couple! It’s a quiet and cozy ski-in, ski-out retreat located in Silver Creek with easy parking. You can also take the shuttle to Snowshoe Mountain for even more skiing options. The space is clean, comfortable, and offers a beautiful view of the slopes. The small kitchen was a great bonus, and the fireplace made our stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay at Amy’s place! The apartment was very cute and homey with all amenities you could need. The location was great for exploring some of the parts of New River Gorge National Park off the beaten path, and it was beautiful and peaceful being right on the river. The trains passing by were a bit loud during the night and the water did have a sulphur smell, however, those things are listed in the description of the apartment, so it did not impact my rating since we came in knowing what to expect. Amy was also a very responsive and friendly host!

Dave created an environment that makes guests feel immediately comfortable and at ease. Dave the Super Host was very knowledgeable about the location, amenities, and services, and able to provide helpful recommendations. Dave and his son was very Positive and Professional.

Cute apartment! I stayed there in the winter, but the proximity to the river would be great in warm weather. I appreciated having access to extra towels. The corner shower may be challenging for people with a big frame.

The stay was overall very good and we would recommend this property. The location was beautiful and secluded. The caretaker was warm and welcoming. Instructions on how to access the property were prompt and detailed. The garage apartment smelled very good and was exceptionally clean. It is set up more like a studio. The entryway is where the first bed is located with laundry and bathroom. The second bed is located in the main studio area. The laundry was very helpful with detergent available. If you have pets, please kennel them as there are pet deterrents behind the couch that could be dangerous. Overall it is a 5/5 rating and we have shared the listing with family for when they stay in the area.

The three days I was there it was chilly & it rained… so having the carport was really nice along with the space heaters too. Kitchen had everything I needed and loved having a washer/dryer. Great stay!

Carol was very responsive and the condo was exactly as advertised. We loved the 60 second walk to the hot tubs and being right in the heart of the village. Would stay here every time I come to Snowshoe.

love the vibe of the place, from the nostalgia of the living quarters to the 50's themed soda shop. if you love to bake or like old fashion milkshakes, you can make them here. They have all the things to enjoy. Deer in the yard in the morning.

Great backwoods place to sleep and get away from the world. Cabin was small and comfortable with the appliances listed in the description. Bathroom was clean and each cabin had their own shower and toilet. The host was easy to work with and helped us make a great stay.

We love staying at the Mason Jar cabin. This was our second stay and definitely won’t be our last. It is a beautiful cabin and so cozy. Close to everything in town you can walk everywhere!

We had a very nice few days at Half-Pint. In spite of some bad weather it was still possible to get out and visit New River Gorge and the surrounding area from Tara's cabin. Beautiful location, cozy interior, and Tara's responsive hosting made for a very good trip.

We came down to whitewater raft and zipline with Adventures on the Gorge. The cabin was so close to Adventures on the Gorge. It is nice and secluded, and has everything you need for your getaway! The hottub was great after a long day of adventuring. The host gave great local recommendations and even stopped by our first night to see if we needed anything. Our two boys (10 and 12) enjoyed the woods around the cabin. The personal touches were amazing- fresh flowers on the table, fresh baked cookies, and souvenir glasses to take home! I have stayed many places, but this one is a favorite for sure!

The cabin was comfortable for our group of four, and we enjoyed using the hot tub. The resort staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location for accessing NRG National Park trails.

Took my 7 year old son to Capt-n Cliffs to fish for 2.5 days on spring break. We had an amazing time. Cliff and Jill are top notch hosts. Super friendly and great people doing great work that provides a great escape from the daily grind. Really enjoyed the fishing access to all the ponds. We caught trout, catfish, bluegill, crappie, small and large mouth bass. Jill was quick to responsive to our questions. We look forward to making more trips to this beautiful part of the country!

Five stars is just not enough for this piece of perfection in the woods by the creek. We had an amazing few days and as much as I’d like to keep it a secret you have to visit this place, probably the best Air B n B we have been to. It had everything we could have desired, so book in, bring your food and drink and just relax. Fabulous.

We planned a last min trip and Mirandas place near where we wanted to be and was available . The place is so nice and was super clean. Miranda was great communicating and went above and beyond. We highly recommend her place if your gonna be in this area!!
