Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Fremont County

We had a great stay! The location was ideal for us—within a few miles’ reach of Salida’s restaurants, shops, etc., but private and removed from highway noise. The mountain view from the kitchen/dining/patio area is beautiful! Plenty of space for our group of 8, comfy couch seating for movie nights in the living room, and comfortable beds.

We had a wonderful time! As soon as we got there, we felt like at home. Tom was always very responsive and accommodating. We loved our stay!

First, take a photo of the key code and text to your group. I did not and left my phone in the house. So, yes, I locked us out. Everything was on my phone. My friend sent a message through AirBnB to Wendy explaining what happened. She called her right away and got us back in the house. Phew! The house is a 10-minute walk to downtown Salida, which is so cute. Full of shops, places to each, art galleries, stores for kids, an arcade, etc. One can walk to the grocery too. The house had everything we needed. It is nicely maintained, quiet and comfortable. Our only issue was the one bathroom. We managed with it. If you have a teen who takes forever anytime they in the bathroom, this could be a problem. Plenty of hot water for several showers in a row and lots of towels. Really like having the washer/dryer access even a drying rack. I would stay here again!

Jeremy is a great host. Responsive and accommodating. Nice house layout and comfortable. Garage space, with the opener is a real plus. Canon City is worth the visit.

Fantastic Stay! We had an absolutely wonderful time at this cozy home! The house was clean, comfortable, and had such a warm, inviting atmosphere. The backyard was definitely the highlight — it was spacious, beautiful, and perfect for relaxing. We especially loved that our dog had a fenced-in yard to roam around in, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hosts were amazing — super responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We truly felt taken care of. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others looking for a peaceful, comfortable getaway!

I don't think there is a better spot to stay in Salida. 1 minute to run/bike trails, 2 minutes to restaurants, walk to grocery store and swim in the river right in your backyard. Place was immaculate and everything worked perfectly.

We loved this little studio apartment. It had everything we wanted. Located right in downtown salida we could walk to everything. We would love to come back again in the future!

Great location! Right in the middle of downtown. Small walk to the river, restaurants, etc. Gina's place was clean, and has a lot of character. There are many blankets and amenities for your comfort, however, it is a shared common area and noise travels. we recommend bringing ear plugs just in case. We loved staying here and would love to come back again!

Ms Rose has a wonderful condo. She could definitely give a Master class on how to run and stock a condo. She was very helpful with restaurants and any questions we had. We will definitely be staying there again! Thanks again Ms. Rose.

The location can not be beaten. Easily walkable to downtown shops, restaurants, and the Arkansas River. Literally next door to Natural Grocers and across the street from Safeway so grabbing food or other necesseties was no problem. 30 minutes from Monarch Mountain; we skied all day, and then I walked to the river from the apartment to catch fish for an hour before we found a place for dinner. The place is as described, clean with a cosy living room/kitchen. Bedrooms/bathrooms are roomy and the rooftop view is wonderful. This is a highly recommended place to stay unless stairs are an issue for you.
